Review: On the website for this product, it states that you can claim your bottle and just pay for shipping and handling. After I claimed my bottle, I was charged an additional $87.63 about 2 weeks later.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the $87.63.

The customer placed the order on 01/11. This is when they paid the initial $4.95 for shipping and handling and this began the trial period to sample from the initial 30 day supply they were sent. Since there was no notification of a request for cancellation and/or a returned product during the allotted time, the customer was automatically billed for the 30 day supply on 01/26 as explained in the terms and conditions which they agreed to. The consumer contacted Ripped Muscle X on 02/13 with a bank representative on the line with a request for cancellation. The account was cancelled immediately as instructed and the customer was sent a cancellation confirmation via email. Based on the nature of the call, the customer service agent offered a partial refund of $21.90 that day. The consumer and bank representative accepted this courtesy credit over the recorded phone line. Once a refund is processed, it takes 3-7 business days for it to be credited back to the customer’s account. We have refunded the remainder of the amount $65.73, due to this complaint, however we stand by our policies and we would like to reiterate that our customers accept the terms and conditions two separate times to process their order. We state the terms and conditions clearly, and send a synopsis card with our contact information, with each order. Terms and conditions are located on all ordering websites, and should be read as they are there for a reason. Please refer to our website, www.rippedmusclex.com or www.rippedmusclex.com/main/index.php. Below is a brief explanation of our terms and conditions:Terms and ConditionsYou will have 10 days from the date you receive your bottle to decide if Ripped Muscle X is right for you. You must pay a shipping and handling fee of $4.95 for us to send you a full 30 day supply of Ripped Muscle X. We ship the product the day after you place the order (orders placed Saturday-Sunday will be shipped the following Monday). If you are unhappy with the product at any time during those 10 days, you must call us at 1-855-204-7725 and cancel your order to avoid being billed for the full cost of the product. If you are satisfied with our product, then do nothing and we will bill you $87.63 for your initial order, and every 30 days thereafter we will send you a new 30 day supply of the product for $87.63. To cancel automatic delivery and billing, please call us at 1-855-204-7725 during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm PST) or email us at [email protected]. Please read our terms and conditions for more details.

Review: Ripped Muscle X is a product that claims to increase muscle mass and lose weight. It doesn't do either and may not even contain the substances stated on the bottle . They send you free samples and charge you $89 a bottle if you don't call and cancel within two weeks.Desired Settlement: That the company stop their scam with it's false promises.

They have refunded my order price of $87.50. They do state their terms and conditions on a click to this page of small print connection and it is buried in mounds of small print as well as the exorbitant price of their product.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Review: I signed up for a 14-day free trial for this company's supplement through an advertisement I saw on ESPN. I was under the impression I would be receiving a 14-day supply of the supplement no strings attached and that the only charge I was to be held liable for was the $4.95 for shipping. I also purchased the trial for the Elite Test 360, and the same situation exists for them. The process for "cancelling the trial" was not clearly stated in the area of the website where you input your information to place the order. You are asked to accept the terms and conditions without them being stated. I did find info regarding this via the internet, and the date I ordered the free trial was 1/11/15, and upon further investigation, I returned the products via UPS on 1/20/15 with a guaranteed delivery date of 1/22/15, which is less than the 14-day trial period, but my card was still charged the $87.63 fee on 1/26/15. I have the UPS tracking #'s available, and when I look to verify delivery, it now states the tracking #'s are invalid. I have tried to contact both companies via phone @ [redacted] (Ripped Muscle X) and left a message to call back but have not received a call back, and [redacted] (Elite Test 360) and have not received a call back. When calling them, nobody ever answers and you must leave a message, or you get disconnected. Again, I returned the products prior to the 14-day trial period ending, so full refund of the funds is expected, and I also expect not to get any additional charges from either company.Desired Settlement: This business is very fraudulent in the way they advertise their products, and should not be able to advertise a FREE trial. Another issue is that they claim you will see results in one to three months, but there is no way to effectively know if the product works within the 14-day trial, so you will automatically get charged for the "free" supply you initially recieve. I expect full refund, and to not be charged any additional fees.

