Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:$950 doesn't alleviate pain, I'd still have to find a new monitoring service and pay them for what I'm paying you all for . These door to door  representative need to be prosecuted,  they  say whatever to get you to unknowingly sign a FIVE year agreement. Upon signing the agreement I asked the sales rep if moves were free because I was renting and I knew I'd be moving and he stated they were free. No one can ever say they'll never move because you don't know what tomorrow holds. Then to get here three years later after already moving once and now initiating another move you don't guarantee moves. You can't provide a system , you're offering no monitoring service , and you won't cancel the contract but you expect me to honor an agreement that I get absolutely no benefit from--it makes zero sense. Cancel the contract or install a new system for free. This is a shady business that hires shady people to wave an agreement in someone's face yet refuses to provide the services in the agreement. I've paid you all faithfully without monitoring service for 18 months along with the 18 months with no missed or late payments and this how you all treat your customers. Shame on you Safe Home Security.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Beware of this company for their unethical business practices. I got stuck with a 36mos. contract, ending this May 2015, which they told me I automatically renewed for another year.
My story started when two of their sales person knocked on my door claiming they were running a special promotion in my area for a limited time. That promotion included free equipment to those who participates in their marketing campaign, which was to place their company logo in front of the house.
After researching this supposedly exclusive promotion, I found most companies offer the equipment and signage (logo) for free. As a new home owner and their aggressive sales tactic, I fell for it. I called to cancel my service after seeing the 36th payment posted on my credit card. However, I was told a written notice must be received 60 days prior to the expiration date or else it automatically renew for 12 months.
How must I give 60 days notice, yet they don't give reminders. I called in November, December, and January to be proactive, but nothing happened at those times because of their delay strategy. Its too soon they said. I'll give you a better deal they said. Give it another month they said. Just call me directly to cancel they said. Then, time passed 60 days and no written letter they said.
Luckily, I did write an email in January, but I got the email address wrong. Hopefully, it's good enough. The person I spoke to at the cancellation number had no sympathy. Rather than handling account closures, he kept on pushing for a deal to make a sale. No respect!
Please help me cancel this contract. This contract should not be enforceable due to false claim (Promissory Estoppel).

To Whom It May Concern,
As stated in [redacted] agreement it is the customer's responsibility to call in at least once per month to test their security system to ensure all zones are communicating correctly.
If a burglary occurred in the [redacted] residence, this is the first time [redacted] has ever stated anything of that nature to our company. This instance is the exact reason why we request customer's to regularly test their alarm system.
As stated in our previous response once $79.98 is paid, the account will go to close once that payment is received.
Sincerely,

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Until I receive in writing on their company letterhead that the policy has been cancelled as of April 30, 2016 and we owe nothing, I want the complaint to remain opened.  They are stating it will be done but there is no proof that it has been done as of today.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Where do I begin?! 1st off the field agent knocked at my door, misrepresented himself as an [redacted] affiliate & offer my husband & I an upgrade. He had all our information & convinced us that with this upgrade we would have a better piece of mind. Considering there were many reported break-ins on our block, we decided to jump at the chance for better security. Well NOT TRUE at all. My home was broken into 6days ago with alarm & motion detector enabled, but no police dispatch was issued until I arrived home & reported it to Safe Home. We were told by customer service rep that a technician would be out in 24hours. Well after 24hours I CALLED & was then told someone would be there the next morning for sure...Well no one arrived again, I then asked to speak to a supervisor but was told they were not in the office & was sent to voice-mail. Finally a dispatcher called later that evening & said that a technician would be there in an hour...Well THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN! I called the next morning mortified at this point & was told by rep that a technician would be out in a few days because its now the weekend & I can leave a message for the supervisor. Monday morning came, still no technician or return phone call, so I called Safe Home back again (11am) & rep told me he can have a technician out tomorrow & still there were no supervisors to speak with. Finally, supervisor calls apologizes, offers a month free & tells me that a technician will be out later that evening...needless to say, its now Tuesday & still NO TECHNICIAN! I asked to cancel services & was told that I would have to pay over $3,000 for early termination even though they're not honoring their part of the deal....Crazy I Know!!!

