services at our Lexington Hamburg locationPer the membership agreement that was signed in the salon by Ms***, all Sun Tan City memberships require at least one automatic payment before the client is able to cancel the membership and there are no refunds for unused servicesAs of October 9th, Ms***’s membership with Sun Tan City was terminatedA refund request was submitted, but was denied due to not refunding for unused servicesWe will be able to extend the clients package once she returns to Sun Tan City. Loyal customers are the key to any company’s success so it is my hope that Ms*** will continue to utilize our servicesI have appropriately noted Ms*** concerns and have forwarded them to the proper management team to ensure they are addressedSincerely, *** *** Director of Client Services

The problem is that I have to buy a package before they will allow me to use any of my money. I cannot use my money toward the 1st package I have to buy or spend it on one of their VERY over priced items in the store. This is not how this program was explained to me or to my friend that has done the same thing. I tried to file a review on their website however it does not allow for comments. That area is lightened the only area that is allowable to push is "cancel". I found this interesting because so many of the reviews already posted on the Suntan city website are negative. Is there a way that they can now block reviews to stop the negative ones? I don’t know however I cannot comment about my experience on their site. Many other women were dissatisfied the day I attempted to unfreeze my money. The problem is that many/most will not follow through as I do and file reports against them because it is time consuming. Suntan city has a bad reputation in the Prospect/Goshen end of Louisville. We have reviewed the complaint from Ms. [redacted] regarding her membership purchase with Sun Tan City. On June 27th, 2017 Ms. [redacted] purchased a month to month open-ended membership agreement that allowed her once per day tanning for $79.99 per month plus tax. As noted in the membership agreement, signed by...

Ms. [redacted], all memberships with Sun Tan City are open-ended so payments will continue until the membership is cancelled or frozen and there are no refunds for unused services. Ms. [redacted] utilized her membership monthly until September 30th, 2017 when her membership was cancelled. Also, in July Ms. [redacted] purchased upgrade points, Buy 50 Get 100, that would allow her to utilize the dark and/or hydration options in our Sunless tanning option. Ms. [redacted] used the upgrade points that were paid for therefore there is no refund she is eligible for. The remaining upgrades and Sunless visit will remain on Ms. [redacted]'s account with Sun Tan City and can be used with any active membership. We hope this helps Ms. [redacted] and she considers using our services again in the future.

We have received and reviewed the complaint issued by [redacted] regarding her account with Sun Tan City.On January 28th, 2017 [redacted] purchased a month to month open-ended membership agreement with Sun Tan City that allowed her up to once per day tanning access. As noted in the membership...

agreement that Ms. [redacted] signed on the date of purchase, no refunds for unused services will be approved. However, as of May 4th, 2017 [redacted] membership with Sun Tan City was cancelled and it was agreed that a Glow Card would be submitted for Ms. [redacted] in the amount of $35.84. This Glow Card has been approved and emailed to [redacted]It is our hope that this resolves [redacted]'s issues and she chooses to utilize services again in the future.

On March 15th, 2016 Mr. [redacted] purchased a twelve month open-ended agreement that allowed them once a day tanning services at our Frederica location for $34.99 per month plus tax. As of May 4th, 2016 Mr. [redacted]’s membership with Sun Tan City was terminated. Per the document that we have on file for Mr. [redacted], April was her first required payment. In order to process a refund request for Mr. [redacted]’s membership, we would need a proof of relocation to where there is no Sun Tan City within a 30 mile radius. Loyal customers are the key to any company’s success so it is my hope that Mr. [redacted] will continue to utilize our services. As of December 4th, 2015 we issued Ms. [redacted] a refund of $210.75 that we mailed via check, and we issues Ms. [redacted] a glow card request of $210.75 that was also processed as of the second of December. Per the signed agreement that we have on file for Ms. [redacted] these are our best options for her. It states that we do not refund for unused services, and we offered her the half and half option as a courtesy.

As of today, I have NOT received any email from this company regarding the GLOW card. Therefore...once again I am trying to nicely ask for the money to be refunded. If they can't get the promised GLOW card delivered successfully after this much discussion, it further confirms my questioning the business practices.

We would be more than happy to provide Ms. [redacted] a copy of her signed membership agreement, stating to those terms that she agreed to. As a courtesy, we submitted the half and half refund request. If we would submit for a full request, it would be denied, due to the signed agreement that is on file. Or we can submit for the full request to be placed onto a Glow Card.

I was told by an online chat agent and a rep in the store that I should of only been charged $5 and that's all there system showed I was charged. If I could send them a copy of my bank statement showing I was charged $29 then they will refund the $29. I have the print out of the agent chat. I sent her the information and now this man says they don't refund and I need to call my bank. That ridiculous. The $5 came out a day before the $29. If you can deduct random charges from my account you can put those same funds back. I satisfied my end of this agreement and I can tell you I will make sure that on every social media platform people know how crooked this company is.

refund. Another option we have, we can submit for a GlowCard, which is a never expiring gift card. We hope this this resolves Mr. [redacted] issue.

I did find it in my spam folder.  I am still not satisfied since reviewing the complaints on file they have gotten so many on this very topic but they seem to continue their practices. I also think I should have gotten a resolution of a refund to my credit card since that seems to have been a resolution they have done on several complaints but I will drop it I suppose

I have received and reviewed the complaint from Ms. [redacted] regarding her membership purchase with Sun Tan City. On April 20, 2016 Ms. [redacted] purchased an annual membership with Sun Tan City totaling $524.99. This membership provided Ms. [redacted] with once per day tanning access to all...

levels of equipment at Sun Tan City for a full calendar year from the date of purchase. Effective July 12, 2016, all Sun Tan City locations in the market were purchased and now operate as [redacted]. Ms. [redacted]’s membership will be honored by [redacted]. However, if she wishes to cancel her membership, we understand [redacted] will honor that request.

We have reviewed Ms. [redacted]’s complaint and have reviewed the account. In order for us to submit any kind of refund, we would have to have proof from the bank that a dispute was not filed. Otherwise this would now be something that we would handle with the bank, once we are contacted. Ms....

[redacted] signed up on June 2, and her first required payment would have been July 1st. Any time after that payment was pulled, client was eligible to cancel or freeze that membership. We show no attempt from the online account of cancellation. Client can send in proof of the dispute being dropped to [redacted], and we can look into further options to solve Ms. [redacted]’s issue.
