Ripped Muscle X Reviews (158)

Review: On or about October 1, 2013 I placed an internet order for Ripped Muscle X supplements. I was charged $4.95 for shipping which I agreed to have charged to my credit card.

On November 25, 2013 I received another shipment of supplements from Ripped Muscle X. I was not expecting anymore of this product to be shipped to me. I looked online at my credit card statement and discovered a charge for $87.63 was made on November 19, 2013. This charge was unexpected and not authorized.

I called a customer service representative right after receiving the package today (November 25, 2013) and the customer service rep told me that I had agreed to continued shipments of supplements when I ordered the trial shipment. This was not my understanding when I placed the order in October.

I requested that any future orders be cancelled when I spoke to customer service. He said that my account was now cancelled. I told the customer service representative that I wanted to return the supplements for a refund. He said that would not be possible, but my account was now cancelled.

I do not want the supplements, they did not work as advertised, and they are useless to meDesired Settlement: I would like to have the $87.63 credited back to my credit card. I will gladly return the product back to Ripped Muscle X, The package that it was delivered in through USPS has not been opened.

Response:

At Ripped Muscle Xtreme every customer is given the right to try their first 30 day supply without charge for the first 14 days. After the 14 day trial period if the customer is unsatisfied with their product, they are to return the remainder postmarked for return within their 14 day trial period and also contact customer service to notify a request for cancellation. If the customer keeps their 30 day supply after the 14 days, they are automatically billed for their product on the 15th day and then automatically shipped and billed a product every 30 days thereafter. The customer has the ability to cancel at anytime by calling customer service or emailing [email protected]. If a customer needs to contact customer service, the phone number is listed on rippedmusclex.com, the product, the pamphlet, and the package the product is shipped in. The terms are disclosed clearly on rippedmusclex.com where the customer would have ordered their product. The customer has to also click "I agree to the terms and conditions" twice before the order is processed. If the customer does not "agree" to the terms, the order will not process. The terms and conditions are disclosed directly on the ordering website not only on the bottom of the first page, but also highlighted in a large white box on the second page where the customer inputs their card information, as well as sent out with the product. Mr. [redacted] placed the order on 10/01/2013. This is when he paid the initial $4.95 and this began his 14 day trial period to sample from his initial 30 day supply. Since there was no notification of a request for cancellation and/or a returned product during his allotted trial period, Mr. [redacted] was automatically billed for his 30 day supply on 10/16/13 as explained to him in the terms and conditions for which he agreed to. His second bottle was automatically shipped and billed out to him 30 days later on 11/15/13. Mr. [redacted] contacted our company on 11/25/13 with a request for cancellation. His account was canceled as instructed and he was sent a confirmation email confirming his cancellation. Based on the information provided we will make an exception and issue a refund of $87.63 from 11/15/2013 for the product he originally requested to return. To verify here are the terms and conditions:

Review: Ripped Muscle X is trying to collect an illegitimate $87.63 debt (via a collection agency called Collect Pros) for a product that I did not agree to purchase and did not receive. They were unable to provide proof upon request that this debt was legitimate. I've researched both companies and discovered they are scamming hundreds of other consumers with this same fraud.Desired Settlement: Cease and desist all collection efforts by Ripped Muscle X and Collect Pros. Remove/cancel this account from all records.

Response:

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused to the customer. The customer's account was closed. A collection notice was mistakenly sent via a third party collections agency. The consumer does not owe Ripped Muscle X any payment for product or services and can disregard the notice. We can assure the customer that this will not show on their credit report. We have taken the necessary steps to make sure this does not occur again. The customer is welcome to contact us directly if they would like any further information.

Review: Complaint on "Ripped Muscle X"

On October 2, 2014 I ordered [redacted] and Ripped Muscle X, both dietary supplement products.

