I signed up for security service over a year ago from Safe Home Security I pay $a month for the service I had an alarm, and no one at Safe Home called me or responded when I called them In fact, their phone was disconnected I emailed them, and got no response My code number failed to register and the alarm went off for five minutes

I am working with *** *** ***They want to continue the service for this account as long as we fix a key pad that is not mounted due to renovationsI spoke *** who has my direct contact information and we will be in contact to

During the installation of the security system, the customer stated they wanted to add two more devicesThere is normally an increased charge for this, instead the customer signed a longer term agreement to receive the two devices at no
charge.
If the customer is moving from the home, we would be happy to look into transferring the service to they're new address.

I am rejecting this response because:
I was told
the only way to cancel was threw the mailI sent a letter canceling the end of sepand I was charged again today 12-5-So now I have months of charged to be refundedI was not in contract when I canceled and they are saying they didn't revive my first cancellation noticeI believe that's a lieReguarless this proves my case that they are in the wrong because even after telling you I was cancelled they still took money out of my account TODAYI won't settle for less then what I deserve.

While visiting the residence of my Mother April 2016, Derek employee of Safe Home Security of office in Winston Salem, NC was verbally informed by both & her daughter (caregiver) the security necklace pendant DID NOT connect or summons the local Emergency Medical Service after Mother had fallen on her back deck outside late evening of September 19, Derek was verbally informed of this grievance and termination of service with Safe Home Security was desired by Mother since the pendant did not function & summons for emergency help she greatly needed that evening Mother was years of age during this time After Mom pressed the pendant button after she had fallen, she was an unable to stand to her feet After waiting for help an unknown period of time Mom realized help from EMS would not arriving she began to crawl on her hands and knees to go back inside here home where she was able to get & use her telephone to call meSince they reside closer to my mother, I called my sister & brother-in-law to go assist herMy sister's & myself were and have been extremely upset about this occurring incident concerning our MotherIt has been real unnerving for my sister & myself the lacks attitude from representatives of SHS IncWe feel SHS Inc owes compensation to our mother, when this company continues to insists she owes SHS money, this is NOT TRUE & UNJUST!!! Fact is SHS Inc should be held accountable to reimburse Eloise for 14-months for the "service" she paid (by a monthly draft) to SHS since the security system at Kannapolis, NC was not active nor monitored! Sister caregiver & Mom were told by a SHS rep she would consider giving a credit of one month, this was an insult, plus no one from SHS ever followed through with any concern or offers to understand or help with the unjust continuous charges from SHS IncOur Mother will turn years old in February, she was 1/years old at the time of her unfortunate accidentIt is very possible she could have very well died on her deck outsideA Termination of service request was written & signed by Mother & submitted by Randy A and FAXed to Michelle at Safe Home Security home office at listed address on June 28, Fax confirmation was verified by a follow up phone call to Michelle immediately after papers were FAXed to Safe Home Security officePer advice of Derek with Safe Home Security office located in Winston Salem, NCOur family are at our "Wits End" with company, Safe Home Security IncA cancellation HAS NOT been considered after September after 90% of the contractual agreement was reached

I am rejecting this response because:
Clearly, the cancelling of the contract did not occur or was not processed all the way, as the initial charge was never refunded and I was instead forced to dispute the charge with my credit card companyI also never received any correspondence from the business (even after sending two certified letters and email), confirming that the contract is in fact cancelled, as it is expectedBoth of those steps should have occurred within business days after receiving the cancellation notice, according to FTC regulationsAnd even if the contract is now finally and officially cancelled (still require written proof of that, on a company letterhead), I'm still stuck with a system that is locked down with a custom installer PIN, not allowing me to maintain my own system properlyAs stated before, we already owned the system before attempting to switch monitoring to SSH/SSI, simply allowing SSH/SSI to utilize itThe installer who switched out the communications module (I think his name was something like "Drew") seems to have changed the installer PIN and we need to know that PIN in order to change/remove/update any sensors

We have had them for years..In the last year we have had many issues and we can't seem to get them resolvedPeople who work for them will not return calls or emailsThey don't care for their customers

If you are looking for a company that will bill AFTER you have ended your contract, then this business is for you They are crooks and should be shut down for fraud The service doesn't work half the time and then they want to charge you to come out and fix it So when you've had enough of that and cancel your contract they continue to bill you That's right for day after Then they tell you that it's their right to do so I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy

I have been calling this company since July 22, to get a someone to come fix my system ( which has not worked since the end of May It is Dec 5,and I still have not gotten the system fixed After calling them twice a week since July, I stopped payments Oct 21, I have received two letters from them about this action and I have responded by calling them back trying to get someone to talk to me I have yet to get a call back from anyoneThis company is one of the worse I have ever had to deal with..Now they sent me a bill for $that they want me to pay and they won't even get someone to fix it, NOT going to happen I would never recommend this company to anyone

In terms of information that was reported to the credit agency, Safe Home Security should send updated information to the agency indicating that a billing error was involved since the account was requested to be closed long ago (attached is an example of communication that was sent to them in 2014)

I am writing in response to the ongoing issue with ** *** As you are aware, she was installed on Jan 6, as a residential customer. At the point of sale, ** *** neglected to mention to me that this account needed to be a commercial or that what she required was a fire system installed not an alarm system
On the date of installation she had signed a RESIDENTIAL contract upon completion of installation. I had returned to her residence on several occasions thereafter to install a smoke detector and to move smoke detector to another location in residence. I am also aware that there was an installation survey completed by the RI office. Not at any point in time during these encounters did she mention that there was an issue with the type of contract or system that was installed
It seems to me once ** *** failed her fire inspection is when these problems were brought to our attention. If in fact she would have mentioned me on any of these occasions what was required, I would have informed her, as your office had, that we do no install the type of system that she required. It is my understanding that SHS customers do in fact have a day right of cancel so it boggles my mind after months of service why this has become an issue.These issues could have been resolved on any occasion I had contact with her if it was brought to my attention at those times by simply canceling service and removing system

Very dishonest, and bulliesFor weeks I didn't hv an alarmThey promisedyo send a techsI was able to fix it myself and the I get a Renewal dates 2/16/I wrote a letter and cancel allowed them to get paid for March Now I get a letter stating that my contract is not up until dec I joined April 2012, they had to come out to change a sensor in December Since the renewal contract said 2-I opted out The salesman was downright belligerent I ask to work out 50/where I pay for months and be done and was told noI tried to call the director and instead he had the same salesman call me to give me a lesson in contracts This company is UNPROFESSIONAL Bullies
