Pretty Bad - refuse to do business in writing
I accidentally clicked on an order, never getting a Submit Order button it went straight to
and order. I called to within an hour. They want a cancellation fee of 5 percent. Per their terms, I agreed. Although they were able to send the order in writing by email, they refuse
to invoice cancellations fees in writing by email. They refuse to invoice or put in writing the amount for a canceled order, but they do demand that a person give a credit card over the phone, a credit card they can fraudulently abuse if they want to. After discussing this business method with others, everyone agrees, a business that refuses to put in writing the terms and amount of cancellation, and a company that only wants to secretly negotiate with you o a phone call, and only if you give them personal information and a credit card, is a RED FLAG for fraud. No legitimate seller of goods services, sticks, bonds, or anything acts this way. Only suspicious and questionable people behave this way. They might actually fill real orders, but it is how they are handling the not so perfect orders that are a huge concern. They have zero competency at managing customers. Asking for our final amount due and invoice in writing and a secure and safe way to pay are not unreasonable. Any legitimate business would do this easily.

Rip off cancellation fees without any reasonable options!!!
This company is difficult and unreasonable to deal with if you don't pay in time. They will charge you 5% of your invoice even if they have no loss on the product. What is worse, they don't even try to be reasonable and work something out, it is like they want you to get cancelled when the spot price goes in their favor so they get to doubly rake you over.

Horrible customer service/will take your money
DO NOT ORDER YOUR PRECIOUS METALS FROM THIS COMPANY! I ordered 2 silver eagles a few months back and they informed me they would not be delivered until a month and a half later. Fast forward to when they were supposed to arrival and I never received them. I called and asked what happened and they told me there was nothing they could do because I had 3 days to report a lost package. 3 days, seriously? My order was estimated to be delivered a month and a half later with no exact date, but I only have a few days to report it if I never received it?!? My family and I have ordered from this company for a few years now, but we will no longer do business with a company that does not care about their customers. They will take your money and run, then blame it on their terms and conditions.

Cancellation Fee & threatening to send to collections
Very poor service. I contacted them by email when I noticed a order had been placed by mistake on my smartphone. I requested a cancellation and so I figured everything was taken care of. They are trying to charge me a 5% cancellation fee plus more and threatening to send to collections. I can't believe they treat their customers like this.

I just received my first order for some Trump 2020 coins. They are beautiful. This was my first time buying and the experience was so smooth. The customer service was definitely top notch and helped me so much. I have no ordered my second order and referred my mother. She has ordered also and I would definitely advise others to use this site.

I Love the selection and service. The verse on the inside of the package is very thoughtful and refreshing.

Great to deal with. Able to order small quantities and free shipping over 99.99! Nobody else is doing anything close to that. Shipping is fast too. Bought from them several times and had no issues. They have a lot of things in stock that nobody else does. My go to for silver and gold. Thanks guys!

Horrible company. I placed a rather small order at this "company" for under $3K worth of gold using PAY PAL because they advertise that they accept PAY PAL. I then heard nothing for over 24 hours to get an email telling me I needed to take time out of my day to send them a copy of my driver's license (front and back),MORE # CELL ,MORE EMAIL ADRESS to use a PAY PAL...I heard nothing. I had to follow-up with them AND I gave them my PERSONAL INFORMATION PER THEIR REQUEST to then get DENIED. So, now they have a copy of MY DRIVER'S LICENSE and I have NO ORDER. I got no rationale - no logical explanation as to why they DENIED service to me viaPAY PAL and I placed an order worth THREE TIMES that at another company on the same day. I only used them to get MORE metals using a PAY PAL . NO RESPONSE. AND THEY DENY THE GOODS WHEN THE PRICE OF THE METALS GO UP.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I FIND THAT ALL VERY FASCINATING. I better not have ONE ounce of a problem linked to fraud or any misconduct because I WILL KNOW EXACTLY WHERE IT CAME FROM AND I WILL TAKE ACTION. NEVER AGAIN.

Thank you for your feedback. SD Bullion has a fraud prevention team and they blocked both transactions as they were not able to verify either transaction. As across this industry, we reserve the right to cancel orders if we cannot verify the customer or the details of the order payment. There are certain requirements that each order must meet and unfortunately these orders were not able to be processed even after we reached out and ask for additional information. The Precious Metals industry is often a target for fraud so every order does go through a very strict process before it is processed.

Very quick turnaround.

