To Whom It May Concern, This is regarding NYRevdex.com Complaint #[redacted].  [redacted] was having some difficulty claiming her business for free on [redacted].  She was under the impression that Yext was extorting money from her business and had removed her listing.  I called [redacted]...

and had a really nice conversation with her on the phone regarding her situation.  After explaining that Yext can only power or edit listings for businesses that have paid subscriptions for our service, I was able to walk [redacted] through submitting a free claim for her business listing.  Everything was settled with [redacted] during our call and I'm glad we were able to get in touch so I could hear her feedback and I could assist her in going through the [redacted] Free Claims process. If we can assist in any other way, please let us know.  Best regards,

To Whom It May Concern, This is regarding NYRevdex.com Complaint #[redacted].  [redacted] has found herself in a tough spot where her personal cell phone number is associated with a business she has no relation to.  This is resulting in business listings with her cell phone number on...

different local search directories.  I spoke with [redacted] on the phone about her situation and clarified what [redacted] does and offered some possible routes to tackle her problem.  Since neither the business in question nor [redacted] herself have accounts with Yext, we are not and have not provided her phone number to any listing sites.  Since [redacted] is not powering those listings or that information, [redacted] is unable to edit those listings or remove that number.  I recommended she reach out to the listing sites directly to flag the number or reach out to the data aggregators who provide the base data for these listing sites.   I'm glad I was able to offer my assistance to [redacted] and point her in the right direction so she can resolve the situation and I wish her the best of luck. Best regards,Supervisor of Client Support - [redacted]

To Whom It May Concern,This is regarding NYRevdex.com Complaint #[redacted].  [redacted] is having difficulty correcting information about his business, specifically the category, on some online local search directories.  He is under the impression that Yext is obtaining this information from another...

source, providing it to the listing sites, and then asking him to pay to correct it.  I have attempted to call [redacted] several times to discuss his concerns but I have been unable to reach him.  I would like to make it clear that Yext does not get business information from any outside sources and does not provide data to any site for a business that is not an active and paying client of ours.  Yext only provides information for businesses who pay for an active subscription with us. This ensures that Yext is passing the best data for the business and it is coming from the business directly, as the sole data provider to the listings.  The reason Yext exists is because in the local search ecosystem, there is a problem where listings can be created by a multitude of different sources, such as data aggregators, many of which the business has no control over.  Yext has partnered with local search directories to give business direct control of these listings and our mission is to assist business owners with updating and syncing their information across the web.  I completely understand the frustration of having your business listed incorrectly.  And if Yext is not the right solution for [redacted], we totally understand!  In that case, I would recommend that he reach out to the sites directly to correct his categories.  Another option is to correct his information with different data aggregators or other base-data providers.  If he would like some help getting in contact with them, we would be happy to assist.  He can reach us by calling ###-###-#### or by emailing [redacted].All the best,Supervisor of Client Support - Yext

To Whom It May Concern:This is regarding NYRevdex.com Complaint ID# [redacted] where [redacted] was not aware of the billing cycle and renewal policy with his Yext Partner Account. In addition to speaking with [redacted] on the phone to explain how and why a renewal charge for his client locations occurred, we also sent him an email on May 9 to touch base on his dissatisfaction with our previous NYRevdex.com response. In this email, we stated that it was never our intention to deceive him and we included a copy of a renewal email that was sent to him to show the effort Yext takes to keep partners up to date on their subscription cycles and renewals.  Additionally, Mr. Barron’s billing transactions were handled and he no longer has an active subscription with Yext. We also explained to [redacted] in this email communication that if he would like to continue to be a part of the Yext Partner Community his account managers would be happy to speak with him. We wish [redacted] great success in his business and he is more than welcome to contact us if he has additional questions. Thank you,Yext Partner Team

To Whom It May Concern,Based on the remainder of the complaint that was re-opened, it appears that there is nothing left for Yext to do in this situation.  I am glad [redacted] was able to get his listings updated and removed directly through [redacted].  I would like to apologize for the frustrations he encountered and wish we had the ability to do more to help in the situation he was facing.   We wish [redacted] the best with everything moving forward.  Best regards,Supervisor of Client Support, Yext

