To Whom it May Concern,I am writing in regards to Revdex.com complaint # [redacted] [redacted] believed that Yext was supplying incorrect information to certain online directories like [redacted] , and that paying Yext was the only way to update these listings [redacted] had not purchased the Yext serviceI explained how Yext works, in that we have no control of her listings or ability to manage them without a paid subscription I outlined some possible sources for the incorrect information, and sent her contact information via email for these possible sources and all of the publishers in our network [redacted] understood this, so she will now set out to correct the listings on a site-by-site basis and through submitting to data aggregators.She now has my contact information, as well, in case she has any additional questionsThank you, Supervisor of Client Support, Yext

To Whom It May Concern,This is regarding NYRevdex.com Complaint # [redacted] [redacted] is having difficulty correcting information about his business, specifically the category, on some online local search directories He is under the impression that Yext is obtaining this information from another source, providing it to the listing sites, and then asking him to pay to correct it I have attempted to call [redacted] several times to discuss his concerns but I have been unable to reach him I would like to make it clear that Yext does not get business information from any outside sources and does not provide data to any site for a business that is not an active and paying client of ours Yext only provides information for businesses who pay for an active subscription with usThis ensures that Yext is passing the best data for the business and it is coming from the business directly, as the sole data provider to the listings The reason Yext exists is because in the local search ecosystem, there is a problem where listings can be created by a multitude of different sources, such as data aggregators, many of which the business has no control over Yext has partnered with local search directories to give business direct control of these listings and our mission is to assist business owners with updating and syncing their information across the web I completely understand the frustration of having your business listed incorrectly And if Yext is not the right solution for [redacted] ***, we totally understand! To Whom It May Concern:This is regarding NYRevdex.com Complaint # [redacted] where [redacted] was not with the billing cycle and renewal policy with his Yext Partner AccountWe spoke with [redacted] on the phone to explain how and why he aw a renewal charge for his client locationsThe Yext Partner program is designed for businesses like Maine New Media who wish to purchase Yext services for their end clientsAll subscriptions at Yext have auto-renewals in place to preserve the integrity of the listings being provided by YextYext also provides all billing information and renewal dates in the Yext as well as notifications sent by email to the email on file to ensure full transparency of what accounts will be renewedWe provided [redacted] with all of this information as well as instructions on how to make any future cancellations in his accountYext is able to ensure that renewals do not continue if the location is marked for non-renewal by the clientAny active subscriptions will then terminate at the end of the paid term All of this was is also made available in the Yext Terms of Service which are agreed upon initially at the beginning of the partnership.At this point we explained if [redacted] wishes to continue any business with Yext as a partner, we would be happy to discuss new billing cycles and billing terms that works for his businessAdditionally, [redacted] is able to cancel and future subscriptions his accountYext wishes [redacted] most success with his business and hope he finds resolution with his clients.Kind regards,Yext Partner Team