My experience with SD Bullion was great - they over-delivered a bit on delivery (shipped same day payment was confirmed) and they were extremely responsive on chat and email - I was surprised how quickly they responded to emails, every time. I can't complain about anything which also means I can't even come up with any suggestions for improvement - I highly recommend them! Lastly, delivery was very discreet, kind of made me laugh, but given the amount of money involved, it's always good to know they go the extra mile to ensure a smooth, safe transaction.

I have tried 6 other bullion dealers, no one else compares to the speed and price of SD Bullion. Uses privacy packaging for you safety. Excellent company. Weekly deals are always a good choice. Very responsive with any issue. Highly recommend you try them.

On March 19,2020 I ordered 1 1oz Canadian maple leaf gold coins, and 10 1oz Canadian silver maple leaf coins from SD BULLION (#***). Payment was made via a certified cashier check. I was notified via email on or about March 31,2020 that shipment was anticipate to arrive at provided address on April 6,2020. Unfortunately Due to the corona pandemic on April 2,2020 I lost all means of awareness and communication. On about April 27,2020 *** contacted SD bullion about the order, and was informed that the order was delivered and signed for by me (***) on April 6,2020, which she informed them was impossible! *** contacted the Rincon,GA postal service about the alleged delivery and signing of the delivery. *** was informed by the supervisor that the carrier had been out for some time, but she would contact her about her log that stated that I had signed for receipt of the delivery. The supervisor got back with *** and informed her that she had spoke with the carrier and the carrier informed her that she remembered the house very well. She said she wrung the doorbell serval times, but no one answered. She stated that she heard noise and movement in the house. Therefore, due to the corona and her being behind, she signed my name herself and left the package on the porch assuming that someone would come out and get it. I nor *** received or saw any package on the porch! SD shipping language is clear. Which state that;All orders are shipped fully insured via of USPS,UPS,and FEDEX at the discretion of SD BULLION unless otherwise stated. Also, that that; "A signature will be required upon receipt of the package by the consumer at the discretion of SD BULLION unless waived by the consumer"
Also, it states that; "If your package is lost or damaged it will be the responsibility of SD BULLION to file a claim with their insurance company"
SD received full payment for my order, but I never received the product I paid for. Whether lost or stolen.

Desired Outcome

Replacement Shipping is the method that SD chose to have the product delivered. It is their responsibility and obligation to insure delivery. Rather the postal carrier delivered it or stolen it. The responsibility to investigate and replace the product falls on SD. The payment was my responsibility. It is not unusual for someone to not be home. Forging a person signature is a crime. Plus,it was SD duty to demand and insure the signature of the consumer.Also the merchandise must be fully replaced!

After such a long period of time, we are typically unable to investigate with the carrier to sort out what happened. Before I made an order, then posted payment in full. I went on line to read SD shipping and insured policy. The language was clear that order orders had to be signed for by the consumer, unless waived. And that the product was insured. I never waived signature for receipt of delivery. As the consumer, there as no agreement or guarantee as to how the delivery was to transpire. SD is responsible and had a agreement in place with the Post office as to how the delivery and receipt would transpire. The post office delivery log will reflect that the carrier forged my signature and left such a valuable package on the porch! This is in violation of SD s.o.p inregard to the delivery of a paying consumer product. SD is responsible for ensuring delivery of the consumer product after they have received full payment from consumer! Since I never received what I paid for and SD received payment. They are liable for what I order. Delivery to me what I paid for is the only recourse, due to the method that SD allowed to be carried out in regard to delivery, that denied me what I paid for.

On September 30,2020 the notarized lost property affidavit that was sent to me by SD bullion was completed and faxed back to SD per there instructions, along with the police report (i.e #2009-5100). I was informed that the above was needed within 72hrs before they could proceed with the insurance claim. I'm awaiting their response.

I received notice today from SD BULLION that they have reshipped my order that I never did receive. Therefore, if the order has been reshipped and when I receive it, I will be satisfied with the way they have upheld the language of their policy.

Trying to force me into paying for an order that I did not order. The order is for $58,000 dollars. I have had to cancel pay pal and ebay accounts
trying to threaten me with litigation on an order I didn't order. I had to have my bank account canceled and I had to cancel pay pal and ebay accounts for hacking of my accounts. I have explained that to S D Bullion with no results. They only threaten me with litigation and telling me that I will be charged 50% more if not paided. I cannot get it through there head that I did not order anything from them for $58,000 dollars. I am on S.S. and make 1,243 a month. I am tired of being threatened by S.D.Bullion.

I want them to understand that I did not order anything from them for 58,000 thousand dollars period. That my information was compromised and to stop threatening me

I do accept their offer to stop all collection attempts and to wave all fees associated with this order that I did not place to start with !!

