To whom it may concern,
Mrand Mrs*** called in on Friday February 19th to confirm the cancellation letter was received, pay the buyout of the account, and make a complaint regarding a situation they felt they were mislead onThe individual who fielded the call confirmed the
cancellation letter was receivedHe also notated the complaint the customer was making, forwarding it to the needed parties for reviewThe customer also voluntarily paid the buyout of the account in the amount of $279.92.
As of Today, February 22nd, Safe Home Security has not ran the payment taken on Friday February 19th, in the amount of $In reviewing the complaint made Friday, Safe Home Security has opted to not run the payment, but to close the account without penalty.
This was decided upon review of the complaint, as well as the customers impeccable payment history and long tenure as a loyal customer.
As of today the account for *** *** at *** *** *** *** ** *** has been closed, and no further obligation is required.

I've had this monitoring company for the past year and it's been nothing but headachesThey scammed me into another contract binding me into contracts, one with them and the other with ***They had a salesman from *** *** *** come to my house and inform me that Safe Home Security just bought over *** and they have the new and upgraded panels for meIf I chose to stay with the old panel, then my bill would drop by $/monthBut he recommends that I get the newer panel because it’s the latest and has more featuresI went with the new panel and later found out that I was in different contractsWhen I called ***, they told me that I was in a year contract with them and cannot just terminateI called Safe Home Security and they told me that they will not end my contract because I signed an agreement for yearsLater on I found out that *** *** *** was supposed to pay me a severance check to pay off ***, but never didSo for over a year I’ve been paying different Alarm Companies and neither wants to end my contract………

After many sales calls to renew our contract, I finally signed a contract for monthsThat was September 17, I wanted to change the monitoring to my cell phone instead of my land line An appointment was set up for the install, but no one showed up and no phone call It took a number of calls to the Account Manager to find out why and was finally told that the upgrade to my system has to be ordered The Account Manager told me several times that it had been ordered, then when it didn't arrive I was told it was going to be ordered again When it finally came I called to set up an installation and a week later I got a call from the technician and he said he couldn't get there for another week and would I send him a picture of current system and a picture of what was sent to replace it The day before he was scheduled to come, he called to say he had car problems and wouldn't make it until the following day After he spent three hours trying to make it work, he concluded that they had sent me a faulty part and it would have to be reordered and that it should only take a couple of days That was a week and a half agoNow I'm told that it was just ordered and being shipped to the technician who will contact me when he gets it He seems to be the only technician for half of Texas which is a very large area So now it is Novand still no system that is monitored

contract".

Wow, I wish I would have checked here firstI got this service in I notice they had a lot of 3rd party connections that I thought took a lot of time to get back with me when I needed assistanceIn oct of my service failed to workAfter calling I was told someone would get back with me in a WEEKThis seemed like a long time to me especially now my family is at risk due to no alarm systemAfter a week I received no callI called back and was told I need to wait another week to get assistanceThat Friday I called another company *** and they were out that Saturday to install a new systemA week later I was called and ask why my service was not workingI told them I had to get someone else to secure my propertyThey then decide to tell me that I was going to receive months of free service for being a loyal customerA month later I was informed by mail that even though they did not service my home within reasonable time I would still owe for the remaining months After calling them and explaining what took place and that they said they would give me months of free service they said they only applied if I stayed with them and that I still owed them for the months even though they failed in their agreement to secure my homeThey even had the nerve to tell me that I should have informed them of the company I go to secure my home so they could connect with them and have them install it under them so I could keep the contract with themVery bad negative experienceThere have been other poor customer service situations but this one was the one that made me say I have had enough

this company uses third party vendors to viciously harass you on a daily basis even if you tell them to remove you from the calling list I tried everything to get them to stop but they still continued I could not get a returnable phone number or legitimate company or contact name I finally set up an appointment with an installer just so I could get the name of the company using the third party vendor A company that uses this kind of tactic in such a harsh way to make sales is criminal After contacting safe home security, they denied using any third party vendors to make sales calls Would you want a company like this protecting you home and loved ones

This company does it's best to make it impossible to stop the serviceThey don't answer phone calls and when you leave a message it is never returnedEven after finally getting in contact with someone they come up with some fine print that says they don't have to cancel your service until months after you are finally able to get them to stop the serviceThen they try and offer incentives to stay with them that they didn't offer until you cancel the service Their website is totally uselessAfter spending time trying to change things on the site that never actually happens you have to contact the company by phone which of course is usually not answeredThey are expensive and their equipment is not up to date with what you can get from other companies

