If they wanted to they could quite easily take me out of the system completely so no further payment would be required. There reference to contract terms signed are not valid considering the associate in person told me specifically that I could leave "whenever I wanted with no charge". Very misleading, misguided business practice.Regards,[redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I do reject 24 Hour Fitness' pat response to my complaint because it totally refuses to take responsibility for how these $750-$29 a year plans were sold - to wit, in ways that a practically deceptive in a context that is a textbook example of exploiting customers through "information asymetry". In that 30 minute selling session 24 Hour Fitness was holding all the information cards and chose to conceal a substantive aspect of this deal. To wit, if  the  price aspect ($29/year) was a big point of what [redacted]  of [redacted] 24 Hour  Fitness was selling, why  wouldn't she overtly reveal that 24 Hour Fitness reserved the right to raise the $29/year rate anytime after 3 years. Hiding that fact in small print on the back of page 5 of the contract is not consistent with a corporation that does not want to be associated with shady, if not deceptive marketing. Responding with a corporate "oops!" and keeping the thousands 24 Hour Fitness raised  by this shady-if-not deceptive marketing ploy  just confirms that 24 Hour Fitness is not meaningfully sorry about a marketing campaign that it says it has abandoned ([redacted], the customer service representative who called me back on Monday 06/21/15 said the corporation was not selling these plans this way anymore.)Again, the price change clause was of such significance that 24 Hour Fitness should have done what car rental companies do with significant clauses of a rental agreement: to wit have their staff (in my case) [redacted]) read the clause and have customers initial it to make sure that the practical deception that happened here doesn't happen. The reading and initialing of that material clause never happened - hence my complaint.Finally, the $750 that I paid 24 Hour Fitness in 2007 plus the $29 yearly dues that I have paid the corporation between 2007 and 2014, plus the $79 this year boils down to $9 to $10 a month - which is going rate for most, if not all, budget health clubs around here ([redacted], [redacted], [redacted], [redacted]),. Now given that fact, why wouldn't  I just go to those gyms instead of put up with the practical deception that occurred here? 24 Hour Fitness' pat/form response, doesn't come close to addressing my complaint or explain why an international brand like 24 Hour Fitness would want to be associated with shady marketing of this nature.24 Fitness should continue with the $29/year plan that their employee, [redacted] sold in 2007 - or just give me back my $750 and cancel the current membership.

Pursuant to your membership agreement with 24 Hour Fitness, your membership is eligible for an annual renewal increase after the first 12- month renewal term immediately following the initial prepaid term. Please note that this increase was not a decision which we took lightly. However, it was an important and necessary step to ensure we provide all of our members with a clean, friendly, well-maintained club experience. 
We are unable to comply with your request to reduce your annual renewal. However, we do believe that even with the increase, you are still getting a great value at a highly competitive rate. 
We thank you for being a member and wish you continued success with your future fitness goals.

PS. 24hourfitness  can reach me via email at [redacted] with written correspondence Regarding the return of funds that was taken from my account.  Furthermore, I  have already...submitted written statement and attached documentation, in regards to the issues that I had experience at 24 hourfitness.  And to which, have been filed with the Revdex.com.  (1) the 24hourfitness new member orientation terms of agreement and cancellation procedure.(2) A detailed description of my claims,  and submitted a notice of cancellation within 3 business days of becoming a member.Respectfully submitted by [redacted]

You obviously haven't stepped foot in the [redacted] Sport club!!! It is probably the filthiest gym I've ever been in!! Along with equipment and items always broke (i.e. Drinking fountains, urinals, vending machines). Along with weights EVERYWHERE!!! It has been brought to the attention of the staff, club manager and district manager, with no resolution! Nobody seems to care of cleanliness of safety of the members!! Staff has no pride in their workplace!!!