To Whom It May Concern,
If [redacted] is able to provide us with proof she sent a cancellation letter in January, Safe Home Security will honor her cancellation request at this time. A time-stamped and dated email, or fax, or tracking # will suffice for proof.
Sincerely,

According to our notes the customer had another company install a system.  We are not releasing her from her obligation.  We either flip back at her cost and she honors remainder of agreement or she pays tehe buyout.

To Whom It May Concern,
We have explained our stance on this matter several times. Any further correspondence is only being redundant.

THE LAST PAYMENT DUE ON THE TERMS OF THE AGREEMENT OF 5/16 WAS RETURNED FROM THE BANK, UNPAID, WHICH CAUSED A BANK FEE AS WELL AS THE REPORT TO THE CREDIT AGENCY. WE WILL WAIVE THE PAYMENT DUE AND A CREDIT REPAIR/UPDATE HAS BEEN SUBMITTED TO THE AGENCIES. PLEASE ALLOW 30 DAYS FOR IT TO BE REFLECTED...

ON THE CREDIT REPORT.

To Whom It May Concern,
The complaint the [redacted]'s are making does not have all the correct details listed. The [redacted]'s contract was due to expire September 23rd, 2016 as long as a cancellation letter was received 60 days prior to the expiration date(no later than July 23rd,...

2016).
The [redacted]'s did not call until August 11th, 2016 to cancel their services. At that point, per the contractual obligation the [redacted]'s signed, the account was to renew for another year of monitoring. The [redacted]'s did not send a cancellation letter to Safe Home Security until 09/20/2016. Making the account eligible for cancellation September 23rd, 2017.
Ms. [redacted] did speak with a Manager named Joseph, who made a decision to have the account processed for cancellation early. The normal processing period for cancellation is 60 days.
The [redacted]'s should not see anymore withdrawals from there account after this month.
At this time there are no refunds due.
Sincerely,
Colin W[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I do not wish to have this service any longer, I should not be forced to stay in a contract (which I originally fulfilled) for a service that has not and will not be used.  My mother is the resident of the house and has been for the past 10 years, she may have given authorization to continue service but I surely did not.  Please advise how we can cancel the service immediately?  The house is vacant as of August 1.  I sent an email on 07/27/16 requesting cancellation to [redacted]
An email request was also sent in January when we realized we were still being charged for this service.  I believe there is a class action suit that has been brought against this company for similar concerns.  Please tell me how much money you want to terminate service.  Is this really the way you do business?
Sincerely,
Michelle Lieberman

This company abuses and commits fraud on the elderly. In my opinion this company violates the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, commits wire fraud and abuses the elderly. They harass those they violate repeatedly. Would not recommend any dealings with this company.

WE HAVE COME TO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CUSTOMER THAT  IS SATISFYING TO BOTH PARTIES.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:  the tech came out today and is going to come back in a few weeks to take care of everything.  the tech assessed everything and I'm going to wait for the job to be complete to write back in.  I did speak with SHS today and they will continue to email me for communication
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

A year would equate to  12 months x 49.99= 599.88. If that is acceptable as a resolution, upon receipt of payment, any adverse credit will be repaired.

To Whom it May Concern,
[redacted] did not state a clear rejection in his previous statement.
Safe Home Security abides by the contract the customer signed with [redacted] Security. That contract does not state [redacted] has a warranty. As offered in the previous response, we will offer a one time no charge service call of the system.
The reason [redacted] technicians were at the home in April is because [redacted] and Safe Home Security remain in a business with one another. If [redacted] requires service as stated previously, Safe Home Security will be sending an [redacted] Tech from that area.
We have stated our stance on this matter in our previous response.
Sincerely,
Colin W[redacted]

To Whom it May Concern,
I am unsure why [redacted] is rejecting this resolution as Safe Home Security has honored her desired resolution of closing her account at the end of this month. No further billing or action is required by Ms. Powers. The account will be closing April 30th as requested.
We ask The Revdex.com to close this complaint as resolved, as all the requests of [redacted] have been met by Safe Home Security.
Sincerely,
Colin W[redacted]