I am rejecting this response because:
Again, my mother had dementia and did not have the mental capacity to enter into a contract with Safe Home Security. She never understood what she was doing or even how to operate the security system. It wasn't until I had the ability to get into her bank account that I noticed the charges that were going through to Safe Home Security and stopped them. I never told anyone at Safe Home Security that the house had been sold, only that my mother was no longer living in the house -- she is now in a nursing home. The security system had been disconnected a while back. In fact as an example of her inability to make these types of decisions, she signed up for another security system with ADT in the past months. I had to cancel that system as well. She was not of sound mind. I refuse to pay the cost on the remainder of the contract because she did not legally have the ability to enter into the contract due to the dementia. As far as I'm concerned your company took advantage of an elderly person with dementia who could not make these types of decisions. I've read many comments online and apparently your company does this type of thing quite frequently. My mother will not be taken advantage of! And this "Karen" individual was supposed to call me about the system over a week ago and she never did. I refuse to contact this company again -- all I get is the runaround, answering machines, or most recently I WAS HUNG UP ON. As far as I'm concerned this case is closed. No further payments will be made.

Worst company I have ever dealt with years, service calls (which they charged me $for 1) and my system is still a piece of (&*^*&^ I am willing to part ways and cut my losses but they want me to pay them to get out of contract DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

It seems like a simple enough businessMonitor the alarms, answer phone calls, collect moneyUnfortunately this company only manages to do one of those thingsHow hard is it to return a callWe tried to add cameras to our systemWe wanted to give them more money! They still can't return a callStarted checking their reputation outWow! Why is this company still in business

I was a safe home customer for about yearsI called to make a service call to add sensorsWe made an appointment and we were told a service rep would be there between 8:00am and 12:00pmMy wife took the morning off from work and nobody showed upSo later that day my wife called them and asked why nobody showed upThey said without any kind of apology that they did not have us on the service scheduleSo we made another appointment and I stayed home this time only to get a call around noon by the tech who said his truck broke down and was not going to make the callI called and spoke to a manager who was very rude so I told them to cancel hey told me I had still two months on my agreementI ask the questionI have been with safe home for over five years with a two year agreement so why can't I cancelAgreement auto renews! So I asked what do I need to do? They said I need to give day noticeIt was early February and my agreement was up in April 21stI did not want to pay these people another penny! So I told them to cancel my acct and send me the billThey said ok and never cancelled my acctA couple of months later I got a bill for about They auto renewed me for another yearI called them to complain but was told that I did not cancel by letterNow trying to refinance my home ad it has been held up do to my credit hit by safe homeNow I'm faced with having to pay the bill so I can get my refinancing.I wanted to cancel because of their poor serviceI guess good service doesn't apply in the contractMy bad for thinking I signed a two year agreementLeeson learned read the agreementI would not recommend this company to anyone!! Over years with outstanding credit and I get hit by safe home on my credit report! Oh by the way I have a ### with the hit!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I was told by one representative that my contract had expired and needed to reviewI sent in a email request as instructed and DAYS later and after installing ANOTHER company's system I receive a letter (by snail mail) stating that my contract didn't expire for another yearI call the office and almost a WEEK later I receive a call basically saying Oh, WELL!!! They've already gotten their equipment backNEVER called to ask why the connection had been broken NOTHING!!

First of all, this account was and has never been discussed as a business accountIf it were then it would have been set up for a business accountSecond, the customer only requested a alarm and then added a smoke detector as a
after thoughtthe smoke detector was set up in her kitchen, she later call in to have the smoke removed from her kitchen to her closed in garage, never once stated nor indicated that this is what was needed to pass a fire inspectionThird if this was for a business and needed to pass a fire inspection, why would it take over seven months to get a fire inspection and discover this is not what you needed to pass inspectionI don't know what when she conducted a fire inspection with the Fire Marshall, but I do know that if you trip the smoke that the fire department will be dispatched, But she stated that she call into the company to test the system, and that might be the reason that she was called back and the fire department not dispatchedMrsHerrington was never misled and understood that she had three business days to cancel this contract, not six or seven monthsSafe Home Security and its reps, conducted itself in a professional manner from start to finish Lewis M***

This customer signed up for a system at they're residence at *** *** ** *** *** *** After the full installation was completed the customer stated she wanted to have more sensors put into her detached shedA price was agreed upon ($more per
month and $out of pocket)At that point a tech was sent to the home and the sensors were installed and in full working order.
A short time after the installation of the shed was completed, one of the shed sensors was having interruptions in signalsA tech was dispatched to diagnose the issue and found that because of the distance between the home and the shed, there were weak signals coming from the shedHe advised that a signal repeater would be needed in order to ensure the system in the shed would receive full communication of any alarm signalsThe customer was unwilling to pay the additional fee for the repeater.
At that point the customer made several complaints that the job was not completed and parts were not installedAll parts that were requested and agreed upon were put into the system.
In order to satisfy the customer and continue this business relationship, Safe Home Security is willing to waive the charge for the part and send the tech to the home to install a repeater at no charge.