At Ripped Muscle Extreme, every customer is given the right to try their first 30 day supply without charge for the first 14 days. If the customer keeps their 30 day supply after the 14 days, they are automatically billed for their product on the 15th day and then automatically shipped and billed a product every 30 days thereafter. The customer has the ability to cancel at any time by calling customer service or emailing [email protected]. He provided the tracking number showing the item was being returned within the trial period and we immediately issued the full refund of $87.63. The consumer would have received an e-mail confirmation of the cancellation and refund. The refund will take three to seven business days to credit back.

Review: I ordered the company's 14 day trial of a supplement that was supposed to be free for 14 days. I ordered the product on April 14, 2014 at 11:44pm. On April 29th around 12:00pm, before the 11:44pm time period (making it only 13 full days, not 14, I was charged the $87.63 for not having canceled my subscription. I 100% planned on calling today, the 29th of April, because I was traveling from Houston to Dallas, thus having time to speak on the phone, that is when I checked my bank account and noticed the charge. The company did not provide me with a full 14 day trial before charging my bank account.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to refund the $87.63 to my bank account and to cancel my subscription.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I was charged, before my full 14 day trial was completed. I ordered the product on 4/14/14 at 11:44pm and was charged on 4/29/14 before 11:44pm. No where, on the product description does it say that you can submit by email a cancelation request. It only list a phone number which it's times to call are during the normal work day, when most americans aren't permitted to make a personal phone call.

Review: I signed up for a 2 week trial with Ripped Muscle X and Elite Test 360.

A week or so later I got a charge for $87+. I called again, placed on hold for 15 minutes then dropped, called back and left a message asking to cancel and refund. NOT!

To my suprise a month later I got another charge for $87+. I called again, placed on hold for 15 minutes then dropped, called back and left a message asking to cancel and refund. NOT!

I have now asked my credit card company to reverse charges and stop payment on any future charges.

Review: On their web site they advertise a free trial just pay postage then in the pamlet they sent with the product they say, if I don't like the product I got to pay to send it back, so I ask them what is free about their if I got to pay postage twice and loss out twice and they loss nothing, So I've ask them three or four time to send me a paid postage package and I send them their product back. They say if I don't like their product and do not return the remainder they are going to charge my card 89.89 anyway. This is false advertisement if the trial is not free ask they advertised on their web site. They are also with a company call Elite test 360 which I'm having this same problem with. They will not send a paid postage to receive their product back. Thank youDesired Settlement: They send me a paid postage package and not charge my card for their product which I do not want. I do not want their product and I do not want to do any business with this company. I'm on SSA and I'm try of going back and forward with these people.

Review: On 1/6/16, I received an unsolicted call from a representativre from Ripped Muscle concerning a product I purchased (from a seperate company Elite Test 360). I advised the representative I had no interest in purchasing any additional product but he said over the phone that the supplements were coomplimentary and I just had to pay the $1.99 shipping. During the conversation, there was no mention of any 14 day trial period nor did the representative disclose he was representing a different company (if this was a different compnay how was he aware of my other purchase?). There was no disclosure of any kinfd my information would be shared with a third-party as well.

In their 1/25/16 e-mail to me, the company offered me a 25% rewfund. I am looking for a complete refund due to the purposeful deception.Desired Settlement: As soon as possible.

