To Whom This May Concern, We have passed [redacted]'s response on to his Account Team, who have removed the charges from [redacted]'s account. [redacted] will no longer be requesting collection from [redacted], so he can consider his [redacted] account to be terminated and he will owe [redacted] nothing. We hope that this helps. Thank you,[redacted]

This is in reference to Complaint (ID# [redacted]). Our Support Team reached out to [redacted] to discuss her issues with [redacted] and explain how our partnership with [redacted] works. In our outreach, our Support Team explained that when [redacted] was planning on eliminating free claims altogether, Yext...

partnered with [redacted] to save that program by taking over the verification process. [redacted] is ultimately the final decision maker when it comes to their listings. Yext is doing our part to help them maintain free claims and data quality standards. However, we do not have control over what listings are created, edited, or removed from their site. If [redacted] is interested in submitting an escalated claim to [redacted] regarding your listing she can submit a request to their escalated claims team at [redacted]Additionally, Since [redacted] does not have a paid account with Yext, we haven't provided any information about her business to any search directories. We can only manage the listings of businesses that have a paid subscription with us. Any listings that aren't powered through our service have not been edited or created by Yext. Listings can often be created on the web from a multitude of sources, and our mission is to assist business owners with updating and syncing their information across the web. When a change is verified through your free Yext dashboard, the information is submitted to [redacted]. [redacted] receives this information from the submission through your Yext account, at which point [redacted] will decide what to do with the information from there. For this reason, there is no guarantee that the information will update on the listing. If [redacted] has any other questions, she is more than welcome to contact us at any time at [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:This is a blatant lie. Only 2 sources knew of the domain
name that was used on the listing.[redacted]. I was told
by the [redacted] rep I talked to that they use the services of Yext, Inc.As I was glossing over other peoples complaints on here, it
appears that this is a common practice to coerce people into buying into their
service in order to gain their places pages back. I don't think it is a mere
coincidence that Yext, Inc is doing this to 'increase revenue' and look good to
the board since [redacted], Inc has partnered with them in managing small business
place pages.Bottomline, if Yext were truly honest and wanted to help
straighten their mess out. They would have offered to create a temporary
account (as one of their excuses was, you don't have an account with us in
order for us to fix it) and fixed their mess. I spoke to a [redacted] representative
who is a Partner Manager, Global Partnerships about this issue. I don't very
seriously that 1000's are able to modify a business's place page at will. If
that were the case, then why have one in the first place and why verify it as I
have originally done when I created it along with several others on major
search sites several years ago?I did not deny their help, I simply denied their not
accepting responsibility and their refusal to correct their mistake.
Unscrupulous business practices these characters (Yext, Inc) employ. As for 'fixing' per this Yext rep mentioned - You
automatically get railroaded into Yext services to [redacted]

To Whom It May Concern, This is a response to Complaint ID# [redacted]. We passed this on to Mia on our Support Team, who contacted [redacted] right away via phone to explain Yext’s services and how our partnership with Yahoo works. We understand how frustrating it is for companies to correct listing...

information online, but [redacted] can rest assured that we do not have access to her business’s information online, nor are we able to make changes to information if a business is not a customer of ours. Mia provided [redacted] with information on how to contact yahoo directly, as well as information for other data aggregators so that she can contact them and ensure that her business’s information is correct. Yext tries to take away the manual process of doing this, but understand if [redacted] prefers to do this manually rather than paying. We are happy that we were able to point her in the right direction. If [redacted] has any additional questions or needs anything else, she is more than welcome to contact Yext directly at [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer HereThank you very much Yext for your kind response. No I DO NOT want to become your customer. I've told you that already, once you called me after you got the right information of my business. There are a million platforms popped out lately with the wrong information, which you oddly can fix only when you get paid. Therefore, you are saying that you've made a mistake which you're not willing to fix, unless you get paid, of course.Honestly, I could care less if you are willing or not, it's just I am working in Healthcare underserved area, and I need to protect my clients. Even if they're future clients. Can you imagene there is such concept? Majority of this unhealthy population that referred to me, is getting paid by the government. So, in case someone gets really hurt orpasses away god forbid, because they didn't get the proper care, since they were too frustrated with the wrong information provided online. I'll need to show all the documentation on what I have done to prevent it, and here it is.Who is going to take responsibility and deal with the government entity after the fact, is entirely up to you.Best Regards,[redacted]

To Whom It May Concern,This is regarding NYRevdex.com Complaint #[redacted].  I spoke with [redacted] about her situation and how Yext fits into that picture. I have provided a few things for her in this an email as well that will shed a little more light on how Yext works, as well as some information...

that should help her find a solution fits her needs. We understand Yext isn't the right solution for everyone and I hope I'm at least able to point her in the right direction.Yext, throughout its history, has always been very transparent about how our technology works. I have provided an article which explains how Yext works and what happens when you don't have Yext anymore. It gives you a pretty good sense for what our proprietary technology does and what life is like with and without Yext. It also speaks to the fact that we only have the ability to update a listing if the business has an account.  Since [redacted] does not, we have no way of editing her listings in any way.[redacted]As far as next steps for [redacted], I have provided her with an Excel spreadsheet that contains contact information for the local search sites that we work with. This will help her if she chooses to manually reach out to the sites to correct her information. I also provided her with the names of two alternative services to use to correct her information. These other services are aggregator solutions. That means that they submit your business information to aggregators who then distribute that information to tons of different sites. While this solution is much cheaper and can be effective, it often takes months and there is no guarantee or lock. My other suggestion to her was to use a local marketing company in her area. There are tons out there that do a fantastic job and could work with her needs. I recommended just digging in and doing some research to see what's best for her and her company.I understand that marketing for a small business is super important and so is her time so I hope this information helps. If we can be of any further assistance in the future, please do not hesitate to reach out.Thank you,Supervisor of Client Support - Yext