Online I ordered them both for around $[redacted] each and unknowingly that was the shipping cost. This is

the actual terms and conditions I honestly did not read; You must pay a shipping and handling fee of

$[redacted] for us to send you a full30 day supply of Ripped Muscle X. We ship the product the day after

you place your order (except that orders placed Saturday-Sunday will be shipped the following

Monday). You will have 14 days from your original order date to see ifRipped Muscle X is right for

you. If you are unhappy with the product at any time during those 14 days, you must call us at [redacted] and cancel your order to avoid being billed for the full cost of the product. If you are satisfied

with our product. then do nothing-we will bill you $[redacted] for your initial order, and every thirty days

thereafter we will send you a new 30-day supply of our product, and automatically bill you the low price

of$[redacted]. To cancel automatic delivery and billing, call us at [redacted] or email us during normal

business hours: Mon - Fri. Sam - 4pm Pacific Time. Please read our terms and conditions for more

details. First of all I did not read these so when I was charged the actual price of the product I was

extremely upset to see it being charged on two separate occasions on my bank statement, first I was

charged the shipping which I initially thought was the cost for the SAMPLE. After getting that

information cleared it was fault on my end. But the issue I am having is that today 10/20114 I called and

asked to have a refund, which they denied because I had passed the 14 day trial which began on

10/02/2014 my initial order date and my trial ended on 10/15/2014. Yet I did not receive my SAMPLE

until 10/09/2014. So technically they expect me, to use my 14 day supply by 10/15/10. That only gives

me 6 days to try out this 14 day supply. I find it unfair that I do not have enough time to try the sample

that is supposed to last me 14 days and I am ultimately forced to either increase my consumption, which

is risky because I do not know how my body will handle a new product or, keep on buying it to see how

it works for me. I believe I am entitled to a refund because I have only had the product for 11 days. I

would find it understandable to say you have a 14 day trial if I physically got it the day I wanted it, for

example ifl bought it at a store like [redacted] I would like the company to be aware of the contradicting

situation that are putting consumers in because on their website they advertise 14 DAY TRIAL yet you

do not have 14 days to actually try it. If they are going to do that they should decrease the sample size to

5 days to compensate for shipping time. I hope that the Revdex.com can reveal the issue to them and help me

get my full refund of $[redacted].

P.S their advertisement of the low price of$[redacted] is a lie because on [redacted] you can buy the exact

same thing for around $[redacted] which I wish I had looked into first.

Sincerely,Desired Settlement: Refund

Review: We were under the impression we were getting a 14 day supply for shipping charges only. We were sent a 30 day supply and then charged because we didn't see the "fine print". This is the email we were sent: At this time, you have been charged the full retail price of $87.63 for that initial 30-day product supply that you received at the start of your trial period. We have cancelled the account from all other billing and shipping as of today's date. If you have any other questions, feel free to reply to this e-mail, or call customer service. Review: Deceptive advertising. Don't order from this company. They advertise a "free" trial just pay shipping and handling. Review: They offer a few trial offer for shipping cost only, when they send it, they also send another months worth of pills, in the same bottle. I thought it was all the free sample. Then in 10 days they charge your card $87, telling you, you had 10 days to return it, that's it, no refund, too late. I didn't even know I had more than the free sample amount. They tell you it's in their AGREEMENT somewhere. They will cancel future pills but won't refund past ones. Notorious slam scam.Desired Settlement: get my money back and expose these scammers.

Review: This company is such a scam for your money with its deceptive advertising. They advertise a "free" trial you just pay shipping and handling. If you don't return the bottle within 14 days they apparently bill you $87.63. I called the company to complain and said I did not want it, and I do not want to pay the $87.63 I was never aware that I was going to be charged, I want the $87.63 credited back to my card. They said " did you read the fine print" No, I did not see the fine print - when you click on the free trial I filled out the form that appears at the top of the website and did not see any fine print there. The fine print is not near the form you fill out for anyone to see. I just looked back at their website after calling to dispute and apparently under lots of advertisements about their product I now see it listed at the very bottom of the page in small print - no one would ever find that information there. It is total BS, and they are only doing this to scam people into getting their money.Desired Settlement: I want my $87.63 back. I don't care about shipping and handling I paid since I knew I was going to pay that.

