Protect America has received the rejected offer submitted by Ms. [redacted]. We have reviewed the account in detail and, we determined that she was aware of the terms and conditions of our cancellation guidelines provided to her during the initial sales call. Ms. [redacted] stopped making payments on her account in the month of September of 2011. We tried several times to contact her over the course of the year with regards to the outstanding balance due on the account but, were unable to establish contact. We left several voicemails urging her to contact us back. The account was eventually turned over to a 3rd party collections agency. We ask that she contacts [redacted] at: [redacted] for further information.

I am rejecting this response because:According to the business statement, it was NOT billed on the 1st of the month.  Please have their accounting department review the statement again and look at the billing dates.  This has been stated several times and I want this account closed/ended without any penalties or charges, since they did not deliver as promised.  In addition, the contract was never sent to me in 7 days and I ONLY received a certificate of the start of service.  All information stated by the business is incorrect and false.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I spoke with Protect America and was told that I would not be given a refund and my account would once again be billed. My phone call was returned after three weeks and I was told I have to submit a request to terminate services but because it was not within 30 days of the next billing cycle they would be taking an additional $49.99. I was unable to cancel my account when the company did not return my calls and now I do not believe I should be required pay additional money because they did not return my call for three weeks.

I have had multiple extended warranties on vehicles I have purchased in the past. I have always received a refund if car was sold or traded prior to mileage limit on the warranty. I followed directions as provided by ASC to obtain my refund. The vehicle I traded I still lacked 30,000 plus miles before warranty expired. After 2 months and no call or refund check, I called ASC. I was told because I had a claim that they had paid $1300 dollars to repair they deducted that from my refund thus I was not due any monies. I have never ever experienced a cost they incurred as a insurance company being deducted from my refund. I question this being an ethical practice by an insurance company in which a large premium was paid!

I am rejecting this response because:Protect America has never contacted me with payment options for a service I never used but unfortunately neglected to cancel within their allowable timeframe due to my preoccupation with my wife's illness and eventual death.   I am done with this horrible company and will not deal with their collection agency.

We reached out to her to collect payment plus offer options to her at no avail.  On April 2014, she called us and advised us of a specific financial reason of why she could not make the payments. We asked her if she had any other issues related to the alarm system apart from payment issues, she stated no. She stated that she has not been able to pay for the alarm system and other stuff. We provided various options on how to assist her with regards to the account. We provided the balance due and gave her breakdown of her payment history. We advised her that the account was in danger of being turned over to a 3rd party collections agency. She understood. The account was eventually turned over to a 3rd party collections agency. I am rejecting this response because:      I ask that a manager call me the last time I talked to them. No one called or even left a message . That's how important I feel I am to them.  They Just want they money in my pocket.       Truth of the matter is, I do not trust their system after all this hassle.  I have got a failure right now, that they have reset several times.  They have just plain lost my trust in a system to protect my home.  That's the bottom line.  Replace a sensor or sensor's my cure the problem today, like it been doing and come back again.  That's the faith in the system I've lost.       Still want the contract cancelled and no harm to my credit report.
Regards,
