great experience with the power home team so far. installation is complete, just waiting for duke energy to switch out the meter to go live and see how much power we are producing.

Thank you kindly, ***. We can't wait until we can turn the system on!

We cannot get the company to return our calls. They promised us enough EEP packages to cover our entire home and that never happened
We cannot get the company to return our calls. They promised us enough EEP packages to cover our entire home and that never happened and they said they would put it in which never happened. Now our electric co is here to switch out our meter and our system hasn't been inspected like promised and we cannot reach the co.

Desired Outcome

1/2 refund for mental stress and company never doing job the said they would and not getting us items promised.

The salesperson was not truthful with the product. Product does not do what I need it to do for me They said what was needed to be said to make a sale
The saleswoman sold me product that did not suit me needs and only said the things that needed to be said to make a sale. I asked about the backup batteries they had and she told me I did not need them cause the solar panels will work during the daylight hours with limited power and they batteries are used to store the power onsite instead of at dominion. I found this after the sale was done and when I needs were needed they could not produce. I contacted them regarding my issue and they transferred me to the district manager. The district manager heard my complaint and even told me they had the same issue like I was having from other customers and is the reason that person is no longer with them. His only solution to solve my problem was for me buy even more stuff that doesnt even suit my needs. His only concern was to try and make another sale off of me then to truly address my issue and fix it. I tried to explain that I do not need a home generator if I have solar panels. I bought the solar panels with the intent to have limited power during the daylight hours when I do lose power. Which the saleswoman told me I would have so hence the reasoning I purchased the solar panels. The district manager told me he will get back with me in a few days over a week ago and I never heard back from him or even got the information I requested from him either

Desired Outcome

I'm looking for the job to be done the way I request it to be done with is to have limited power when I do lose power or a partial refund for an incomplete job. I bought the solar panels to have limited power when I lose power and was told I did not need the backup batteries

My solar panels took a long time to get connected, so I did not qualify for the Duke Energy rebate I was promised. After a year of challenges, they still only produce a third of the energy needed, so instead of saving money like I was promised. I now have a loan payment and an energy bill. In total, I pay 223% more. I have never complained about a company before or filled a complaint, but this is immoral. I have worked with three different people trying to make this right. Two of their employees that I worked with left or were fired, and the third one was very nice, but she didn't succeed in getting me even a small portion of the savings that I was promised. Please don't work with this company. Learn from my mistake. Even if you are hoping to do the right thing for the environment, solar panels with this company *** only lead to debt and worries.

I have been given a good bit of hope that my problem might be resolved. The company has reached out again. This time a supervisor is asking whether additional panels can be installed for free to fix the problem. I really hope that the company will fulfill their side of the bargain. I'll update about whether they make this right.

Hi *** we are so glad we have been able to begin rectifying this for you. Thanks for choosing Powerhome.

Power Home Solar poorly installed solar panels that caused damage and never gave me the savings that were promised at time of our agreement.
I'm writing this in regards to South Carolina's high standard of business practices and how Power Home Solar, from *** Mooresville, NC 28115, has disrespected our state as well as me as a citizen. A Sales Rep for Power Home Solar, came to my house and quoted me a price on solar panels. He promised that the savings on my monthly electric bill would offset the cost of the panels which would give me a steady monthly payment that would go toward the purchase of my panels. After paying off the panels, our savings benefit from the solar panels would be extra money in my pocket.
However, The panels failed to work from the beginning. From January 2018 to October 2018, Power Home sent tech after tech to resolve the issue. Nevertheless, we didn't see any changes after their attempts. I called and spoke with Power Home who put me in touch with their engineers and they concluded we didn't have enough panels. They sent me an agreement to sign, waiving my rights to taking legal actions, to add more panels because Sales rep underestimated the coverage required for my size home. I refused to sign away my rights because I could not trust they would resolve the problem with their solution. We ended up calling another outstanding roofing/ solar company to replace the roof that had been damaged by Power Home Solar. The damage wasn't revealed until the major rains that occurred at the latter part of 2018. They took the panels down, replaced the roof, and reset the panels discovering the roof was not inspected before the panels were first installed. They also discovered the panels were not properly wired and would never function according to specifications. They also reaffirmed that we didn't have enough panels to cover our home, they would never produce enough energy to save us money. We have payed double in energy bills since we acquired panels from Power Home Solar, as well as having major repairs

Desired Outcome

For the past two years I've been hoping that Power Home would do the right thing. I even called *** the solar lender and they didn't satisfy the situation. I'm unclear on what they did to help in the matter because no one ever followed up after I made my complaint to them. Both Power Home Solar and *** have solidified in my mind they do not care about the consumer. I'm also beginning to believe that our public institutions, that get complaint after complaint for the last 4 years of renewed energy consumer problems, don't care because there are no consequences for the businesses and seemingly no resolution for the customer. I want to be out of my contract and finished with solar panels. I have lost faith in this method as it is proposed now to work for the consumer.

