I have purchased from SD Bullion on four separate occasions. I have been pleased with every purchase. The quality of the coins received has been commensurate with what is advertised/described on their website. Prices are fair and competitive. The on-line purchasing process is straight forward with free shipping for purchases over a $100. Phone conversations with customer service reps have been cordial and helpful. Highly recommend.

I placed 2 orders, one item appears tampered with on Order ***. 2nd order, ***, won't process until I send in my driver's license.

I placed the second order prior to receiving the first order.

Timeline: *** ordered 2 Silver Peace Dollars MS-66 and Alien Anniversary Coin on 26 Oct 417pm, Received 1213pm. 1 of the Peace Dollars had an incorrect label which stated it is 1924 S$1, when it is only 1924 $1. It did not have the San Francisco mint mark on the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) label of the hand plastic slabbed coin case with a grade of MS-66. I have attached their advertising which depicts only the obverse with the same issue, but not the reverse. I went to the NGC website to verify what SD Bullion was advertising as an example of the MS-66 Peace Dollars they offer for sale and its identifying label 3130765-004 (see attached PDF) but the S mintmark for San Francisco can not be seen either as the 1924 Peace Dollar that was shipped to me (1574970-003) did not have any photo attached to confirm the mint mark. The difference in value between a 1924 and 1924-S can be in the thousands. This false advertising should be removed since I received a coin and sent the pictures into SD Bullion confirming the label and coin mismatch. In addition, the plastic slab had two additional issues that indicated it may have been tampered with and that the edges did not have the triangles as NGC edges have on the slab's sides. These three issues were submitted to SD Bullion when they questioned the authenticity of my second order and demanded a copy of my driver's license with no means to send it securely to them. So my complaint falls into three issues for which I have provided documentation: 1) I was shipped and sold a Peace Dollar coin that clearly didn't meet NGC standards that was sold to me and in addition, I can prove their false advertising on their website matches the purchase I received, 2) SD Bullion refuses to process my second order from 29 October 2019 until I provide a copy of my driver's license which appeared as retaliation for filing a complaint since they provided no secure encryption means to do so, despite having no issue with processing the same credit card for the first purchase and no legitimate reason for the additional precautions on the second purchase of 4 additional MS-66 Peace Dollars; 3) SD Bullion sold MS-66 Peace Dollars with adhesive stickers attached so that the obverse and reverse cannot be observed to match NGC coin verification, this is not in their advertisement on the sale of these coins, nor is this necessary since all the necessary information was on the NGC labels.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking a replacement of the coin at the grade indicated on the label and elimination of the online misleading advertising, therefore portraying a truthful representation of the coin with the appropriate mint mark on sale without attached adhesive preventing the customer from verifying authenticity, as well as the fulfillment of the second order which should meet the conditions.

I have received the exchange of the coin today, 15 Nov 19, from SD Bullion and I am satisfied with the resolution associated with both of my orders. In addition, SD Bullion has resolved all issues related to this complaint and no further action is required.

Purchased a circulated Gold Buffalo for $1,535; spot price was at $1,399. Gold went up to over $1,500 in between that time so they decided to just send me a Buffalo with a copper spot that could not be removed. They claim that because it is circulated that they could not take an exchange for fear that I would just get the same quality coin and instead would only give me a refund, basically so then I would have to re-buy the coin at a higher price. Dishonorable! They should have honored me and my purchase instead of sending me a damaged coin. By their own actions they defrauded me and I lost my investment because the only thing I could do is return it and pay the bill for insurance shipping and envelope. I know that in the long run they will lose out a lot by losing my business because I am a very serious business man. They don't care, then I don't care. I am telling everyone I know. No matter how good a price you think is online they can't beat your local coin shop.

Our records show that this order was placed on 07/07/2019 for a Circulated Random Year Gold Buffalo coin. The description on the product page reads "Each Gold Buffalo coin contains 1 oz of pure 4 nine (.9999) fine Gold. Moreover, they carry legal tender values of $50 (USD) each. Random year coins may show normal signs of age and are sold in a circulated condition, however this does not affect their value."

