Rock not only has a wide selection of parts at the best prices but also has the best Checkout options in the business.
Outstanding Service.

Great prices, great shipping, and a huge selection of items. I like being able to select more then one grade of part, (ie performance vs standard vs economy).

I've made several purchases from Rock Auto and on all occasions the parts that were ordered was delivered in a timely manor and in good working order, any order that had a core was returned and credit was issued without any problems as well as one item that I was planning on returning but did not, but the same with that item, return authorization was given right away.

I've been using Rock Auto for several years...always been very satisfied!

I have been using Rockauto for years now and have always had a great experience. Their online catalog is fabulous, their prices are very competitive and ship very fast. I will continue to use Rockauto for my car part needs.

Rock Auto is the first place I buy my parts from, easy to use website ships fast and never had a problem with them completing a order for me.

Review: I purchased premium auto parts, and RockAuto sent cheap quality knock-off parts in the premium box. I shopped for parts with the pictures on the website, and the parts I received did not match what was pictured on the website. The company gouges on shipping costs. They promised to send a return label for three parts for a full refund, and instead sent a label for a single part, and then refunded the cost of the other two parts minus what I was gouged on shipping. The customer service person was extremely rude when I called to inquire, and stated they may sell parts that are lower quality than what is pictured.Desired Settlement: I would like to return the parts which are falsely advertised for a full refund.

Response:

Mr. [redacted] ordered 10 parts, a mixture of “premium auto parts” and discounted “wholesaler closeout/private label package” parts (see attached order). We shipped the parts he ordered, none of which were “falsely advertised”. The parts shipped from 3 locations, so the combined shipping cost was $23.79, as shown when he placed the order. He received the parts he ordered, but it’s unclear why a few of the parts won’t work for this vehicle despite the manufacturer specifying they should. We refunded for two parts ($3.57 and $1.18) without requiring a return, and we provided a pre-paid return label to return the third item. Mr. [redacted] told us he accepted this solution. He has not returned the third item. Once that item is returned, he will receive a refund ($20.79) for that as well.

Have always had good service from RockAuto

I've bought products from Rock Auto on a number of occasions now, and have never had any problems with parts that I have ordered.

simply the BEST!!!

Parts always fit, and are 1/2 the price of local parts houses - who usually have to order the parts in anyway!

I ordered a set of brake pads from Rock Auto and when I received the part, I opened the box, pulled the brakes out of the box and it was wrapped in plastic and had 4 pads in it. I thought everything was good so I hired my mechanic to do the job. After he had already taken the wheels and old pads off, we unwrapped the plastic from the pads only to find out that one of the clips was missing on one of the pads. I contacted Rock Auto online and set up to have a new part sent to me. They sent me a return shipping label and wanted the part dropped off to FedEx and they would ship me a return part as soon as the tracking for the part I was returning showed that it was on it's way back to them. I dropped the package off to Fedex at 2:41 Pm on 6/9/16 and it was delivered to the Rock Auto Warehouse on 6/10/16 @8:58 AM and I have the name of the person who signed for it. I then called customer service and spoke with Eric (not quite sure of the last name, [redacted] is the name I got when I called back and did a dial directory). Eric was VERY RUDE!! From the get go I explained my situation and asked why it was that they had already received my package through fedex (in less than 24 hours) but my replacements had not been shipped yet and per the email I received from them, my part would ship as soon as the tracking showed up that I had sent the other part back. They received their part back quick but yet I still have to wait for them to ship my part DHL (which takes a lot longer than fedex, plus I only live 45 mins away from the warehouse it ships from). I was informed that because DHL was the method I chose to begin with, that is the method they chose to send it back. It makes no sense to me why they can ship a defective part quickly back to themselves but cannot send the part to meany quicker. I repeatedly told them through email I had my vehicle on jacks at the mechanic because I did not want to pay for brakes to be put on twice so PLEASE get me the parts as soon as possible. I asked Eric why I was being treated like this was my fault and he said no was treating me like it was my fault and I then began again telling him it made no sense why they would send themselves a part in a quicker manner then you would to send me my replacement and while I was talking he kept interrupting me and saying "let me talk". He was VERY RUDE. I asked for a supervisor many times and he refused. After a minute or so of his tone and rudeness, I got rude back and he said he didn't have to listen to this so again, I asked for a supervisor and he again said no. After it sort of became a yelling match on the phone and after numerous request to speak to a supervisor and being denied, I flipped out and told Eric to "Put me on the line with your supervisor [redacted]" and he hung up. I was getting no where any way and after getting online and reading so many google reviews from people who have dealt with the customer service and who have had the same problem, I realize that calling back would have gotten me no where so I came to write reviews myself. I really wished they would record the customer service calls for Rock Auto like they do for many other businesses so they higher ups (if there are any) could hear just how their reps talk to people. If I ever have to contact customer service again over this order (because now there will never be another order thanks to CS), I will most definately record the conversation myself. I have used Rock Auto for many parts until now and the customer service they give is what will keep me from going back in the future. A company that allows their employees to treat customers this way does not deserve business. I will tell everyone that I have recommended this company to how they really are and recommend they shop somewhere else that actually values their customers. Time to give [redacted] a try.