Review: Ripped Muscle X advertises a 14-day trial period for their product, but only delivers 10 day trial period. This 14-day trail is documented both on their order and shipping confirmations. Their defence for deceptively advertising a 14 days trail period, but delivering only a 10-day trail period is that the customer needs to click into another window to learn the Ripped Muscle X has deceptively redefined the trial-period for trying the product to include shipping time, thus there is really only 10 days to try the product. Ten days is hardly enough time to verify results and is not a 14-day trial period. Further, they automatically charged for additional product before I had finished the 14 day trial period.Desired Settlement: Refund of any and all charges above the original shipping/handling charges of $4.95 agreed to in the 14-day trial period of the original transaction, which is $87.63

Review: My grandson [redacted] age 16, who resides with me, answered an advertisement on the internet to receive a trial sample of Muscle Building Power product for shipping of $4.95. The web site in the small print states that you are agreeing to be billed $87.63 if you do not return the product within 10 days of receipt of the product. I saw the product and upon reading the fine print discovered his debit card had been charged $87.63 so I called the company multiple times and was automatically put in a hold que every time so I emailed them. I did finally receive a call and was greeted by a very rude individual when I tried to explain that my grandson was 16 years old and we would like to return the unopened product for a refund. I again explained that in my state a16 year old cannot enter into a legal contract and he informed me that regardless of his age he checked the box and there would be no refund because it was beyond the 10 day period. I have cancelled the account but find it very bad business practice to disregard the fact that they were taking money from a minor with no regard of law. I will also be filing a like complaint against a connected company Elite Test 360 located in Del Mar CA because the two products were shipped in the same package and same offer to returned the unopened product for a refund of $89.00 and I received the same results NOTHING but rudeness. The customer rep from Ripped Muscle X denied that the product could be shipped in the same package because they were not connected but the customer rep from Elite Test 360 said they were always shipped together because they were sister companies. Somebody is lying. Thanks for your assistance.Desired Settlement: To receive a refund of $87.63 from Ripped Muscle X and $89.00 from Elite Test 360 upon their receipt of the unopened bottles of their unwanted product.

At Ripped Muscle X, every customer is given the option to try their first 30 day supply without charge for 10 days after receiving their order. During the 10 days, if the customer is not satisfied with their product, they are to contact customer service via phone or email with a notice of cancellation and the product must be postmarked for return within those 10 days. If the customer keeps their 30 day supply after 10 days from the date of delivery, they are automatically billed for the product and then billed and shipped a new 30 day supply every 30 days thereafter. The customer has the ability to cancel at any time by calling customer service or emailing [email protected]. If a customer needs to contact customer service, the phone number is listed on www.rippedmusclex.com, the product, the pamphlet that arrives with their order, and the package the product is shipped in. The terms are disclosed clearly on www.rippedmusclex.com where the customer would have ordered the product. The customer also has to click “I agree to the terms and conditions” twice before the order is processed. If the customer does not click the box to agree with the terms, the order will not process. The terms and conditions are disclosed directly on the ordering website, at the bottom of the first page, and also highlighted in a large white box on the second page where the customer inputs their billing information, as well as sent out with the product. The customer placed the order on 9/19/15. This is when they paid the initial $4.95 for shipping and handling and this began the trial period to sample from the initial 30 day supply they were sent. Since there was no notification of a request for cancellation and/or a returned product during the allotted time, the customer was automatically billed for the 30 day supply on 10/4/15 as explained in the terms and conditions which they agreed to. The consumer contacted Ripped Muscle X on 10/6/15 with a request for cancellation. The account was cancelled immediately as instructed and the customer was sent a cancellation confirmation via email. At this time we have refunded the the amount, $87.63, due to this complaint, however we stand by our policies and we would like to reiterate that our customers accept the terms and conditions two separate times to process their order and must also check a box stating they are 18 years or older. We state the terms and conditions clearly, and send a synopsis card with our contact information, with each order. Terms and conditions are located on all ordering websites, and should be read as they are there for a reason. Please refer to our website, www.rippedmusclex.com or www.rippedmusclex.com/main/index.php. Below is a brief explanation of our terms and conditions:Terms and ConditionsYou will have 10 days from the date you receive your bottle to decide if Ripped Muscle X is right for you. Review: I visited rippedmusclex.com after receiving an email advertisement. I decided to check out the site and tried the "Free Trial" of their product. When I ordered the free trial I received a confirmation email with very vague info on it to include shipping and billing addresses and the last four digits of the credit card used to pay shipping. 14 days later I am getting charged $87 for this "Free Trial" product I received. I called the company who explained this as my fault for not fully reading the Terms and Conditions and that was it. I do agree that I should have read the Terms and Conditions but who in their right mind does that or has time to do that when it is several paragraphs long in -4 font. IF I wasn't aware of these Terms and Conditions when I placed the order at the very least the company needs to make me aware in a confirmation email which they did not. It is very apparent that this company it pulling a Bait and Switch scam. They need to make their Terms and Conditions a little more apparent to their customers, especially after they have your credit card information.Desired Settlement: I feel that I was tricked and lured with this company. I feel they need to change their advertising to reflect their actual motive. Because of this I feel that I should be refunded the money charged to me for this so called "FREE TRIAL".

