Quirk Cars, Inc. Reviews (129)

We reviewed what the customer and what [redacted] said happened to the vehicle and determined that what had failed on the vehicle had nothing to do with the repairs that were completed at our facility.  As a courtesy to the customer, we sent parts to the [redacted] facility in NY that would help repair the vehicle.

Money was returned back to the customer and has been resolved.

this is not anywhere close to accurate. The advertised price of wheel upgrade could not be met said the dealership so I reached out to the manufacturer for more information as to why. Once the issue had been explained I arrive to take delivery of my truck. Only to find out it was damaged and in an accident. Keep in mind this truck has never left the deal ships lot. I was pushed into driving it home as I was left stranded as they already swapped my registration over to this truck. It was a Saturday so they told me to bring it back on Tuesday. I documented the damage with the salesman before I stepped foot into the vehicle. I then drove it home and directly back to the dealer on Tuesday. I drove it nowhere else. The service department was suppose to be taking care of everything so I could have the truck Tuesday night. When I arrived Tuesday night to pick up my brand new truck I was extremely disappointed to find it covered in grease, a damaged bumper and a damaged fender needing extensive paint work. I refused to take the vehicle once again and left it in their possession. Wednesday morning I was in contact with the service department. They apologized taking all responsibility admitting it was their technician who did all of the damage and it was terribly inexcusable. The general manager said to me "it's just a scratch" "it's only a truck get over it" "your only trying to get things for free". I really can't believe the General Mamager of such a popular car dealership could talk like this to a customer. Especially where all of the issues I'm having were due to 100% neglible actions on behalf of the dealership that they fully admitted to me.  I have not been pleased with this dealer since the second I signed the dotted line. The dealership got their money and has not cared about me as a customer following that moment. They offered me to repair the vehicle for the 3rd time but never offered to supply me with a rental car, offer me an extended warranty on the work they repaired or to compensate me for all I've been thrue. I'm in no way satisfied with this dealership and they act as if nobody can hold them accountable for anything because of their high level of financial backing.

[redacted] sympathizes with Ms. [redacted]'s situation.  Right now it is difficult to estimate what the cost of repair may be which is why [redacted] mentioned abandonment of vehicle.  Is Ms. [redacted] willing to invest in the vehicle repair which may be in excess of $1000.00?

The service manager listened to the radio with the customer and the radio was performing as it was designed to perform. [redacted] is a an experienced service manager and also a Master certified technition with over 20 years in the auto repair trade. [redacted] informed us that he never told the...

customer that we would not work on his truck, he only told him that the radio was working as designed and there was nothing to repair. he also told the customer that if he didnt feel comfortable with that prognosis that he should seek a second opinion from another dealer, maybe the one he bought the car from. [redacted] was prepairing papper work to repair a bulb that was out and the customer lost control of his temper and started cursing and swearing then grabed the keys to his truck and left before we could repair his bulb. it was the customer that would not allow us to perform the work needed to his truck, we never refused to take him in, we love to earn peoples buisness regardless of where they purchased there vehical. We would welcome this customer back if he would like to come in for any repair or service that he might need now or in the future. Thank youQuirk managment

When [redacted] ordered his truck, he did request to have a center console.  When the truck was delivered here from General Motors, it did not have the center console.  Mr. [redacted] and Quirk [redacted] both agreed that there was no center console so the price for the truck was lowered...

accordingly.  Mr. [redacted] has a choice of whether or not he wanted to pursue with the transaction or cancel it.  We, at Quirk [redacted], informed Mr. [redacted] that if he wants to accept this truck that we can offer him a few accessories that totaled about $350 to keep him satisfied.  Mr. [redacted] had a choice to cancel it before accepting delivery and he did not pay extra for an option he did not receive.  Mr. [redacted] called here stating that he wants camper mirros installed which will not work properly if installed on this truck.

In regards on Mr. [redacted] concerns and complain about his vehicle.all of such was  because of safety recall which was issued by manufacturer, which Quirk [redacted] has complied with the manufacturer standard protocol to performed repairs.Quirk [redacted] has 0 obligation of accepting Mr. [redacted] demand.