This is the first time that I used is to get a part for my car I seen the commercial for rock auto parts and I will continue to order my parts for my car I like this website a lot and I will recommend my friends to order parts for your car on this website to

I have purchased parts from RockAuto numerous times and have always been satisfied with the parts and service received.

Parts professionals. Ships to Canada, to your door, with duty included in the shipping price. I've ordered dozens of parts, always correct+complete. They have a large number of warehouses across the U.S. and give you a "guesstimate" of when the shipment could arrive. THE BAD: One part, one time, wrong part in correct box(box looked unopened...I think factory mistake) One part, one time,ancient,beat-up box, however, all parts inside and in perfect condition(also, exact same part at local C.T.C. was $97.00 EACH plus tax...Rockauto was around $110.00 FOR ALL 4 including H.S.T. tax, duty, and shipping to my door. Most times prices are half of C.T.C.

Review: I purchased a distributor in two parts. The upper cap and rotor and the lower distributor. Installed both components in vehicle and the parts did not work. I needed the car back in service and could not wait for shipping time from Rockauto. I purchased the complete distributor from a local vendor instead. I installed in the vehicle and it worked fine. I called Rockauto for return instructions and was told to return lower distributor for full refund and they asked if I installed the upper cap and rotor. I honestly replied that I had installed the parts. How else would I have known they were defective? Their reply was that the upper cap and rotor are non refundable because they had been installed. I tried to return the parts together in hopes of reasoning with customer service and hopefully even getting store credit for future purchases. I had been a loyal customer for years and was hoping to continue buying parts for other cars. Rockauto has offered NO help or willingness to come to any type of compromise. I am just supposed to eat a $ 215.00 defective part because they will not deter from "THEIR" company policy.Desired Settlement: I would be willing to put this incident behind if they would stand by their products and just give store credit for future parts. I understand electrical parts can be a problem but they can deal with defective parts from their supplier. It would mean a lot if Rockauto would just attempt to keep their customers happy and coming back for more business.

Response:

To clarify, the

distributor the customer purchased was diagnosed as defective, so we

offered a return for either a reshipment or a refund. The customer

chose to be refunded, so we refunded the customer in full for the

defective part. The customer separately purchased a distributor cap

and rotor, which were also installed but not defective. We understand

the customer was unable to wait a few days for a reshipment of the

defective distrubutor. Had he allowed us to reship instead of refund

he could have reused the cap and rotor. However, the customer

purchased a new complete distributor, cap, and rotor elsewhere when

only the distributor was defective. The customer has now requested to

return his unwanted cap and rotor he purchased from RockAuto. As our

Return

Policy states the customer can not return installed parts for a

refund simply because they are not needed. The customer's distributor

cap and rotor, which he returned despite being told not to, have been

sent back to the customer at his expense.

Response:

To clarify, I pre-purchased parts to perform a tune up that included the distributor cap and rotor kit. When performing the tune up and removing the original distributor from the car I discovered the lower end of the distributor also needed to be replaced, since I already purchased the cap and rotor I ordered just the lower end of the dist. from rockauto not the complete unit. When it arrived ( a week later-it ships from an outside warehouse and I was aware of that )I installed it as a complete distributor and it failed. I could not wait another week and purchased a complete unit from a local vendor. In contacting rockauto they did agree to refund for the lower section of the distributor but since I installed the upper cap and rotor it was not refundable??? This is not a normal dist. it is called an optispark and it goes in the car as one unit. How was I to know it was defective if it wasn't installed??? Their refusal to reimburse or give credit for a part already installed is Rockauto POLICY according to their reps. I did include the cap and rotor when returning the lower section of the distributor in hopes of reasoning with someone in customer service, but the only response was rockauto policies not customer service. After being a return customer I thought we could come to some kind of agreement. The only choice I was given was to have the warehouse dispose if it or pay for return shipment. So I paid the shipping charges again to have a $250 defective part returned to me that I am supposed to sell to someone else. I guess I am supposed to ignore moral values as they do. I also see the rockauto policies are not satisfied customers but to sell parts period.

Parts are always correct and I like the prices. Usually arrives sooner than quoted. Very pleased, for years.

They will absolutely go out of their way to make sure their customers are satisfied. I have been dealing with them for quite a few years and will highly recommend them!

I have made many orders over about 5 years and they have consistently been a good supplier. The parts got here fast, they were exactly as ordered, and in one case where there was a warehouse error, they fixed it. They are a keeper.

Dishonesty to their customers!! The company offers a 5% discount when you enter a code. BUT there is no where to enter the code on check out!! After texting back and forth, I was told the code is entered where it states "how did you hear about us". REALLY!! I never did receive the discount because my ordered had shipped. REALLY!!! ONE can't credit my card the 5 %.... NOPE.. REDICULOUS. .. A dishonest company Noone should do business with!!