At Ripped Muscle Xtreme, every customer is given the right to try their first 30 day supply without charge for the first 14 days. Mr. [redacted] contacted our company a few days after being billed and his account was cancelled. The representative also issued him a $44.00 refund on that same day. We do value customer satisfaction so we have issued Mr. [redacted] the remaining $43.63 back to his account.

Review: Ordered their trial 30 day supply for $4.95 shipping and handling. The advertisement clearly states multiple times that I would have 14 days to try the product. If I did not wish to receive more, I needed to call them and cancel more shipments, and also then return the remainder of the 30 day supply. So far so good. In the real world, trying a product for 14 days means exactly that, having it, trying it, taking it, etc. That would be if you were not deliberately trying to mislead and deceive your consumers. Less than 14 days after receiving the bottle, I called them to cancel, as I did not wish to receive any more. Too late. I did not, in fact, get 14 days to try it. I got about 6. What I got was 14 days from the day I hit submit on the order, even though it took over a week for me to get anything to try. VERY misleading, even fraudulent, advertisement. I guess you should sit back for the first week and imagine how it works. You're certainly not "trying it" though.

Since I was 14 days past the order date, they had already charged $87.63 for the next month's supply. They don't send notice of an impending charge, like legitimate companies do. It's clear they exist and advertise to rip people off for that first payment. I tried to resolve this quietly and peacefully, but their business model is obviously to just rip people off as quickly as possible, and then to refuse any sort of compromise or customer service. This is a company that is not to be trusted.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of the $87.63 charge which I feel was not justified.

[redacted] placed an online order on 10/31/14 for the

14-day trial. He paid one charge of $4.95 shipping and handling for a 30 day

supply of Ripped Muscle X. As stated on www.Ripped Muscle X.com, the customer

is given 14 days to trial the product without being charged for the product.

However, if the customer notifies customer service during their 14 day trial

period, they are to return the remainder and then the account is canceled as

well. If the product is kept after the

14 day trial period, they are automatically billed for their bottle the full

retail value of $87.63.

Mr. [redacted] did not contact customer service during his 14

day trial period and was automatically billed for his bottle on 11/15/14. He

contacted customer service on 11/20/14 and spoke to a representative and a

supervisor. He was immediately sent a confirmation email regarding his

cancellation from any future orders of Ripped Muscle X as stated by the terms

and conditions. In this call, he was issued a 50% courtesy credit of $43.82

back onto the card. There was a dispute processed on 12/08/14. As we are fully

invested in customer service, we have issued the remaining balance of $43.81

back onto the card. This is a total credit of $87.63.