It is clear that Yext is only interested in arguing with their customers not in reaching a solution for what they allege/even admit was a "misunderstanding". I believe it was fraud and misrepresentation. I will escalate this to to the Attorney general's office as well as make my dissatisfaction heard all over social media. It is going to cost Yext a lot more in lost business than the refund I am asking for and the fact that Yext won't come to an agreeable solution just proves to me even further that I am not dealing with a reputable company. I hope you give them an F rating for their terrible handling of this complaint. Algorithms..give me a break..what an easy out for you. Oh it is algorithms. Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:Yext did not provide multiple options they simply told us we needed to pay the balance due when we disputed the agreement and what we were told by the sales representativeOur contract was not cancelled due to non payment it was cancelled because Crystal the president requested it to beAll payments were current at the timeYext took away the ability for us to honor our commitment so it deemed is impossible to fulfill any obligationOur company has recorded phone conversations with Yext to the contrary of what the respondedWe simply did not receive any further access to their portal for the 7K bill they are holding us accountable forFurthermore, the sales representative misrepresented their product and the agreement was signed under pretenses of when the billing was due as wellYext needs to make this rightWe did not use 7K of their service or 24K and they were not honest in full when we signed the agreementWe are a small business and were taken advantage of In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: I do not dispute that Yext updated my information during the subscription periodWhat I am disputing is that businesses like mine are FORCED to pay fees to keep their information updated on the internetThe only alternative to not using the services of Yext is to contact every website on the internet that provides business listings, create an account, and then change my business listing manuallyYext knows this is not a viable alternativeIf it was easily done, Yext would not be in businessAs you see in the response from Yext, they are more than happy to give the information of the other listing websites because they know that business owners do not have the time to manually set up an account and change the listings on every website that has a faulty listingI have tried this alternative for many websites and ironically, many of them refer back to Yext to update your listingMy biggest complaint is that even after I paid $to update my listing with Yext affiliates, many of the affiliates that had the correct information went back to old informationCase in point CityMaps CityMaps is a direct affiliate with Yext, they obviously get their info from YextHere is a quote from their site:" [redacted] ** *** [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] *** [redacted] [redacted] ***" So according to Yexts' response, you would think that at LEAST the sites that use Yext for their data would have the updated informationThis is not the caseCityMaps did have the correct information during my subscription and now it has gone back to the wrong addressContrary to what Yext wrote in their response, the full listing did not go back finding old information on a different site, It is getting the wrong information from YextTheir story does not add up Here is the link to what my CityMaps listing looks like nowKeep in mind, this site gets their data from Yext[redacted] This proves that Yext is hiding behind technical speak to justify changing listing back to the wrong info.Someone needs to stand up to this company and put it on record that they are parasite that feeds on extortion of businesses I am including a screen shot of the incorrect listing on CityMaps In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

[redacted] believed that Yext was supplying incorrect information to Yahoo, and that paying Yext was the only way to update these listings. [redacted] had not purchased the Yext service. I explained how Yext works, in that we... have no control of his listings or ability to manage them without a subscription. I explained the Yahoo Free Basic Listing submission options and sent instructions on how to sign up for this. I also outlined some possible sources for the incorrect information, and sent him contact information via email for these possible sources. Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: [I did speak with Giulia The [redacted] Free Basic account through Yext and the different methods for verification through the dashboard were a complete waste of my time.Giulia must NOT comprehend that I have been listed for years and ALL of my information was correct until Yext took over ***'s Small Business listings Since then, my phone number is wrong The phone number they have listed under MY business name is for another business To top it off the number they are listing as my business phone is actually for a competitive garage door company They know they have our phone number wrong and yet continue to list inaccurate information Yet, Yext claims, "to help get perfect information into the hands of consumers, driving more customers to their storefronts." Therefore what they are doing to me is, giving out incorrect information into the hands of consumers and driving away my customers.I will submit my Annual Franchise Tax Report as soon as I find a way to scan it (I do not own a scanner.) I'm not even sure "to whom" or "where" to send this scanned document I could mail a copy easier and quicker but Giulia wants it scanned Imagine that! To Whom This May Concern: This is in reference to Revdex.com Complaint # [redacted] Our Support Supervisor, Giulia, reached out directly to [redacted] and apologized for any conflicting information he may have received from the Support staffAdditionally, she provided clarification around how our partnership with [redacted] works and how the verification process works [redacted] responded that he did submit his listing for verification and that there may have been a miscommunication with [redacted] and YextGiulia then spoke with him on the phone to further explain our partnership with Yahoo, and to let him know that she escalated the issue with YahooShe followed up with an email with contact information on how to reach out to [redacted] directly to ensure the listing is accurateAdditionally, Giulia provided information for other aggregators where publishers get their sources from, which may be causing the incorrect information to appear on his listing [redacted] responded to say that the information on the data aggregator, InfoUSA, was helpful as that may have been where the bad data was coming fromHe was able to make contact with them and update the phone number, which should then be pushed out in their next round of updatesIf [redacted] would like to connect with our Support Team or Giulia again, he is more than welcome to contact [redacted] at any timeWe appreciate his helpful feedback and hope that we were able to help [redacted] in our support effortsThank you,Yext
