The inducer motor on my furnace (~yrs old) went out on a cold Sunday morning I called Harriman Heating's emergency line, left a message, had a call back within minutes, and had a technician (Rob) out in only a couple hours He was very professional and upfront about the costs and my options He had my furnace up and running again after a short trip to the supply house I was very satisfied with the service and would recommend this company to anyone
My furnice pilot light kept going outI called Harriman, the first guy said it was a coil, which he replacedIt worked for a few daysThen the problem returnedThe next guy said it was a part in front which the gas flows to the pilot and the motor should be changed, but had to order partsIt worked for about a week, then stopped working again,so I called for them to order partsWhen they came they replaced the motor with a new motor but not the front part that they said they would be changing alsoI was also told air could be coming from roof vent causing the pilot to go outIt wasn't checked but I received a call after they left saying that I would have to go on roof to check it??? The "new" motor worked for a few days before even that stopped workingThe next guy from Harriman to come out, now says that the flame in furnace burned a hole in the side of the furnace and the entire furnace would have to be replacedI did see a hole there but why didn't the other Harriman guys see this and just say all these other parts needed replacing??
I made an appointment with Harriman for an estimate on adding air ducts to my home - the previous owners had put an addition on without adding air ducts to the new roomsWhen I made the appointment, I clearly explained that the rep would have to go into our crawlspace under the house to look at the existing duct work and what would be neededThey said ok and made an appointment for 1/8/- knowing it was still winter in Michigan