Review: I signed up to start my free trial on March 1, 2015. I received my packages on March 13, 2015. I was charged $87.63 and $89.00 plus a $0.88 fee for a foreign transaction two days after I received the packages. I received two packages every month from Ripped Muscle X and Elite Test 360. Their policy says that you have to return the packages within 30 days if you're not satisfied. I returned every package I received within the time specified except the not so free trial package. In May and June I received all packages back. I didn't sign for them and rejected the packages. I called the 800 number for the company told a gal to cancel my order and to stop sending me packages. To date I have received 10 packages or more and have returned them all. I contacted my credit card agency in July 2015 and they suspended my account and I ended up having to go through a 6 month process, I finally sent an email and stopped receiving the packages in August 2015. I now have a $1000.00 credit card bill and none of the product because I again returned all packages to the company UNOPENED for the 4th or 5th time during the months of October and November 2015. The credit card company says that since I didn't file a complaint with the bank within the first 60 days that I have this problem, I have to pay for the items which I don't have. Ripped Muscle X and Elite Test 360 also turned around and sent me a collection notice to pay them another $87.63 and $89.00 respectively for a product that I do not have and I have returned to them yet again 4 months ago. This company stands by their policy to scam consumers. In total Ripped Muscle X has collected $442.55 from me and they have their entire product back and have accepted it. I have the postal receipts showing it.Desired Settlement: I want a $442.55 refund and tell Collect Pros that I am not paying you an additional $87.63 for items I do not have and do not want. I did not include the month of March charge because I didn't return that package. April through August was all returned in the timeframe specified within your company's policy..

The terms and conditions are disclosed directly on the ordering website not only on the bottom of the first page, but also highlighted in a large white box on the second page where the customer inputs their card information, as well as sent out with the product. The consumer placed the order on 03/18/2014. This is when they paid the initial $4.95 and this began the 14 day trial period to sample from the initial 30 day supply. The consumer contacted our company on 03/23/2014 with a request for cancellation. The account was canceled immediately as instructed and they were sent a confirmation email confirming the cancellation. The consumer would have received an e-mail confirmation of the cancellation. As a resolution, we will be refunding the charge of $4.95 and will allow the client to keep the bottle. The refund will take three to seven business days to credit back.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. Just want to state for the record that the excuse that the terms are posted on the website is not valid in this case as the site I ordered from stated none of that.

Review: On 6-02-15 I tried to place an order for Ripped Muscle x on a website, when it was time to check out the order didn't go through (it said there was a problem with their website). About ten minutes latter I received a call from a representative from Ripped Muscle X apologizing for the website not working. The representative asked if I would like to still place the order, I told them no because I was at work and couldn't talk (I also though it was strange that they called me.

I didn't think anything of it till 06-19-15 when I noticed a charge for $47.33, I've have currently called the company 6 times calling for them to refund the money and I also noticed going through my bank statement that they did in fact charge me for the trial product for $1.99, even though they admitted they never sent the product.

I am requesting that they return the money they stole (charged me twice for a product I never received) in the total of $49.32.

Thank you.Desired Settlement: Refund in the total of $49.32

Review: Purchased the trial on 1/14/15 For Ripped Muscle X and Elite Test 360, decided to cancel the product today on 1/22/15, but was told that ripped muscle x and elite test 360 are not affiliated with each other and that I have to call the Elite Test 360 to cancel that trial. The trial for Elite Test 360 was offered me to after I have purchased the trial for ripped muscle x, tricked me into thinking that this offer is only for people that have purchased the trial for ripped muscle x. Customer Service told me that they are not the same company and yet gave me a "customer service" number for Elite Test 360, why would you know their customer service number and have it in hand to give to your callers if you aren't the same company? The trial price and terms are exactly the same to scam consumers. 14 days trial for a product that have a supply for 30 days? Which we are forced to either pay 50% off the $87 for the reminding product, or have us ship it back to them in our expense. Their scam terms of conditions are obviously there to take advantage of of the first recurring fees that we are automatically forced into, and without a email telling we are subscribed into. Please check into this company and its affiliated partner Elite Test 360 as the company is operating in a highly unethical business model. Listing of their trial is highly misleading even using fake sites like "ESPNNEWS" which is not found during searches at all. Articles are misleading consumers into thinking the trials are free to try for 30 days instead, they list their terms in grey tiny wordings at the bottom of pages.Desired Settlement: Either pay for the shipping cost for me to return to you guys which is unopened by the way or stop trying to charge me for the reminder of the bottle.

Based on the conversation with a supervisor, he was authorized to write Return to Sender on the package so he would not be liable for shipping and handling back to the company. As a further courtesy, he is free to keep Ripped Muscle Xtreme for no charge. We have completely closed and notated his account.