Quirk Subaru apologizes for any inconvenience that Mr. [redacted] experienced.  Unfortunately, the communication between Mr. [redacted] and Quirk Subaru was not satisfactory to either party.

We have contacted the consumer and resolved issues from prior repair.

1. Please refer to TSB# [redacted] for further information about a timing chain recall that you may have not found on the NTSB website. Again, this recall does not affect the condition your vehicle experienced. This information is provided to you as a rebuttal to your original statement "the owner had work done on the engine on two (2) separate occasions".2. Recommended oil change service intervals for your 2012 [redacted] Juke is every 3 months or 3,750 miles (see page 15 of your Maintenance Guide or https://owners.[redacted]usa.com/nowners/navigation/manualsGuide . An oil change was performed by Quirk [redacted] prior to you purchasing the vehicle on 05/22/14 with 29,590 miles. The following information was provided from your maintenance reciepts:- 11/13/14 w/ 36,732 miles (driven 7142 miles)- 03/20/15 w/ 42,104 miles (driven 5372 miles)- 08/16/15 w/ 48,203 miles (driven 6099 miles)- 02/09/16 w/ 53,522 miles (driven 5324 miles)- All oil change services were performed beyond the recommended intervals by time and miles.3. All oil change receipts, with the exception of one [redacted] invoice, lack the quantity of oil installed into the engine.4. I am awaiting the records from [redacted] Customer Assistance for further information on their decision to decline this repair under warranty. I am also inquiring more information on how the vehicle failed*Please describe happened?*How fast was the vehicle traveling?*Was this gradual issue, or was the vehicle operating normally, and instantly started to smoke?*Any warning light indicators before or after the failure occurred?*Any noises or smells before or after the failure occurred?*Are there any pictures of the failures and sludge to support the information on the invoice?*Is the old part available for inspection?

We have reviewed the transaction with management, everything checked out, customer can feel free to pay us a visit to go over the numbers again and explain anything he needs.

I am not sure what else we can add to our initial response.  We do our best to try to obtain financing for our customers.  Unfortunately, when the bank does not approve the customer, the inquiry goes against their credit rating.  We did have Mr. [redacted]'s permission to try to obtain financing.  It is unfortunate that we could not get him financed.

To whom it may concern,  We are very sorry for the inconvenience. This person will be removed from our calling/mailing list immediately. Thank you.

The customer leased a 2015 Nissan Sentra in March of 2016. This was a 3 year, 36,000 mile lease. The customer returned in April 2017, stated the mileage accumulated quickly due to it being used for business ([redacted]). Since leasing has mileage limits, the customer has opted to finance the vehicle to own. Because of the customer’s success with [redacted], the customer also opted at this time to upgrade to a higher model with more options. Without any additional down payment, the payments increased from $210.00 per month, to $569 per month. The customer returned in the summer of 2017 to surrender the vehicle. We advised the customer that you can not just surrender the vehicle to the dealership. Other options the customer had was to trade in the vehicle, which would require money down, or sell the vehicle. Neither option was chosen by the customer, and the customer proceeded to abandon the vehicle at 600 Southern Artery, Quincy, Ma 02169The customer reached out to us in October and December of 2017 seeking financing for a new vehicle.Quirk Nissan is unaware if the customer contacted his financial institution where his finance agreement is to inform them of the voluntary surrender. Review:    Customer came into the dealership and leased a 2015 Nissan Sentra in March 2016    Customer stated because the vehicle is used for [redacted], the mileage accumulated quickly (lease limit is 36,000 miles)    April 2017 customer returned requesting to upgrade their vehicle to a Nissan Rogue due to increased success with [redacted]    Customer went from a 3 year lease to a 6 year purchase without any additional down payments    Payments increased from $210 per month to $569 per month    Customer surrendered the vehicle at the dealership summer of 2017    Customer did not seek other alternatives such as trading in the vehicle with additional money down, or selling the vehicle.
