The only problem I see is that there isn't any way to leave a six star review. Steve was unbelievably helpful in ordering my engine, knowledgable about current specifications of the engine, and getting it shipped out. There was a slight burble, but it was most likely due to the fact that I ordered the engine at the end of the week, if memory serves. If I ever need another engine for anything, I am going to call Steve, and the folks at Powertrain Direct. If you are smart, you will, too.

Worst experience in my life--they lied to me right off the bat and after many many many calls they still did not give me an update after 10 business days, said it would deliver in 7. I final after 3 weeks of dealing with them and zero news or update I canceled my order. They then wanted to charge my card a restocking fee / there was no engine to restock ha and then they wanted to charge me CC fee. They over promise a under deliver in every aspect especially customer service. My mechanic warned me about them but I gave them a chance. It was terrible, will never, ever do business with this company again.
We record all of our phone calls. Mr. Wewe was refunded in full - he never paid any restocking or credit card fees. Please take the time to read below and understand this situation.
Most of our engines have no build time at all, we can ship them out with free shipping that very day. However, we are always willing to work with customers who are looking for a less common part which might need time to be manufactured - such as this case. Mr. Wewe was looking for a 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser (not very common these days).
He was told it would need to be manufactured and given an ESTIMATED build time of 10 business days. If something has to be built, which is not common, then we are always up front with the customer (to avoid situations like this!)
Mr. Wewe ordered on the 6th and cancelled exactly 10 business days later when he was refunded in full. The many calls he gave us in between that time that he refers to above, he was consistently told that it was being built - it was still within the window of a build time.
Mr. Wewe was paid back the exact amount of money he paid Powertrain Direct - he never paid restocking fees or credit card processing fees.
Ha let's take this from the top- yes you did refund me in full thank you- but it was 2 weeks after and I called several times, finally Chase who gave me the worst service got an authorization within 30 mins. I was told by Chase no longer than 7 business days check your recording then when I would call for an update nobody had any idea the status and promised to call me back never got a callback one time until I spoke with Luke. I repeat I WAS NOT TOLD IT WAS BEING BUILT CHECK YOUR RECORDINGS! Nobody ever had any status on anything and then I spoke to *** and he literally said "man I hope you weren't looking to get this engine soon" I was like hmm thanks. If you really want to get technical check your recordings on what Chase told me about getting the additional 5 year warrenty I told him I would buy it but wanted paperwork and he said I could buy it after I order and that he got his sales managers approval after two days of not hearing from him I finally got ahold of him and said I couldn't buy it. However you want to spin or sugar coat your statement above if you listened to the recordings I was very reasonable in what I asked and I understand it was a unique engine but the service and communication was god awfuland all I really wanted was just updates but instead I was promised call back after call back and with no end in sight canceled my order. My guess is you didn't listen to all the calls or you would understand my position as well.
