Ordered two parts from rock auto a month ago. Was impressed with how quickly I received them, however, they shipped one correct part and one completely incorrect part. Got a hold of them and they emailed a fed ex label for an easy return. Fed ex wouldn't accept the package since the label was incorrect and after a week of horrible customer service and receiving the "run around" from them they agreed to FINALLY ship the correct part. That was three weeks after they accepted payment for it. They promised me it would ship that day (Monday) and I would receive it by the "end of the week." Well it is a week later and the part hasn't even left their warehouse yet. I've called and asked to speak to a supervisor and was refused. Instead they claim they are 2nd day air shipping it to me today. I will never give them business again. How disappointing, ESPECIALLY since this was THEIR mistake! Ridiculous!

Found an ABS sensor on Rock Auto for a third of the price at an aftermarket parts store. Worked fine and solved the problem. I assume the part was made in the same factoy as oem.

They have a great online parts catalog. They also have great customer service. I chose my parts; which are greatly priced with ease. And when I had a question I called their live customer service that answered and helped me throughout my shopping experience. They have found a new customer for life!

I copied this from the website. According to this descriptions - the kit includes the water pump. At least I can see that it says- Includes: Timing Belt, Camshaft Belt Tensioner, 2 Camshaft Belt Idlers (Hydraulic Actuator not Included); Water Pump Driven by Timing Belt, Interference Engine

Actually the water pump is not included. This description is misleading. It makes people to think that the water pump is included.

This incorrect advertising led to additional costs I had to pay to local retailer for the pump, plus additional mechanics time cost.

When I called to the customer service. Representatives (I talked to 2 representatives) were not willing to understand. they said that I looked at the wrong section and refused to admit that the advertising is misleading. The manner they talk to customers is rude.

indication that a water pump would not be included. A semicolon is

used to separate two components of the part description, which

explains this kit is for a vehicle that uses a water pump that is

driven by the timing belt. Since we shipped what the customer

Rock Auto has good prices on parts, but beware that a lot of their parts are the cheap Chinese-made kind, and don't fit or work well. Just beware and try to order brand names when you can. My real issue is with customer service, your wrong and they are right no matter what. I had a dispute over a shipping charge, even though I was following directions that were emailed to me, they would not credit my shipping. I am always suspicious of a company that has no phone number listed on their website. You can't call, just have to go back and forth with email. Customer service is bad.

Review: I ordered a part for my vehicle from their website. When it delivered to my house, it came in the wrong part type. They sent it for a completely different model type, and trying to blame me, as they are saying, supposedly, in the description of the part, it was for a 4-door model of my car, of which there is no 4-door version of a 1999 BMW 323is. There is only a 2-door coupe. I also have a shipping receipt which speaks to my favor, labeling the car it goes to, but speaks nothing of a 4-door model.Desired Settlement: I would like, either, the part that is specific to my car, or

ordered for his 1999 BMW 323IS 2.5L L6 has a part description next to

the part number that reads, “4dr sedan/4dr wagon; E46; Right Front

assy,” indicating the fender is for the passenger's side (right)

front of a 4 door sedan or wagon of this model BMW. There are 4-door

versions of the 1999 BMW323IS. Unfortunately, we do not carry any

2-door coupe fenders for this vehicle. He is free to return the part

for a part cost refund, as he is still within our 30-day return

policy.