To Whom This May Concern, This is in response to Complaint ID # [redacted]. We appreciate [redacted] bringing this to us. As mentioned previously, she did speak with a Support Team member, who explained that we can only manage the listings of businesses that have a paid subscription with us. Any listings that aren't powered through our service have not been edited or created by [redacted]. False information about a business can often come from sources such as data aggregators, who find incorrect information from many sources across the web and ultimately listings can be created. Our services work to counteract this, but giving businesses control to update their information in real time across sites. Additionally, because [redacted] is not a paid client, we do not have access to her business listings and cannot update information where it lives. We want to ensure that [redacted] has the tools to find out the source of the information and to submit new information, if applicable, to these sites. Please see below for our publishers' contact information:

[redacted]Below is also a list of other data aggregators in which many publishers get their information from. Data aggregators are companies who scan the web for public information. They then compile the information and submit it to listing sites, who in turn update/create listings based on this information. As the data aggregators are getting their information from public sources rather than the businesses themselves it is not always accurate. If you reach out to the data aggregators directly you may be able to provide them with your accurate business information.[redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], based on the understanding that Yext was willing to refund my money, and agreed to not dispute the chargeback I find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

To Whom It May Concern: This is in response to Complaint ID# [redacted]. Regarding [redacted]’ dissatisfaction with our last response, we can only manage the listings of businesses that have a paid subscription with us. Any listings that aren't powered through our service have not been edited or created by Yext. While the Yext service provides clear benefits to our thousands of clients, it isn't a magic bullet, and when a Yext client discontinues use of our service an individual publisher may revert back to whatever information sources they were previously using to gapfill listing information. That is why we sell our product on a subscription basis, rather than as a one-time sale. Even though [redacted] is no longer a client of Yext, we want to ensure she has the tools to find out the source of the information and to submit new information, if applicable. To Whom It May Concern,This is in response to complaint ID #[redacted]. We passed [redacted]'s message to our Support Team, who reached out to clarify and discuss how our services work. According to our Support Team, it appears [redacted]'s main frustration was that he felt he was being forced to pay for...

a service that was in his ability to have for free. The Yext Sales Associate who initially contacted [redacted], incorrectly mentioned that Yext-powered listings take 24-48 hours to go live, however, with Vitals, this can take up to 4 weeks. We apologize that this information was incorrectly given out to [redacted]. As mentioned, Vitals Free Claims can take a minimum of 4 weeks to be processed by Vitals once the listing information is submitted whether paid or free. To help [redacted] understand the Yext Sales Associate's thinking, the Associate was speaking to the general processing time for listings to go live (2-5 days, barring several who take up to two weeks to a month), but did not mention that the Healthcare Publisher Pack, which Vitals is a part of, works differently than the Yext Listings subscriptions. Our Support Team has reached out to him, and responded to his concerns. [redacted] has now written an additional ticket to our Support Team about the same issue. If [redacted] has any additional questions, he is more than welcome to continue speaking directly with our Support Team and can contact us at any time at [email protected] You.Yext

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[I did speak with Giulia.  The [redacted] Free Basic account through Yext and the different methods for verification through the dashboard were a complete waste of my time.Giulia must NOT comprehend that I have been listed for years and ALL of my information was correct until Yext took over [redacted]'s Small Business listings.  Since then, my phone number is wrong.  The phone number they have listed under MY business name is for another business.  To top it off the number they are listing as my business phone is actually for a competitive garage door company.  They know they have our phone number wrong and yet continue to list inaccurate information.  Yet, Yext claims, "to help get perfect information into the hands of consumers, driving more customers to their storefronts."  Therefore what they are doing to me is, giving out incorrect information into the hands of consumers and  driving away my customers.I will submit my Annual Franchise Tax Report as soon as I find a way to scan it.  (I do not own a scanner.)  I'm not even sure "to whom" or "where" to send this scanned document.  I could mail a copy easier and quicker but Giulia wants it scanned.  Imagine that! If nothing can be done for YEXT to correct their mistake, then I request that I be removed completely from their listings. Until my business phone number is corrected or ALL of my business information (business name, address, phone #) has been removed completely, this WILL remain a complaint against YEXT.  Thank you, [redacted] ###-###-####

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Completely unacceptable. It is clear that Yext is only interested in arguing with their customers not in reaching a solution for what they allege/even admit was a "misunderstanding". I believe it was fraud and misrepresentation. I will escalate this to to the Attorney general's office as well as make my dissatisfaction heard all over social media. It is going to cost Yext a lot more in lost business than the refund I am asking for and the fact that Yext won't come to an agreeable solution just proves to me even further that I am not dealing with a reputable company. I hope you give them an F rating for their terrible handling of this complaint. Algorithms..give me a break..what an easy out for you. Oh it is algorithms. Well I have nothing better to do today than post my dissatisfaction all over social media.

