bought jeep motor from Powertrain December 2018. Powertrain offered a Core rebate of $600. since all delays I was told I would get $800 never got !
my confirmation number with Powertrain is XXXXX, bought a jeep motor from powertrain back in Dec 2018 had it delivered and installed. I was told at time of purchase I would get a $600.00 core rebate when core was returned and check would take about 6 weeks.
I have made many attempts to find out when my rebate would come, because of so long delay they said I would get $800.00 core rebate back. I call every day and get no response, I send emails and get no response! They are no good at there follow up and customer service after you make a purchase from them. I want my core rebate

Purchase of a transmission. they could not provide. they pomised refund twice. check is in the mail. still waiting purchase was made in 11/2018
I made purchase of transmission in 11/2018 from sales rep. ***. Sent payment of $1831.00 via debit card of my fathers (jeffrey ***).They told me it would be a 4 week build, said ok. time went by and they told me they could not produce transmission because it was dicontinued. they told me they would refund money by check in the mail. Did'nt receive check, called and they told me they sopped payment because I did'nt receive it. I asked who called and said I did'nt receive to stop payment, and they back peddled with well you did'nt cash it . So they told me I would have to wait till next month for another check to go out. Still no check, and can not get through to any customer service or corp. headquarters.

I want my money I was promised, because I have already gone to the *** Dealership and purchased the remanufactured transmission that they could not provide me with.

I have called several times to get my core deposit back. They keep giving me a different date. The last daNow they will not return my calls or emails.
Order*** $3096.71 total bill.
Promised to receive a check on March 5,2019 in the
amount of $550. Have yet to receive it.

If there was a zero star, I would have chose that option! This company is a bunch of thieves! Paid for an engine, cancelled my order, and never received my refund! Called the company MANY, MANY times only to get lied to over and over again! This company is a scam and if you spend your money here, you will get ripped off! The company had to do nothing, but kept my $3000...not talking a small amount of money either! Called since November for my check that has been in the mail 3 times and never once showed up in my mailbox. How can one company employ so many liars! Every person I spoke to and there were multiple people, would just continue to tell lies! Unbelievable! I am NOT done with them! I will do whatever I need to get my money back!

They refuse to refund the core charge for an engine I sent them. They charged me $510.00 for a core charge, but wont refund it.
I bought an engine from them. They charged me an extra $510.00 as a core charge to be returned to me after they received my engine. I sent it back early November 2018. Since then I called them multiple times. They transfer me to a voice mail or promise me somebody will call me back to resolve it, but they don't follow through nor have an intention of following through. Stealing money from a customer is NOT a good business practice.

I want what was promised to me. THe core charge simply means they agreed to purchase my engine from me for $510.00. I sent them the engine, but they refuse to send me the money. They can get away with this because I had to pay the additional $510.00 to them when I purchased my engine so the money is a refund when they get the engine from me, however they refuse to refund it and refuse to contack me about it at all. This type of predatory business should be shutdown. I noticed multiple similar complaints from other customers.

This core was past the allotted 45 days that the customer confirmed on their invoice for this particular item. The customer placed the order on 9/11/2018 and did not return the core until 11/14/2018. The terms and conditions clearly state "You are responsible to have your core back at the correct facility within 45 days in order to receive your core return deposit." Powertrain Direct thanks you for your business, we wish you were within the time frame of your terms and conditions specified to help you out with this situation.

said company received a refund ($450.00) on January 25, 2019 for the prompt return of my core engine. They are not returning my calls or the money.

Core engine refund that that was suppose to be issued on or before 02/15/2019.
I ordered a 2004 F150 Engine from Powertrain Direct in Sept 2018, as agreed and as it's stated on their website that I would get a core refund of $450.00 once they recieve my engine back. It has been well over 13 weeks and I still haven't recieved my refund back into my Discover Card or a company check. I have spoken with Hanna and she advised me that her accounting department was going to issue a refund on or before 02/15/2019. Till this date I'm yet to hear from them or see any type of refund from them as promised.

Core return refund..... I returned a core exchange engine to powertrain direct on 6/25/18. They are to refund me $450.00 for the core. Every time I call Im told the manager is IN A MEETING OR OUT FOR LUNCH,I'VE BEEN ALSO TOLD the check is in the mail and should be here in a few weeks, or I leave a voice mail for a return call that I never get.

We have not gotten our 450.00 back from our core.
Bought engine on 09-25-2018 for 3,250.00 plus 450.00 for the core totaling 3,700.00. Was to get the 450.00 core price back 6 to 8 weeks after we sent our old engine back. We sent engine back October 30th. Called week before Christmas and *** said they would get it in the mail that week.We called several times left messages and no return calls. I called and finally got Josh. Josh said they would send it out on January 25th. We got nothing so I called Feb.1st.and Josh said something happened and they will send it Feb. 1st. That check # was *** Called back on Feb 8th and Josh said he didnt know what happened and would check on it. Josh put me on hold and came back and said there was a mix up and it was sent on Feb 6th instead. Josh promised it was sent because he did it himself. This check *** We got nothing so I called on Feb.18th. I talked to Josh and said I wanted a check sent priority or certified mail so we can track it. Josh said ok he would work on it that day and get it sent, Josh said he was tired of all this he said she said stuff. I told him I have been waiting patiently but it has been too long now and I am tired of being lied to. I just want our check. So this check# is *** I called back the next day to get information on the tracking of the check and Josh said he could not send it that way. Josh said he would send it that day which was Feb.19th. This check# is *** I called Feb.25th and asked to talk to someone other than Josh and they still sent me to Josh. I said we still dont have a check . Josh said he could not do anything because it takes a week to go thru the mail. He said we should have it any day. Josh said to give it till March 5th. I asked to talk to Josh boss and Josh said he was a busy man and did not have time to talk to me. Josh would not let me talk to anyone else to clear up this mess. I have still not gotten our check. This is March 1st. We have been lied to and strung along for over two months. I am sure we will not have our check by March 5th. Our confirmation # is XXXXX which is what we needed to have to get our core back.

