I have been lied to and ignored after paying in full almost $3000. I have asked several times to speak with a supervisor and have never been able to.
Called on 7/5/18. talked to Josh Perez. Called back and ordered a tranny from Steve Oxford. Paid $2850.00 in full. Was given a delivery date of 7/13/18. Called on 7/12/18 and *** answered. Said he was the sales manager and would get to the bottom of it. Put on hold for about 10 minutes. Came back on and said he needed more time to investigate and would call me back. Never did. Called back on 7/13/18 and person answering phone said name was Jackson. I went over the same stuff and told about talking with *** and was then informed that he was *** but answered the phone as Jackson. I should have known right then I was getting the runaround. *** put me on hold again to check on my tranny. Came back and told me it was sitting in a warehouse. He said that it would be another week to get it and that was the normal time. I told him I was given a delivery date and had planned my work according to it. He said they did not give delivery dates and I said I was given one to go check the phone recording. He said he would and would call me back. never heard a word. Waited all weekend. Never heard from him so called back Mon or Tue. No answers on Josh, Steve, or Nathans phone. Called the main number and Katie answered. I told her my problem and was transferred to Josh again. He put me on hold and and after 5 minutes or so came back with the story that the tranny had failed a function test the previous week after being built. But the sales manager, *** couldn't find this information out in three days. I was told by Josh that the tranny was shipping out Monday, 7/16/18 and tracking info would come via email. Today is Wednesday and no tracking info yet. Called Josh and he put me on hold and came back and said the tranny place doesn't open until 10am eastern time. I have asked repeatedly to talk to someone higher up in the chain of command or get a callback from someone in that position and now no calls are answered and no callback as of yet. It has cost me over $5000 in missed work to date and accrues every day I can't get my money back or my transmission. Lie after lie after lie. Josh even told me he was a new employee there and felt bad about what was going on. But he still couldn't help. My last call was an angry one and some foul language was used but was not directed at anyone personally and no threats were made. They record every call they say. I have a hard time believing all of the good experiences that are posted are real. I expected professional help and received it only when they took my money. They did that perfectly. Worst business experience of my almost 60 years. So now I have to wait until they either decide to refund my money or a dispute goes through with my card company to purchase another transmission. And my lost wages grows by $650-$800 a day every day of the week.I have never been lied to so much or treated so badly by a company.

Desired Outcome

I want apologies for the lies first and foremost. And then the full truth about the no callbacks from *** and an explanation about him using the name Jackson when answering the next day. I want a concession of some kind because this $2850 transmission is going to cost me at least $10,000 in lost wages and probably more. And still no callback today from anyone, much less someone higher than a sales rep.

While most of our products are always in stock and ready to ship, there is an occasional unit that is still on the line or going through testing.

If there is anything at all we can do for you in the future, we would be happy to give you a 10% discount.

Customer service agent, *** was great very helpful. There was a mix up with what was shipped and they quickly fixed the issue with no delay.

I'm from Alabama and I searched for months for a motor and I came across this website and I imidiately contacted Scott Allen... he was so helpful with helping me find the exact motor I needed. We had a little wait time on it so I probably called him 15 times and he was just as nice every time I called as he was the first time I talk to him. I run my own store and this guy would be someone I'd want as an employee. Very professional and very friendly. I can't thank him
Enough for his help. He cares abt his customers because he contacted to askin how the motor was and if it worked for me and makin sure I got the product that was promised. Great man! Please give this guy a nice pat on the back for me!! I will highly recommend this company to anyone needin a motor.

I bought transmission from them they came and picked up old transmission and said that I would be getting my refund whenever they got transmission so 2 weeks went by no money I. My account from them I called and they said that fraudulent checks were written from account I. Which my refund was coming from I explained that that's none of my business and had nothing to do with that the. Guy say that people been waiting since April to get their refund but they just learned 2 weeks prior that account was being fraudulent so why would they just didn't leave my transmission and just take off core charge knowing that they was having problems I need my money I did what they asked and now it's like they just saying the *** with my money.

My 325 core refund before Friday if not I'm filing lawsuit

You will receive your refund within our 4-6 week window.

purchased engine , better warranty ,engine did not even make it to 500 miles , had to pay another 2,000 for labor to get my truck back,lied about war.
talked to miss *** owners daughter, purchased long block engine for about 2,500, she said they are having a promotion on a better warranty, some thing happens to the motor they will replace it no questions asked , never talked about labor charges, real good sales pitch. so I bought it, I think I purchased in may 2018, the shop invoice created 5/2/2018, where I had the work done. engine light came on not even 500 miles on motor. took it to the shop, 70 pounds in number 7 cylinder.one rep wanted them to see if they could fix it in the shop.I said no. miss *** told me they would replace no problem.then he told me I only get 55 dollars an hour for labor labor in cailifornia goes from 75 and up I paided 100 dollars an hour. what they are saying the consumer has to pay for there mistakes ,Now the new motor only has 600 miles and is starting to idle ruff, I can not believe they are still in business.they never called me back,the manager was very rude on the phone. Claim numberXXX-XXX, invoice numberXXXXX, other rep john davis, engine was installed buy performance specialites 845 grand ave.spring valley ca. XXXXX paid with debit card

what I would really like is a full refund. for motor , and two installs ,i read other complaints one guy had four motors in two years same story as mine, or my money for the second install.

This is a complaint which we have already addressed, and we believed to be closed. The customer is complaining about his warranty, which is another company. The case number and representative he is mentioning is not part of Powertrain Direct, that person is part of the warranty company. This complaint needs to be resolved with the appropriate warranty company.

since I've first spoke to sam regarding my engine,he has been nothing but helpful with great customer service.. I highly recommend him!

was very helpful on helping me with my new motor she answered all my questions I had bout it I was nervous for buying a new motor online bc ive never did that before and she gave me my info that I needed to track my shipment and when it shipped out I got it in 1 day from Texas to Oklahoma took me 3 days to put it in my 2004 dodge Durango and now as of today on 07/02/2018 my truck drives beautifully its so quiet that I can barely fill it running it runs like brand new when I first bought it

Derik j was more than helpful this is my first modern phone n he walked me through the entire process n I got the upgrade n motor that I was wanting im a vet with issues n im hard too even talk to derik was patient n friendly even after 6 r 8 follow up calls what derik doesn't know is my son n I haven't spoken n a year r so n now ill see him tomorro he wants to help build the truck together with tears n my eyes im beyond greatfull thats far n above 5 star n ill be buying the rest of the drivetrain with y'all cause of derik thanks derik n God bless