To Whom It May Concern, This is in response to compliant ID#[redacted]. We appreciate [redacted] taking the time to share her thoughts, and we understand her frustration. We apologize if any misinformation occurred, and we'd like to clarify a few things. Businesses actually have a free listing...

account with [redacted] and businesses can access it by going to this site: [redacted]. When a [redacted] Free Basic Listings account is set up, it enables businesses to verify their business information on [redacted] for free. Businesses received access to a dashboard that shows the business name, categories, phone number, etc. Any changes to the listing information must be verified through proof of business, an official document showing your business name and address, such as a lease or utility bill. When a change is verified, the information is submitted to [redacted], at which point [redacted] will decide what to do with it. If you sign up through Yext, we can push your data to [redacted]. However, [redacted] ultimately has control over that decision, so we can't say if you'll be able to update information, claim a specific listing, or fix and existing duplication listing. If [redacted] would like to speak with a Yext representative, please email [redacted].Thank You.Yext

To Whom It May Concern, This is in response to complaint ID # [redacted]. We passed [redacted] review along to his Account Management team. This account team has reached out to [redacted] multiple times in an attempt to find a mutual termination agreement, but he has rejected all...

suggestions. Yext has refunded [redacted] for the overages to make sure that he is not paying more than is required. Yext will not be refunding him for previous services rendered, as agreed upon in the initial contract. If [redacted] has additional questions, he is more than welcome to contact his Account Manager or Yext Partner Support directly at [redacted].  Thank You.Yext

To Whom it May Concern,I am writing in regards to Revdex.com complaint #[redacted] believed that Yext was supplying incorrect information to Yahoo, and that paying Yext was the only way to update these listings. [redacted] had not purchased the Yext service. I explained how Yext works, in that we...

have no control of his listings or ability to manage them without a subscription.  I explained the Yahoo Free Basic Listing submission options and sent instructions on how to sign up for this. I also outlined some possible sources for the incorrect information, and sent him contact information via email for these possible sources. [redacted] understood this, so he will now set out to correct the listings by other means. Supervisor of Client Support, Yext

To Whom This May Concern: This is in response to complaint ID #[redacted]. We passed [redacted]'s complaint to our Support Team to explain how our partnerships with Yahoo works and how our services work to update information across all sites. Henry from Support followed up and explained that [redacted]...

Listings can often be created on the web from a multitude of sources, and our mission is to assist business owners with updating and syncing their information across the web.Henry then provided [redacted] with access to Yahoo Free Claims, where she could claim her business information for free without going through [redacted]. He also identified that [redacted] may be the culprit of the bad data that was feeding to Yahoo and encouraged [redacted] to connect with [redacted] directly to get this updated. He also provided a phone number to reach [redacted] to update this. We hope that this helps [redacted] updated her listings accordingly. If she has any further questions, she is more than welcome to contact Henry on our Support Team directly. Thank you,[redacted]

To Whom This May Concern: This is in regards to Revdex.com Case # (ID# [redacted]). We shared [redacted]'s complaint regarding our partnership with [redacted] to Giulia, the head of our Support Team. Giulia reached out to [redacted] and apologized if we gave him the impression that he would have to...

pay to submit his information to [redacted]. Given that he did open a free basic [redacted] Listing through Yext, Giulia provided him with details on how to verify his business information, which he had completed yet. She outlined three verification options that [redacted] can choose from to verify his listing on [redacted] for free. Once the verification has been completed, [redacted] should receive a response in approximately two weeks. One thing that Giulia reiterated is that the [redacted] Free Basic Listing submission does not guarantee that the listing will be updated. The information is submitted to [redacted] for review, and [redacted] alone has control over whether the business information is updated.[redacted] is more than welcome to contact Giulia directly regarding this matter. He may also contact our Support Team at su[redacted].Thank you,Yext

This is in response to complaint ID# [redacted]. This complaint was passed along to [redacted]’s account team. In regards to implementing a custom lead capture, this is something that Yext offers support on in getting a scan embedded on a customer’s website. Yext does not offer support for integrating...

a more in-depth lead capture and advise all partners/customers, including [redacted], to use in-house developers to create this extra step. Yext’s PowerListings product can function without the scan tool being embedded on the customer’s site. If this was miscommunicated in any way, Yext apologizes. Additionally, [redacted] signed a contract with Yext and went delinquent as of 11/**/16. After 8 failed attempts at payment, Yext locks clients out of their accounts until payment is received. Regardless if [redacted] requested to cancel, he did sign a contract with Yext. In addition to this, [redacted] did use Yext’s services throughout the contract and last year. We encourage [redacted] to reach out directly to his account manager or to Yext’s support if he has any further questions or concerns.

To Whom It May Concern, This is in regards to Complaint ID# [redacted]. We did call [redacted] at the number provided in her Revdex.com complaint (###-###-####). She is more than welcome to reach out to us at [redacted]. We would be happy to speak with her further and ensure that her account is taken care of in the best possible way. Thank you,Yext