Hi [redacted],I am writing regarding NYRevdex.com Complaint #[redacted].  The phone number listed in the complaint is not registered in our system as a lead and as such has never been called by our sales team.  We reached out to our IT team and they have confirmed that your number has been...

receiving calls from a foreign call center using "Yext, Inc." on their caller ID - a common scam with large outsourced call centers. Unfortunately, you are not the only person to receive calls of this nature and reach out to us about it.  We completely understand how frustrating this is for you and it's definitely an issue we need to get resolved, as well.  Yext has been hard at work with phone service providers to clear our name from their caller ID records and hope to have the last of this solved soon.  Thank you for reaching out and please let us know if you have any questions. All the best,Supervisor of Client Support - Yext

To Whom It May Concern, This is regarding NYRevdex.com Complaint #[redacted].  [redacted] was unable to sign up for an account directly with Yext because there was an active account with another service provider and we did not want him paying for the same service twice.  With Yext...

unable to cancel accounts on behalf of the other service provider, our hands were tied until they took action on the issue.  We were able to escalate this request on behalf of [redacted] and the other service provider cancelled the account, per his request.  I have communicated this to the client and he has since activated an account directly with Yext.   I'm glad we were able to assist the [redacted] with their request and we hope they enjoy their time with Yext! All the best,Supervisor of Client Support, Yext

To Whom It May Concern,To Whom It May Concern,This is in response to complaint ID #[redacted]. After receiving [redacted]'s first complaint, we passed along her message to our Support Team, who reached out to discuss how our services work. Because [redacted] does not have an active Yext account, we are not able to make these requested changes. We would like to reiterate that, as a company, Yext can only edit information on behalf of a business with whom we work. Our Support Team explained to [redacted] that we do not have an active account for her business, Completely Clean Homes. [redacted] or a data aggregator may have taken old information from a previous listing, and as a result, may be showing our name. We want to assure [redacted] that Yext is not providing information for her business anywhere on the web. We recommend that [redacted] reach out directly to [redacted]. We have provided their contact information below:[redacted]: [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I have done print screens of the search where we do not even show up on the listings at all on [redacted] even though you showed on Yext that we were live! You guarantee a listing! You have misrepresented your service to me and if I do not receive a full refund in the amount of 699.00 I will take this to the attorney generals office.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The only solution Yext has offered is to pay another full subscription fee to keep our online listings updated.  Not that I was looking for a discount, but they did not even offer a small discount for the trouble I have had.  Yext knows the only solution to my problem is to pay for their services.  This is exactly why I want this problem to be on their record on the Revdex.com website.  Businesses need to know that Yext is capitalizing on an artificial demand created by business listing websites and Yext is the worst of them because they have created a network of "partners" who have a monopoly on business listings. There is no way for me to update my listings on my own because most of the listings that are wrong on the internet refer me back to Yext to update my listing.I believe Yext is free to be in business just like everyone else.  What I have a problem with is unethical way they have created this artificial demand.  The U.S. post office does not charge me to change my address when I move my business. Why should I pay anyone else to update my own information?

This is in response to Revdex.com Complaint ID# 1[redacted]. We appreciate [redacted] reaching out again. Per our last response to [redacted], Giulia has spoken with [redacted] about verifying his business information through the uploading of business documents to the verification site. It appears as though he did not complete this. We passed his latest Revdex.com message back to Giulia who was able to bypass this process and approve him within the system. Now that the verification is complete, [redacted] will receive his update request. To make this easier, Giulia has also escalated his request to [redacted] to update his information as soon as possible. We hope that this is helpful. If [redacted] has any further questions or concerns, he is more than welcome to reach out to us directly at su[redacted].
