Dear [redacted]As previously stated, our records indicate that a refund has been processed and refund check #[redacted] in the amount of $533.33 was mailed to your address on file on July 14, 2016. 
Regarding the additional refund you are seeking in the amount of $266.67, our records indicate that 24 Hour Fitness did not successfully collect this payment as it was reversed by your bank. Although you provided a bank statement indicating a pending charge for $266.67 dated 6/2016, this payment was later reversed on 7/9/16 as a result of the dispute process you initiated with your bank. Your banking institution stopped payment and as a result, 24 Hour Fitness did not collect this payment. Additionally, this amount has been waived in our system as an extra precaution to assure you there will no further attempts for 24 Hour Fitness to collect this amount.   At this time, our records indicate that the appropriate refunds have been issued and there are no other refunds due to you regarding your account.

reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.My membership was re-instated which I appreciate, however my annual renewal rates are still over 400% from where they started which is a bait and switch from how it was sold to me (was told only small adjustments would be made to adjust for inflation etc).
I was also charged a full $129 for 2016 dues, even though my membership was not active for over half the year.
I know there is a class action lawsuit in regards to how 24 hour fitness is handling these 'lifetime' memberships. Very disappointed.

24 Hour Fitness considers the matter closed because they will not work with me. I do not wish to do business with them, as they have questionable business practices. Raising annual dues by 344% in one year is ridiculous. Claiming that "everyone's dues" have increased is patently untrue, since I checked with several people both in [redacted] and [redacted] and their dues have not increased at all this year. Since 24 Hour Fitness will not agree to reduce that 344% increase, the matter might be "closed" according to them, but their shoddy business practices are unacceptable, and I do not accept their "offer" because there wasn't one.

The phone number of [redacted] is my correct contact number, and I just confirmed that the voicemail is empty and functional.  I also contacted 24 Hour Fitness today and cofirmed that they have the [redacted] number on file.  I tried to resolve my pricing issue with the company again today (2nd time), to no avail; I was read the same script by the call center representative that the 50% dues increase from $99.99 to $149.99, while regretable, is necessary for the maintenance of the clubs.  The logical flaw in this argument is that once the company upgrades a club, they re-brand it as a Super Sport (rather than the Active/Sport locations that my membership can access) and I am denied entry to it, so I am not getting the benefit of the upgrade yet receive the 50% increase in dues to pay for it anyway.  The bottom line is that I paid $250 lump sum up-front for 3 years in order to keep my renewals at $99 thereafter, and with a 50% increase in the renewals my up-front large expense is being negated because I am not getting the benefit of the lower renewals it they're going to increase by 50% as well on the back-end.As an alternate contact number, my work phone is [redacted]Thank you so much for your assistance and representation in my complaint, I really appreciate it.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I did speak to the club manager and she said she could not do anything for me.  She stated my request could not be done by here and that I should contact the person who originally made me the offer.  When I told her the csstomer service person in corporate told me it was not possible to reach the person who made the commitment she said she could not help.  
This is clearly a run around back and forth between people who all have no interest in fulfilling the offer I was made.  I also asked, when I spoke to the customer service representative, before I filed this complaint, who I could go to at a higher level and was told there is no one else I can speak with.
Clearly the only interest this firm has is in money and there is no interest in good customer relations.  My request would be of no cost to them but all they want is for me to pay to upgrade my membership.

I have spoken with 24 hour fitness, and they explained that they increased our rates because it is within the fine print of the contract that they can do so, however, this is not an acceptable answer to me, especially as the contracted rate was only honored for 3 years.  As sold to us, there was no mention that our rates could or would go up, rather that our rates were locked in as long as we remained members.  Given that they have increased our rates, an increase of 50% for my wife and 33% for me seems excessive.Additionally, I would have liked a commitment to not continue with deceptive marketing practices, though I don't know if they are continuing to do so.