Payment was received and processed in full as of 08/05/2019 and the order was shipped and delivered by 08/09/2019 according to tracking details (Please note: even though payment was received far outside the normal allotted time, the customer service team worked with the customer to keep this order open so the customer could retain the original spot price at which he purchased).

Our records then show the next correspondence was an email that included an image of the coin. At this point the image was reviewed by our quality control team who determined that there was no damage and that the very tiny copper spot on the coin was normal and expected for a circulated product.

Records show that our team replied by offering a full refund on the coin and we volunteered to waive the restocking fee. Our team also recommended the customer keep the coin. It was noted that with circulated coins - processing an exchange would potentially result in a coin of the same condition being delivered as a replacement, so our team offered the full refund in hopes to better serve the customer.

Our records indicate that the response to our email was a phone call on 08/09/2019 through which the customer expressed his dissatisfaction. The recording of this call reflects the customer stating that the associate assisting at that time was an "it" and that the associate could "go F right off"

The options for resolution that were offered to the customer fully adhere to our terms of use which were agreed to at the time of the order as well as our return policy, and were extended as solutions that fit the best interest of the customer.

The return was received 08/14/2019 and a full refund was processed 08/15/2019.

You all should have accepted an exchange. I wasn't happy with it. I tried to make a suggestion to your company that you all should accept credit card checks too and the lady I spoke to acted like she don't care and talks over me. Even though it says on your site that you are working on being able to accept credit checks. It's probably said that forever. This company doesn't care about you. They tell you that in another complaint. They serve so many people they don't care. Never spend a lot of money with them this is how you get treated. If you don't want a $1,.600 piece of gold to have spots on it don't buy their circulated pay a few more dollars and get the briliant uncirculated because clearly they are *** about how they treat their customers on exchanges on circulated gold and can f* off.

I've dealt with a few online billion dealers and Sd Bullion is one of the best in my opinion. My order was promptly delivered and securely and discreetly packaged as it should be.

SD Bullioin is charging me $50 fee because I filed for credit card chargeback for the order that didn't arrive.
Ii ordered approx. $2000 gold bar. SD Bullion shipped via USPS, but shipment got lost. SD Bullion didn't listen to me and kept insisting for me to wait, while my credit card has been charged. I didn't like their approach of resolving the issue and I filed chargeback for product I didn't receive.

I just received email stating "We received a charge back for this 07/09/2019. Since you were unwilling to follow our process for a lost package--which would have been much faster than filing a charge back a month later--your account has been suspended indefinitely and a balance of $50 to cover fees imposed on us because of this unnecessary charge back is due. "

Company is charging me $50 fee because I didn't follow their direction.

As a consumer I have right to file chargeback for the product/service I don't receive and the company is illegally charging me $50 fee.

Desired Outcome

Remove $50 fee company proposed and provide proof that $50 fee is not imposed.

Hello,

Our last email correspondence with Mr. was from nearly a month ago, we never charged this customer $50 which he can verify through his financial records.

The customer did perform a charge-back in the amount of $2,381.35 while there was a lost package claim pending on his order. This shipment was misplaced by the carrier. Regarding charge-backs:

Our terms of use reads exactly the following -

Any credit card charge-back will be subject to a minimum $50 processing fee. Processing fee may be charged to the credit card used to place the order or added to the user's account balance at SD Bullion's discretion.

In this scenario, we elected not to charge the customer the standard $50, and I am not sure why after a month we receive a complaint for allegedly charging a fee that never existed.

Company did not charge me $50 fee. I have opened case on Revdex.com because on below email I received, it states "balance of $50". Different representative (***) called and sent another email on the 8/5 to clarify that this will not be billed for as stated below. I am adding this comment to record the statement from the company that this will not be charged/billed for in the future. Thank you for resolving the issue.