Had solar panels installed in Dec 2019 and still are not operational, They finance it so that you need to pay tax credit to credit union , but you don
No service as of today, tax credit isn't recieved as a lump sum and therefore can't be paid to financial service, told 2 months use before first payment , I've made 2 payment ( they did reimburse the first said they would the second but no money so far ) I wasn't to do anything and they did everything , Now DTE isn't doing anything other then emergency work. I think they need to pay these payments and stop Fudging the truth about the tax credit. If they can't do this then remove equipment and repair any damage they've done

Desired Outcome

get system operational and pay the monthly payments till this is resolved

This is a Solar Panels issue. We were told that the panels would offset the amount owed on monthly power bill.
The salsemen that they sent out Chris R told us a few untruths. One he claimed that the solar panels once they were installed and running. That they would offset our monthly amount owed on our power bill. This has not happened. I have only seen a reduction of $8.00- 10.00 dollars. While the APP that the company has shows that the panels are producing a much bigger savings per kwh. This is never reflected on our bill. I have spoke with Duke Energy who claimed the full amount of what the solar panels had produced is reflected on our bill. In addition they claimed we would receive at least $6,000.00 dollars in our tax refund. When I filed it would only allow me to take a very small portion of this $23,520.00 loan amount off as a tax credit. $1,426.00 was all that could be claimed. We have contacted the company on several occasions. Their customer no service representative has told us that the reading on their end shows that the panels are producing to their capacity and that should be reflected on our bill. So I now have a power bill being reduced by $8.00 or 10.00 dollars and Loan payment. A month ago a representative from ***P.O. Box ***. XXXXX-XXXX Billing Inquires (XXX) XXXXXXX Loan #***, called and wanted to know if I would be using my entire tax refund to pay down on my loan to keep my payment at the amount that it is at now. I told him originally I had but that now I had concerns that the panels were not producing the savings that they had claimed. He suggested that the panels had to be producing what the APP said that they were and their could not be a problem. He suggested that they could have more panels installed. I told him that the panels that were installed were figured out at that time to offset our consumption rate. I also had a daughter to move out of the house lowering our consumption from the previous year.
They list on the Plot Plan with Roof Plans as :
16X Silfab Solar Silfab SLA 300W Mono Modules
Roof Mounted Solar Photovoltaic Modules System Size: 4.80 kW DC STC
Array Area : Roof #1-281.28 SQ. FT.
EQUIPMENT SUMMARY
16 Silfab Solar Silfab SLA 300 W Mono Modules
16 Solaredge Power Optmizer P320
01 Solaredge SE5000H-US Inverter

Desired Outcome

We would like them taken off of our roof. Our roof should then be restored back to the condition it was as before the installation. Specifically a new roof in the area that they installed the solar panels. They have compromised the integrity of our roof by drilling holes through the shingles and into the roofing materials for support brackets. We feel that trying to just fill these many holes would not be restoring the roof to the condition it was in before the installation. In addition I would like all costs refunded back for the installation.

Thank you for the positive review, ***. Enjoy your new solar panels.

The salesman that came to my house lied about the product and the savings I could expect.I
I met the salesman in my home march of 2019. He told me that the system would produce enough electricity that my new cost to *** would be around $20.00 dollars a month. I made a decision based on his misguided information to borrow $45,000 dollars to purchase the system because I was convinced that I could pay for the solar panel with the payments I was already making to*** energy. After they installed the system on my roof, my energy bill did not change enough to make a big difference as the salesman had convince me it would. I called *** and they told me that I didn't have enough panels and I need to contact Power Home Solar to request more panels. When I contacted Power Home Solar they told me that I needed to talk to the same Salesman that got me into this mess, When I talked to him he was still trying to tell me the same lie as he did at first and he could not do anything. I went back to the company and realized that they were standing behind the salesman and backing him. Now I need more panels and They are not giving them to me. I paid too much for the panels that are not worth anything to me and I refuse to give them more money for more panels. Now I am left with two bills that I am stuck with and they are doing nothing to help me out. They ask me for and old*** energy bill and a new one and I have sent both to them and they have done nothing for me.

Desired Outcome

I just want them to put enough panels on my roof to align with the promse ore just give me a refund and let me get someone else. I paid 45,000 dollares