The original item is a full 30-day product supply and we do not offer it for free anywhere on our website. We provide the terms and conditions twice on the website before the consumer orders to verify they have read and understood all that they are agreeing to.

Review: I ordered one bottle of ripped muscle X and received it. I canceled my subscription by email to an account ripped muscle X acknowledges having on 27 July but they won't honor that fact and shipped me another bottle of medicine. The consumer would have received an e-mail confirmation of the cancellation and refund. The refund will take three to seven business days to credit back.

Review: I signed up for a free 14 day trial with this company. I received the product 7 days ago and called to cancel the trial this morning. They informed me that they are charging my credit card $89, even though no charges have been made yet and I have cancelled the trial. They claim that since the initial order was placed exactly 14 days ago that that constitutes them charging me $89 that was not authorized. It isn't a 14 day free trial if you have to cancel within 5 days. It is clearly false and misleading advertising and I would like the most recent charge refunded to me.

I appreciate your help and hope that you can stop the false advertising by this company.Desired Settlement: I would like the charge that was put on my credit card today (the day that I cancelled the trial), refunded to my credit card. Thank you for your help.

Review: Please pass this correspondence on to someone who can create change.

I'm writing you this correspondence to express my extreme, extreme disappoint with your business. I haven't even tried your product but I will be selling the bottles I have so I can recoup some of the money I just lost to you.

1st off, your "Free Trial" isn't a free trial. It's a scam. Free is free. Not "Free" unless you don't call. That's shady business.

On Oct. 8th I ordered the "Free Trial" of your products. I received the package of your products on Oct. 14th. 9 days after that on Oct.23rd I was charged $87.33 and $89.31 for your products. So, my 14 day free trial was from when I ordered the product and not from when I start using the product? Essentially, you're charging me for a product I did not even have in my hands. In my business I can't charge for a service yet to be performed. To me, it seems like I wouldn't even know if I liked the product by the time you guys billed me for my "Free Trial". The way I see it, today Oct. 27th would not even be the end of my 2 week trial. Instead, I've been charged nearly $180 for products I haven't even begun to use yet. I feel like I've been stolen from.

Your "Free Trial" purchase states that a customer needs to cancel so they are not charged for the "Free Trial". If they cancel they have to send the product back. I'm sitting here with 2 unopened packages that I can't return for a full refund of my money but you'll gladly accept opened packages from people who don't like your product and not charge people for the bottles. Makes me question what happens to the pills in those open packages. Not only that, your CSR's stated they can refund me 25% of my "Free Trial" purchase. But they also stated that there are deals where I can get the same products for about $28 a bottle. 25% off which still means I'm paying nearly 3 times what your selling them to other customers for.Desired Settlement: Again, ideally I would like to get a full refund but I also would like them to do a better job of clarify what their "Free Trial" actually entails.

Review: I purchased on line, a trial bottle of MuscleRevStreme. It was advertised as $4.95. My bank called withing 24 hours asking if I did indeed agree to this purchase and I told them yes. After reconsidering my expenditure I called the number advertised online to cancel the shipment. It was an automated customer service only. I was not able to speak with a live person. I pressed the option to cancel my shipment. the automated system reported that I would have my " membership" cancelled and would be charged a discounted price of over $35.oo for this "already shipped product" I was unable to speak with an individual to explain that I had agreed to $4.95 for a trial size of the product. I then went to their onine site and sent an email expressing my desire to have the $4.95 price recognized and any further shipments cancelled. I did not receive a response. I received the product 3 days later, with a "peel off" label with the contact and return information attached. I attempted to contact them and again only got an automated customer service line.I notice today that 3 other charges at 2 different addressess had charged me for products. I notified my bank and cancelled my credit card. I am returning the unopened product to the attached address. Please help meDesired Settlement: Payments cancelled/returned.
