Excellent, professional and thorough service

Manny was the tech who came to our home today for our seasonal check up on our air conditioner. We were very satisfied with his service as well as the service we recieve from Patrick Riley Cooling staff office.

They were very pleasant to work with and went right to work at what I consider a hard job. Cleaned up when they were done.
Freddy *** is such an outstanding representative for this company. His expertise and pleasant demeanor was outstanding.

We really appreciate the quality and excellent service we received from Patrick Riley C H & P. They have demonstrated they sincerely care about their customers to us and we are very pleased with the professionalism provided by each of the technician's who came to our home to service, inspect and eventually replace our AC unit. The installation and replacement of our system was complete and very well done with nothing left to guess about. The crew were hard workers, safe, efficient, quality oriented, fast and very courteous and respectful. We recommend Patrick Riley Cooling, Heating and Plumbing and will call them in the future.

I had a very positive experience with a new AC unit installation with Patrick Riley. Michael has been very responsive and professional on the sales side. Ian did a great job on the installation. Highly recommend!

I contracted with Patrick Riley to repair my tub. Patrick Riley charged me $1100 and sub-contracted my job out to Plumbing Master and they did a very sy job. When we turned on the water the next day the spout shot off into the tub. Also, he left the blue tape showing on the shower head pipe. I was overcharged for this project mainly when the company used moen stock cheap plastic supplies, I was not able to pick out my own brass fixture. The tech got to my house at 9:45 a.m. and left at 12 p.m. When I went to use the master shower in my bedroom I noticed he had cut the hole so rough it move the *** plate in the shower. Also, the fact I had to have someone actually come and fix the screw up in order for us to use that tub. Unfortunately, you can’t see it in the picture but Josh, only put white caulk on one side of the spout and it was very sloppy where the handle plate and spout is located. In doing some research the cost of the tub set to cost around $125. and the average labor is normally $150. an hour the copper piping is around $70. A job that should cost at the most $700. I had to pay $1100. dollars, not the mention the additional cost to have it down the right way. I do have pictures showing the messy job done to include my shower plate.

Patrick Riley Cooling Heating and Plumbing Response • Apr 25, 2018

Revdex.com,

We have talked with the homeowner that posted the complaint. We sent a check back for $125 for the cost of his son's plumber friend to come and fix the tub spout. We offered to come out to the home and fix another issue as well and he has declined to have us back out to his home and also he did not want the $125 back. I offered to give him more money back if he was not satisfied and thought that he did not pay a fair price for the job he received. I explained that sometimes a complaint is a huge way for us to grow as a company because we can learn from our mistakes. The plumber that was at his home has been plumbing for many years and has worked for us for years and has always did a great job, unfortunately he did not perform his best at his homes and I apologized for this. I asked him many times to reconsider letting us send a manager out to his home to fix whatever he had concerns with and he had declined. He expected a job well done and he did not receive the value he felt he deserved and I did not disagree with him, our plumber even left a tool at his home and he drove to our shop and dropped it off, which was unheard of.

He is a real stand up guy! I wish we could have worked something out but he has lost all trust in our company and has refused. I explained that we were a company of integrity and would back anything that we did, even if we did it wrong, we would make it right. We practice ethics daily and wished we could prove it. I am left feeling like we truly failed him and I cannot recover without proving we are a great company that made a few mistakes. We leave this in his hands at this point.

Sincerely,

Brian *** (owner)

I'm sorry but there has not been any resolution to the is a complaint. In fact, I haven't heard from the company When the guy from Plumbing Master was here doing that messed up the job he left a tool. I returned to the Patrick Riley on 4/19/18. I have already replaced the shower head with what I wanted out of my own pocket. Also, I was told it was interest-free for 6 months and that wasn't true I had to explain to the finance company what happy and they decided to not charge me the interest. The only resolution I expect is them refunding me for overcharging me for a job that should cost around $700 to 800. dollars.

I order a bi-yearly check on my A/C, Patrick Riley had an ad in the paper for a free check up. My tech was Chris, who did the check up and came up with 8 things that needed replaced at a cost of $1041.13. With a quote that high, I always get a second opinion. I called another company out to check the system and he said that while my unit was older, everything was working properly and nothing needed to be done now. Read an article that said when AC/Heating companies will make a FREE service call checkup, most times they need to find things to replace to pay for their trip to your house. I will not use them again, they wanted over $1,000 when not necessary. I will not use them again. Maybe you shouldn't either.