We would like to have our 450.00 . this is from the core from the engine we sent them Oct. 30th. we spent a lot of money for the engine and give them an engine back so we could get the core price back. They are making money on us. They need to stand behind what they say and stop telling lies.

I purchased an a rebuilt engine from this company on 11/28/18 for $2,950 with a core charge of $450 I have still not got my core $ back as of 3/2/19
purchased a 5.4 engine for 2950 for a 2008 Lincoln Navigator with a core charge of 450 confirmation #XXXXX. it was told to me I would get my core charge of 450 back with in 30 days. I have called and been told staff is out to lunch,just left for the day(that was at 10am Texas time),in a meeting,not at work today and just left on hold only to be hung up on. after calling every day for almost two weeks I finally got the (core return department) I spoke with Josh @ext 314 and was told my check was mailed out on 2-8-19. after waiting two more weeks for the (check in the mail) and not getting it, I went through the process of calling again and getting the runaround again only to speak to Josh @ext 314 again for him to tell me the check must have got lost in the mail? after going over all of my info to be sure it was correct (and of course it was) I was told he would stop payment on the 1st check and issue another check. I agreed to do that as long as he would overnight this so called 2nd check stating that I had waited long enough for my core return. he told me he didnt have the power to do this and he would transfer me to his supervisor also stating that this person was not in and id have to leave a voice mail. I relucktantly agreed. I left my message stating my unhappyness and hung up. so here we are more than 3 months after my original purchase and I still have not recieved my 450 core check or even a call or email telling me there was a delay or something. also that 1st 450 check that got lost in the mail also has never arrived. there is some shady stuff going on with this business and it needs to stop!

Still waiting on core rebate that company supposedly was being sent out the week of February 18th almost a month and still no check. Company will not return calls or emails. Outside of that transaction had been pretty uneventful. Would not recommend since they have not been truthful.

A $500 core fee has not been refunded after 6 months. powertrain no longer answers phone calls and will not return calls
I purchased a motor from derek at powertrain direct in august and had the dealership replace the motors and there was a third party that collected the original motor. a month later, powertrain confirmed that they received my original motor and should have began processing my core fee refund of $500. several months later I still did not receive my core fee. in january I contacted powertrain again and was informed that they are under new ownership and management and would write a check to me and send it in the mail by february 4. several weeks later, I still did not receive anything in the mail and called back. they told me that the check was not made and they did not know why. I was told by josh in their customer service department that he would talk to his supervisor and get this handled. I still havent received anything and now they will not answer or return phone calls as they have caller id and recognize my name and number. I called from another number several times and low and behold, they answer they phone immediately every time so I know that they're not busy enough to answer my calls from my phone. I am beginning to wonder if I should get legal help. I am not a company entity and can not just let $500 of my money sit in someone else's pocket. I have a baby on the way and I could find it really helpful to have my $500 back

Complete junk. Would NOT stand behind anything. 40 miles and the engine came apart.

Product was misrepresented. Business refuses to resolve situation without more money out of my pocket.
I spoke with Derek Jones at Powertrain Direct about a new transmission, being sold as "drop-in ready" with a 3 year/75k mile warranty. Upon arrival to the shop, an attachment in the package states that the oil coolers need to be replaced for the warranty to be valid, negating any form of the part being "drop-in ready." I contacted Derek at Powertrain Direct to get clarification, and he claimed he must have gotten it mixed up with another transmission. Speaking with the manufacturer of the transmission (Moveras), replacing the coolers is a requirement for ALL of their transmissions. Each call to Powertrain Direct has resulted in being told I will have to spend more money than what was agreed to to maintain a valid warranty, and that there was nothing they were going to do to fix the situation. Further attempts to resolve the dispute have ended in unanswered phone calls and emails, as well as being hung up on once I did get through. Now I'm out over $1,700 with an unreliable transmission, putting both my safety and the safety of those on the road around me at risk.

Desired Outcome

I would like to see either the warranty upheld anyway, or for Powertrain Direct to provide the coolers and the labor to install them at no charge due to the gross misrepresentation of their product and services.

I don't "feel" like the product was misrepresented to me, it WAS misrepresented as needing no additional parts or labor beyond installation. Also, I would hardly call not answering phone calls or emails for days at a time or hanging up on a customer "open communication." I can only hope your claim that the transmission is reliable to be the only truth I've heard.

like we said we were willing to remedy the situation because you felt like the product was misrepresented. We have honestly never had any other issues with customers needing to replace this part. Replacing your trans cooler is necessary to make sure your remanufactured transmission lasts as long as you want it to.

There is no proposed resolution in this response. Further, consider training your sales staff better. In the phone tag run around, one of your team forwarded me to Moveras, the manufacturer of the transmission, who claims that ALL of their transmissions require the change. The 'mix-up' on the part of Mr. Jones is hogwash.

Powertrain Direct has not refunded the cost of the repairs on the 4.0 v6 motor that I purchased and installed on my 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. The refund I am owed is slightly over $100.00 and they will not pay. My warranty has not expired as of this day, February 12, 2019

This person is not our customer. Powertrain Direct back in 2016 indicated on the invoice was owned by somebody else, Ricco Ramacci. The previous owner took his books with him, he currently owns Fraser Engines and Transmissions out of Michigan. The phone number to their business is (XXX) XXX-XXXX the owners name is *** The current ownership cannot help this person since he is not our customer. This is not a complaint with our company.