Absolutely fantastic service. Called and SD Bullion listened to my goals and needs. Did not try to "bait & switch" to a different product. Did, however, suggest options to save some money and get more product. Super service throughout the process. Wire transfer simple & easy. Delivery very fast, on time and order was accurate.

SD Bullion is trying to make me pay for an order I did not place. Sent me Cancellation invoice for $128. These guys are bullies and fraudulent.
So far in 2020 i've placed 3 orders for various products with SD Bullion. All of these orders had been paid for by CARD, and they'd fulfilled with no issues. On 8/21/2020, I receive an "Order Cancellation" letter along with "Cancellation Invoice" for $126 for an unfamiliar order.

I called today to discuss this matter, and the lady patched me through to Collection Department. They are insistent that I was the one who placed this order. I DID NOT. I've always paid for my orders at checkout with a card method. SD Bullion said this order involved a personal check that was supposed to be mailed out. I told them this is not how I normally do business, and to please drop the cancellation fee. She refused, and advised that this will go to colelctions unless I pay up today.

I wish for SD Bullion to drop the $126 cancellation charge!

Sd bullion has agreed to reverse any cancellation charges.

SD Bullion will not provide to me their FedEx account info which FedEx requires for me to file a claim.
I ordered $485.38 worth of silver coins from SD Bullion 3/19/20 to be shipped to a p.o. box I had at Ben Franklin Station Wash. D.C. 20044. They decided to ship via FedEx instead of USPS. FedEx allows one *** to sign for the package--not the recipient on 3/24/20. I attempt to get assistance from SD Bullion in locating the package, at which time they ask me to track the package down myself. I also go to the post office and ask if there is one *** working there. They confirm no *** works there. I attempt to file a claim with FedEx at that time but FedEx requires SD Bullion's FedEx acct. #. A key factor in this discrepancy is that it happened during the inception of the pandemic, which limited my recourse options severely. I couldn't even get a SD Bullion Statement of Loss notarized due to the pandemic.

August 2020, I make a second attempt at getting assistance from SD Bullion in filing my FedEx claim. They inform me that the 5 month period where they are obligated to assist me has passed and refuse to offer any options would even allow me to follow up on this--the main sticking point being that a FedEx claim requires SD Bullions FedEx account # for and investigation to even begin.

SD Bullion refuses to do the absolute least to assist me in finding merchandise I purchased from them in good faith.

Desired Outcome

All that I require from SD Bullion is for them to, in the most secure for them way possible, provide their account # required as the first step of filing a FedEx lost package claim.

SD BULLION is threatening to send me to collections for no products or services received.
SD BULLION from the beginning threatened legal action and to send me to collections for non payment of 10,000 dollar gold order. Upon making the order I had money in my account ready to go, but during they're lengthy billing process I was forced to pull the money out of my account because of a financial problem my family I ran into. When I told them I could no longer afford the order they asked for a$1000 cancelation fee!- when I said that was crazy they said they'd take 500$ or that I would have to pay $1500 in interest and legal fees later. It literally took me 5 minutes to place the order and now because its not working out they want between 500$ and 1500$ for a product I never received. In these upside times when I'm sure this company is making millions on gold sales they are charging people exorbitant amounts of money for simply filling out an online order- It feels like extortion. Im a critically employed worker and was hoping to make an investment in gold- things things have changed rapidly for me and now Im just tryimg to keep my job and head above the water. It just seems like SD BULLION is going to charge people what ever kind of cancelation fees they can come up with because they want to. From the beginning the threats of being sent to collections or taken to court have made it very hard to want to do business with this company. My advice would be to deal with a local coin shop- trying to buy precious metals on line is a nightmare.

All trades locked with SD Bullion are locked trades regardless of pre-sale or delayed shipping as stated in our terms of service. This is standard across the industry as we hedge the market price at the same time you purchase from us. If the market price goes down and we do not receive payment for an order, our company loses money. In addition to hedging, there is also significant operational costs to back out of a trade. This is no different than if you purchase a stock off the stock exchange and decide to change your mind a week later because the price went down.

We also show that you had a bounced echeck on this in which you failed to supply the funds for this order. We reached out to the customer multiple times requesting correct information as well explaining our policy.

I have used SD Bullion's services for ALL my purchases since I found them back in 2014. They are always "above board" when it comes to any Pre-Orders of coins/bars "due in"...they do NOT charge any payment method until they can ship your entire order... OR, they communicate with you to honor your expressed wishes... Their actions speak louder than any words... Oh, and BTW, they service the entire North American area...always insured....

Anyone thinking about using their services for Gold or Silver purchases -- rest easy, you are in good hands AND their prices are always the lowest on the open market.