Matt and Shawn were excellent they diagnosed the problem they fixed the problem and they were very professional..kudos to Patrick ***??

When I first came to Apache Junction to look at purchasing a Mobile Home I was very expressive about not being able to afford to fix major problems. Walking around the mobile home I noted and asked about the A/C which and as I explained to the Patrick Riley representative that my AC looked like a rust bucket. However it wasn’t and it was working great. So I asked the Realtor at the time about it and she informed me that if we went out looking at any of the mobiles in this Park that most A/Cs would look the same (and the A/C’s were actually brown in color), and then she went in to speak to the owner who informed her there was no problems with the A/C or Heater. Though there is a swamp cooler on the roof no information has been supplied or asked. My first Electric bill from *** was for $200.00, after coming down from the ceiling I contacted *** because aside from it being a mobile home I have had larger places and always with ***, I had never had a bill that high. So I was contacted by an Environmental Group probing leaks and ducts. Turns out they were working in cooperation with *** to help with high costs. *** paid me for this which I signed over to this group. When they were here they found where leaks were as in my windows in the kitchen, and removed old tape in the vents and cleaned them and replaced the tape with some sort of cement mixture while also taking readings by putting plastic in my door and blowing out all the air to determine where or if my air is just being sucked out. The only recommendation was to have my kitchen windows secured. Otherwise the A/C and Heater were in good standing. So as I am always checking the temperature I woke up and noted that the gauge read 84 deg. and it didn’t feel like that and I keep my AC on 79 deg or higher, so why would it be at that temp. I took the gauge down and replaced the batteries; it didn’t seem to change so I purchased a new thermostat from *** I have replaced thermostats before however not the backs with the wiring. But by the time I got home, the gauge was reading the correct information. So I just kept the new thermostat in case In July 2017, I got up and the temperature along with the day was great and thinking about how old this place was and the lack of money I had, I decided to follow my Mothers way of thinking to get a Maintenance Contract for the expensive A/C and Heater. I went to the computer and did some research. At the end of June and before July 12, 2017 (I can’t find the actual date right now), I saw a commercial for a company talking about maintenance for A/C – Heaters, and thought that I didn’t know how old these were and they were working great so I got on line and found an ad for Patrick Riley Cooling & Heating & Plumbing. So I contacted them and told them exactly, “my Mother always had contracts on her expensive equipment and I told them that my AC/Heater were working perfect and I want to keep them that way as I can’t afford to replace them.” I said I want to get a Maintenance Contract to keep on top of it. “Sure we can help with that,” and then asked me some questions about my finances, then made an appointment with them to come here. The first guy was “Oliver.” He went out back and when he came in he informed me that with all the parts that were needed it would be $995.00 and I could just add that amount to a 5 year contract for a total of $1,348.00 and they would come out twice a year for maintenance, and plumbing. I was in shock and asked him how my unit was working so great if it required all these parts. I really don’t remember his answer and it’s hard to argue a point about something you don’t know anything about. However I contacted the Revdex.com and the State Licensing Board and the Attorney Generals office, all of which said the same thing “Patrick Riley has one unresolved complaint but the time has not run out but other than that you have a great grade”.“Oliver” sat down and began to make phone calls and then informed me that they ran my credit and that he would run the costs, which I had thought, would be with them their financing. But then Oliver approaches me with paperwork for - Synchrony Bank (not a favorite of mine). To be honest aside from high interest rates, communication is very difficult for me with most anyone answering the phone at Synchrony. So I asked my Credit Union Visa to pay it off as I would rather go through them. They paid Patrick Riley in total and I am making the additional payments on my Visa (which I am still paying). Then Oliver informed me that my pilot light was still on for the heater and asked if I wanted it off and after asking some questions about turning it back on I agreed. I have never rented from anyone who controls the temperatures, so I was concerned about him telling me that they would come out to relight it. I informed him that even though I take medicine for the loss of my thyroid but that it doesn’t seem to be enough and I have Grave’s disease, so there are times that I have the heat on I also have my fans on and visa versa. “NO Oliver said, it won’t be a problem!” Not once did he tell me he found a hole in the heater. So somewhere in the beginning of October I called Patrick Riley so they would come and relight my pilot, I was informed they would be out somewhere in January and did I understand that the contract was twice a year and that was every six months?!. I did get upset and informed them I wanted it now. They didn’t come out.Now it was November 3, 2017, and the same thing was happening with the thermostat so I attempted to replace it with the new one, but it wouldn’t work and realizing that it had to be attached to the back plate provided (which had wires and I had asked *** if it was the same kind of Thermostat after pointing out on my old one for “System” it had everything the same except also had the verbiage “Cool off Heat Em Heat & the highlighted was not on the original but the guy at *** said they were both the same), I know nothing about that and have less money than that to hire someone. But then I wondered if that contract would cover this and contacted Patrick Riley and asked the person answering the phone if this is covered on my contract. This is what I was told by Oliver that my contract covered, NO SERVICE FEES, and only if they had to replace parts with their parts I would get a 25% discount, otherwise no fees; so I was unsure what would be covered but the girl that answered the phone said yes we will get someone out there as soon as possible. So now on 11-4-2017, enter “Houston” from Patrick Riley. I explained to him what had happened so far and he said to me “just so you know this will be $180.00 and I said No I am under contract. Now Houston went outside and came back saying “I just talked to my boss and he said that the least I can charge you is $125.00 and that is the VIP charge”. I said why are you charging me anything? He picked up the thermomstat and said this is our equipment! I said no and picked up the box which also had the