Regards,

Review: I agreed to pay the $4.95 shipping for a 14 day trail of Ripped Muscle X. I was then charged $87.63 two weeks later. I am filing this complaint almost 1 month after my credit card was charged. The only way I was able to find a way to contact this company was found on my credit card statement. I did not receive any other correspondence with with any method of contacting this company to cancel the order before the end of the 14 day trial period. Although customer service told me I signed off on the terms and conditions twice and all of this information was in the terms and conditions, what they do not tell you is that you need to copy and print them because you will not and cannot see them again. I received a confirmation email initially which showed my 14 day trial charge of $4.95, this confirmation did not contain anything about who to call with questions or how to cancel if you wanted to. The confirmation did not contain any of the information that is normally associated with a reputable on-line retailer.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my $87.63 and in return I will return the 53 capsules that I have remaining from the trial bottle of Ripped Muscle X.

To whom it may concern:

A coupleo I ordered two products I saw advertised on Yahoo.com and as many products sold or advertised on the Internet they came with a two week free trial. This gives the consumer an opportunity to try the product before actually paying the full price.

Pretty much the same day I got the two products my credit card was charged their monthly service charge of $89.00 for Elite Test 360 and $87.63 for Ripped Muscle. Even though their web page shows that the customer has two weeks to try the product the monthly product charge was taken out immediately. Obviously the customer does not have an opportunity to try the product or return it and only pay shipping and handling charge of $4.95.

When I contacted the two companies I was told that they would cancel any further deliveries but could not return the purchase price. This is a blatant method of taking advantage of consumers by advertising one thing but doing another. I have returned the two products to their respective companies and I am requesting that they return my purchase price(s). I doubt if they will since the whole purpose of their misleading and false advertising is to scam consumers into falsely trying their products and taking their money as soon as they get the products.

I am hoping you will look into how these two businesses are doing business, make them return the $1,000’s or even $100,000’s they’ve stolen from consumers just like myself.

I noticed that their web pages are essentially the same, their outgoing phone messages are the same and their customer service representatives pretty much give the same reasons for not refunding the purchase price. This would suggest to me that this is two companies are acting in partnership to deceive the general population. I’ve listed the two companies below and their respective web pages.

I am also contacting several other state and federal agencies that I hope will look into how these companies are taking advantage of consumers. I believe what they are doing is misleading, fraudulent, false advertising, and illegal. Review: I signed up for a 14-day free trial for this company's supplement through an advertisement I saw on a fitness website. I was under the impression I would be receiving a 14-day supply of the supplement no strings attached and that the only charge I was to be held liable for was the $4.95 for shipping. The process for "cancelling the trial" was not clearly stated in the area of the website where you input your information to place the order. You are asked to accept the terms and conditions without them being stated. It was not until after I realized that there was a charge of $87.63 in my debit account statement that these "terms and conditions" are listed in VERY small print at the bottom of the page and are grayed out so you cannot recognize the statement. They do not give you any kind of reminder that your "trial" is about to expire and then to proceed to charge your debit card without your knowledge. The quality of the actual supplement aside, this is obviously a scam by this company to trick people into giving them their money. I cannot afford to pay for this charge. I have called them about this but will not cooperate or come to an understanding. I offered to return the product unopened and they still do not want to cooperate. I have canceled this product. I’m hoping this can be settled without a letter to the FTC as well.Desired Settlement: I would like my $87.63 charge refunded to my debit account.

I was under the impression I would be receiving a 14-day supply of the supplement no strings attached and that the only charge I was to be held liable for was the $4.95 for shipping. I also purchased the trial for the "Fat Burn X" product, whose office is located in a different city in California but I was unable to find a business listing for them through your website. I have already cancelled my account for both companies, and asked them to refund my money. Review: They are very misleading in your 14 day trial. My trial started the day it was ordered and I received my ordered approximately 5 days later, only leaving me with 9 days to try the product without being billed the full price. When I called them, they informed me that I should have called to let them know when I received the product so they could start the trial from that date. Apparently something your supposed to know.Desired Settlement: A refund should be given to customers who are misled by thinking they actually have a 14 day trial, and the advertising should be more clear for customers to call in when they receive the product and when the trial would start and end.
