Protect America has received the rejected offer submitted by Ms. [redacted]. On the first sales call, the sales representative recommended that she protect the home since it was in her possession but he insisted that it was entirely up to her to make that decision. On the second sales call, she accepted the offer and the sales person was upfront with the terms and conditions of the contract including when the payment begins. He stated that the payment starts immediately but we will be able to apply a credit for the month and at most two months for not using the system. He did make a note on the account that they were doing renovations to the house on the call. Ms. [redacted] understood that.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I was not made aware that I had to cancel 30 days prior.  My contract was up July 13.  I canceled July 5th.  I made good on our 3 year contract, never was late and I fulfilled my end.   I could not afford, nor did I want the service, and I did not owe protect American anything, so it was time to go.  Protect america came up with another way to get more money out of me before I was let go.  My account was debited August 1st for no reason at it.  I do not used the service, I told the company not to debit me, but they did.   They were paid for nothing.

Unfortunately, we are unable to reach an amicable resolution. We provided a copy of our smoke addendum to the customer which clarifies that having a smoke detector on every floor of their house is a recommendation from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), not a requirement. We asked that the customer sign the addendum per our protocol so we have documentation they have been informed of NFPA's recommendations.

Protect America, Inc. has received the complaint filed by Ms. [redacted]. In reviewing her account we’ve found that Ms. [redacted] has been a valued customer of PAI beginning 10/7/2013. With relocating the alarm system to her new home, Ms. [redacted] was familiar with installing her equipment. After installing the...

equipment Ms. [redacted] called for assistance with programming of the equipment. After completing a system test with Ms. [redacted] on 9/2/2015 we found that sensors that were previously set as a delay in her previous home had been placed on windows in her new home. This has since been set to no delay and the window sensors will sound immediately. Additionally, please be advised that if the mobile app reads offline does not mean the alarm system is not functioning. Per Ms. [redacted] agreement we will replace equipment that is not functioning properly. We have attempted to contact Ms. [redacted] to address her concerns. At this time we ask that Ms. [redacted] contact our office for a possible resolution.

Protect America has received the rejected offer submitted by Ms. [redacted].  We received her 30 day written request and processed cancellation of the account accordingly. We reached out to her on 8/10/2016 and were able to resolve her concerns. The email that was sent to her was a confirmation of the cancellation process. We ask that she allows Protect America to assist with any further concerns.