receipt on it and said this is my equipment, I purchased it at ***. He said, well it belongs to Patrick Riley. I said you are out of your mind, please attach that and I will argue this matter with your Manager Tomorrow (as it was already late). As I stood there watching how he was trying to put the back plate on, I realized he didn’t know what he was doing and I asked him. He confessed that he didn’t but that he was still in training and I said “why are you here when you don’t know what you are doing?” He also discussed with me that he had been in the service for two terms, he was very nice and I complained to him that they should not send him anywhere without a back-up and the knowledge to do the job. So I walked away from him but while in the living room which is just around the corner from where he was working, I asked since you are here now please light the pilot for the heater before you leave instead of someone else coming here. After about 20 minutes he came to me and said he didn’t want to light the pilot as it had a hole and it would be dangerous and could cause carbon monoxide to build up. At the same time he seemed very nervous, but I asked him where the hole was as this is the first I have heard anything about it and that I have an alarm, so I asked him are you afraid to light it because it’s gas? He just looked at me, so I said if it bothers you I don’t want you to do it, but you need to let your Manager know how very unfair it is for you and I to be sent to do work you don’t understand. He never did show me the hole.So after Houston I honestly don’t remember if I contacted the company again or if Houston called them to inform him he was having problems here. “Mike T”, who came over after 10:00 pm and informed me that he had left his date to come here, I felt bad for him, but he was very nice and informed me that it was alright as they had been seeing each other for a few years, OKAY. So Mike wanted to know what happened and I explained everything up to then, so he went out back to check the AC, but I don’t know what that had to do with the Thermostat. He came back in and went to the thermostat and I watched him remove it from the wall and when he did several screws fell out.He made a comment about Houston and then snickered. He said he was leaving and on his way out said, “You need to replace the AC I mean its 22 years old”. I said listen my AC and Heater were working perfect before you guys came out and supposedly replaced $995.00 worth of parts and put me on a 5 year contract for an additional $353.00(?) and then charged me $125.00 (actually he ran my card twice and it was charged $250.00, but by the next morning they had returned the over charge but not the service fee) to come out here and put a thermostat on that I purchased and now neither of my systems are working. I was extremely mad, and told him that they were responsible and don’t start blaming me because the equipment is 22 years old if its 22 years old then it was that age when you guys charged me all this money and put me on a contract. I said I am 63 years old and I still work! I also told him that it seems that every male thinks it’s their right to take advantage of women. I informed him that I wanted a maintenance contract because I could not afford new systems. Maybe it would have broken down on its own the next day, but it was working perfectly before they stepped in. As he was leaving he said, you need a new AC.So apparently one of these guys informed their boss Ted G, Service Manager because he contacted me the next day and said he was coming out here. So before he got here I went outdoors to see the A/C as Oliver had told me that he had to clean it by rinsing it out. I found that the large black cover for the electrical cords (I assume) had been split down the center and someone had put aluminum foil inside it and then noticed more foil covering the motor - What was this?So Ted G arrives and asks if he could see the AC, goes out and comes back in, sits down and begins to shake his head back and forth and says while still shaking his head says “I don’t know what happened here”, but “the first thing we need to do is to return all your money!” I said well you can’t just leave me without heat and cooling. Mr. G then said no I will have to go back and come up with some ideas for replacing this equipment, and then as he sat there seeming to be upset he asked,“ how much can you afford a month?” I said what for? He said to replace the AC & Heater! I said I can afford maybe $25.00 or $30.00 a month, but why am I going to pay that? So now Mr. G says wait I have to go back and make some phone calls and see what we can do.Mr. G emailed me his plan on 11-29-17, and I immediately called him and told him NO. I said you need to fix the AC and Heater. He said no we don’t, you know you called us to come there because you broke it, snicker. I said I called because I didn’t know how to put the backing for the thermostat on and you do need to fix it, it was working perfect before you all came here. I said don’t you have insurance? He said why it’s not our problem you broke it.I called my OneAZ Credit Union to ask them about something I heard about before of Visa helping when a person is being ripped off, or insurance? I was informed that it would have been Synchrony’s onus but that I basically stopped that process by having my Visa pay it off.If you note he sent a Revised Proposal and I called him like an it having no email to support it, but I told him no again. Why am I going to pay $4200? Then on 11-31-18 he came here with “Josh, his install man”. In my doorway with Josh, Ted G said “Josh got a really great deal, you will only pay $2500 for a brand new AC and Heater, I finally gave in, this Company acted like thieves - yes they have AAA with you and the State Contractors office, but how many people can argue what they don’t understand. I could not think about the coming winter and more the summer without the AC and Heater and they were acting as though it was my choice. Take this or leave the system broke. Not a choice in my mind. But in reality they also took my old AC with $995.00 worth of brand new parts which I repeated that to them and they said I know we will resell them.I have asked Mr. G twice about the aluminum foil and the black cord holder being cut and the foil put on the motor, he told me that “I spoke to my employees and they deny doing that!” Really? By the way when they removed the old AC they broke the cement block it was sitting on and cut into some of the side of the Mobile Home. I have not spoken to them as I know they will deny that too.In approximately February someone called me and I couldn’t understand who they were the guy then said “we need to come out for the first inspection you don’t remember us – we were just there in December?” I said you are not coming out here I am still very angry about all the lies and you probably want to break something else.So now on top of paying my Bank Visa the $1,348.00 I am paying $2,500.00 or $50.00 a month. Like I said plus they have or had almost a thousand dollars of supposedly new parts in my AC.

