I decline to accept the response.  Please see attached.  In sum, there is a shortfall of $511.50 that I am still owed, as follows: 1) the real bids I used to win each of the 15 $50 gift cards that were taken away @ $.50 per bid and an average of 75 real bids used to win each card (15 x $37.50), plus 2) $44 in bids that remain frozen in my second account.  Credit for the $95 you did refund me, leaves $511.50.I opened a second account to hide that I was female - liz9249 vs. roomba79 - because male bidders are more aggressive to female bidders.  I did not intentionally violate any terms and conditions for collusive or fraudulent reasons.  I didn't chat on the phone with [redacted] because documentation is critical.  I'm an attorney, I should know.I will settle this matter for $511.50.  I will not seek the value of the gift cards taken away (15 cards x $50 per card, or $750), as an act of good faith.Thanks,[redacted]

Our customers are given the option to enter their credit card information and purchase a bid pack upon registering with our site. Registration itself however, is always free for our users. We would like to point out that it is impossible for our company to charge a customer's credit card without their permission. The purchase price of the starter bid package is listed three different times on our billing page to make sure the customer is aware of the purchase being made. Upon signing up for a membership on our site you were asked to read our 'Terms and Conditions' and to check a box acknowledging that you read and understood this article. These terms and conditions clearly state how this site works. In addition, our business model as well as the ins and outs of the website, are easily found in both the 'Help' section and in 'QuiBids 101'. Each bid costs just $0.60. Our most popular bid packages are available by selecting the Buy Bids tab on the main menu bar. These bids are pre-paid and placed in your Bids Account. Each time you place a bid, your Bids Account is deducted one bid. Once a bid is placed the auction price will go up in increments of 1,2,5,10,15, or 20 cents. . A maximum of 20 seconds is also added to the timer every time someone bids. This gives enough time for someone else to make the decision to bid if they're interested. This is similar to the "Going once...Going twice...SOLD!" approach of traditional auctions. If you are the top bidder when the timer reaches zero, you win. You will then pay the ending auction price as well as the cost of shipping. If you do not win, you lose your bids that have been placed; however, we offer a "Buy it Now" feature on all auctions. When you use our "Buy it Now" feature, we subtract the cash value of the bids you've placed (excluding voucher bids) from the value price of the item, and you only have to pay the difference. Let's say you spend 30 bids trying to win a $30 valued product, but you don't win. Your 30 bids are worth $18 (30 x $0.60), so if you choose to use the "Buy It Now', you would pay $12 plus shipping for the product. *Please note that this offer applies to real bids only, and that voucher bids to do not apply to the 'Buy It Now' option. All you have to do is look online and you can see how untrue this response from Quibids is. If it was truly made clear that customers were going to be charged for 'buying a bid package' then there wouldn't be so many complaints by outraged customers. They make their money by conning people. I would think that they would be more concerned with helping satisfy customers than cheating them out of money. I have not had decent customer service in any of my interactions with Quibids and for this business to essentially call me a liar and say that I knew I was paying for something when I did not is not only stupid but it is wrong. If it was so easy and so up front and so prominently stated that money would be taken from people there would not be this many complaints from users. This company is thieving, dishonest and fraudulent. Prove to me that I was aware that I was paying money for a 'bid package'. You spew garbage at honest people that are taken advantage of by your con and make no attempt to rectify the situation in any way, simply go on insisting that the customers are wrong. How many hundreds of customers have to be 'wrong' before this sorry excuse for a company is made to stop what they are doing? It was absolutely, 100% NOT clearly stated that they would be charging me for anything. The sign-up page goes from inputting personal information on one screen to inputting a credit card on the next and nowhere does it state clearly that the credit card information is not for FUTURE purchases, as I assumed it was, but for something you must buy BEFORE you even enter a single auction. BECAUSE WHY WOULD YOU HAVE TO PAY WHEN YOU HAVENT EVEN PURCHASED ANYTHING? The fact that I have even had to go this far and get such a runaround and hassle from this business for a simple incident is disgusting. If it was that clearly stated then I would have seen it.

Unfortunately we are unable to issue a refund for this transaction due to the transaction dispute being placed with American Express. Once a dispute is processed the funds are put on hold until the credit card company is able to resolve the issue.