Travis (service tech) was thorough and took time to explain his work and options. I have both A/C and evaporative cooler units, and he's well versed in each. I chose to have him do an extra service because of his personal experience and recommendation. I highly recommend this company, which I've been using for 2 yrs, and in particular, Travis - He does a great job as a representative of this company.

Today I had a technician by the name of Chris come to my house and diagnose my air conditioning problem. He was smart fast friendly knowledgeable and took care of my situation quickly. He explained so that I can understand what was going on and was patient and listening to all my complaints to better diagnose the problem. This is a great company I recommend it to all!

So happy to have used this company-their communication is exceptional using phone, email and text to advise of when their tech will arrive as well as to introduce him in advance. That’s a security feature anyone alone in their home at the time of service can appreciate.

Chris came out to tune up our AC unit and was great to work with. He was prompt, polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. We now have information and a number of options to consider as we take our next step.

Will definitely work with them again!

Great job clean and on time.

It was due to Mike’s professionalism and knowledge along with being a veteran that made me choose Patrick Riley for my air-conditioning replacement. There installers showed up on time and had the job done with in that day. Mike was extremely professional and courteous and would highly recommend him and his employer Patrick Riley for your air-conditioning needs.

Professional expert service! I would highly recommend to anyone.

Water everywhere and needed someone asap!!! Called around and Patrick Riley was able to get someone to me w/in an hr. Unfortunately once diagnosed it was after hrs to get a replacement water heater...next morn, Shawn showed up with his "cape" on to restore my hot water. Made sure all the piping was done right and the new tank was installed as if it were his own home and educated me on the maintenance of the heater, which wasn't done with the last company! Grrr! Even helped out with a faucet for my washing machine that was nearby which was a potential hazard. This man needs a raise!!
Seriously, great experience with a messed up situation.

Great service, professional, and competent. Would definitely refer them to anyone.

Ron with Patrick Riley was very professional, polite, did his job in a timely manner. I will most definitely recommend to others. LaRonda K. Executive/ HR Assistant and Group home manager

They did an excellent job giving us a quote on our repairs.

We had an AC unit installed and a reverse osmosis for the kitchen installed. Fantastic service. Professional communication all across the board. A special acknowledgement to Nikki, the dispatcher who went above and beyond to rectify a minor issue. I will recommend Patrick Riley to everyone!
