Is select home warranty offering us the $200.00 for the oven? We have not talked to them about the money for the service call because we were told to wait because if we signed anything from them then they didn't have to pay any other money. We will accept the $200.00 for the oven and $50.00 for the difference of the service call for a total of $250.00. Please let me know if they are in agreement with this.Thank you

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
However, this is the same response I have been receiving for months.
Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Buyer Beware; especially Sr Citizens:Sr Citizens Are their main target and easiest to con. When you purchase a home or even a car warranty from a honest company; you expect them to follow through and repair what is broken. After your basic fee, nothing else is owed. All except Select Warranty. Their sells people sell you a bill of goods and claim they do handle repairs. Pay the fee and everything else is covered. They even say that when they sell you the policy. Lot of small print and hidden language in their contracts; but still felt like why would the salesman lie. Shame on me!! Twice I called on repairs and twice I had to pay, because Select Warranty would only pay a certain percent of the bill. Their service advisors after checking around charge more than other repair shops and do not have the experience or knowledge to see the real issue. Example the ice maker. The ice maker was replaced, but I had to pay more than half the bill because Select warranty would only pay certain amount for an ice maker. Come to find out, ice maker was not the issue. Select warranty refused to pay any more and it was going to cost me almost $400.00 to repair the problem,. SO when Select warranty said they sent a repair company out to correct the issue, it is just another of their con games they pull. People need to be aware that Select Warranty is not a good company to work with and they target the Sr Citizens of the world with their deception and phony repair game.

On 1/19/2015 the customer contacted Select Home Warranty toplace a claim for an issue with their heating unit, we advised the customer tosecure their own technician, as it would be faster than the technicians in ournetwork. On 01/26/2015 we received an invoice from the customer fromthe technician...
they hired, it described the condition of the unit and whatneeded to be repaired. Select would only cover the 2 60 AMP circuit breakers, but,in order to move forward with the claim we did request maintenance records, which is normal protocol when there is a major repair or replacement of partsin the HVAC System. The customer originallyhad 45Amp which was changed to 60AMP to pull the proper amount of electricityfor the amp so that the unit will not trip the breaker and eventually burn out.We did have concerns regarding the maintenance of the unit, the customer sent in a maintenance record from 05/29/2014 and a service recordfrom 11/3/2013 which only the fan motor was replaced.Select Home Warranty originally offered the customer 125.00as a courtesy payment, the customer stated that her husband would give us a callto further discuss and we are more than willing to do so.Select Home Warranty will review the customers claim furtherand get in touch with them in order to resolve this matter.
We have just received the customers reimbursement form on 9/8 , usually it takes 30 days for the check to arrive to the customer we will expedite this and send it out right away.
The customers maximum allowance on this claims stands firm at $150.
Select Home Warranty is just trying to follow company procedure, again the check was sent to cstomers billing address that was originally provided and the customer stated his daughter lives there. We ask for some time to see if the check is sent back to us before having to pay a stop payment fee, the customer can contact Select Home Warranty directly if they did not feel what was explained to them regarding the process was appropriate. The origianl release was sent to us on 12/09 the check was sent ot on January 16 th the following Friday after January 9th, we do apologize for the 7 day delay, as the agreement states please allow up to 30 days to receive the payment.THe customer may contact Select Home Warranty direcetly for any additionl information regarding this matter as our customer service department is always available to answer any questions or concerns.
Please have this complaint closed out as their is another active complaint: Complaint ID [redacted] that I am currently responding to.
Select Home Warranty di explain to the customer once he canprovide proof of payment to the technician we would be more than happy toreimburse him the full 160.00. Thecustomer has not been able to provide the proof of payment so we have approved himfor only half of the amount, which is more...
than fair.Once the customer sends in the information we have requestedwe will review it and increase the reimbursement.
I am rejecting this response because: I never received a e-mail stating my last payment did not go through. I saved all my e-mails from this company and not one of them states my final installment was not paid. Nor, did I call in to resolve the issue with a new credit card # on the the date mentioned by SHW. They are lying. Like I stated before, I thought my home was covered, I only received e-mails from SHW stating that they were happy to have me as a customer and telling me about other discounts available through their company! Why would I be making this up, obviously, I wanted my home covered, do you really think I would let my 4th and final payment go unpaid if I had already paid 3 out of 4 payments...I am very punctual about paying my bills...you can check my credit scores, they are the highest scores, If I would have known or even been notified my payment did not go through I would have paid it!!!! As, for resolving this issue, [redacted] said he would call me back in 1 to 2 hours on the day of my phone call after finding out my policy was in a lapsed state and he never called me back! I had to be the one to call him later that day and he had already left and they said he would call me the next day and so I waited. Finally, about 11:30a.m I gave him a call and he said he was just about to call me...He told me at that time my garage door opener was not covered because the damage happened when my policy was lapsed!! He didn't try working with me, he didn't even try to make the situation better. He could have easily said, Mrs. [redacted], we are willing to work with you by allowing you to pay your final payment and reinstall your policy and have a garage door repair man out to you by the end of the week....NO! instead he said your garage door isn't covered because it happened when your policy was in a lapsed state....Well! I have never seen such a crooked way of doing things. What kind of company treats their paying customers with such disrespect. This company has taken my money and have not delivered what was promised. To bad the customer doesn't have a contract/policy on this type of company because IF I did they would be out of compliance with the lack of communication between customer and knowledgeable representatives...I asked questions to several of the companies employees and none could answer my questions, they would also be out of compliance in the fact that they think that an e-mail is sufficient to notify a customer their payment did not go through...did they ever think...hum, maybe this person doesn't check their e-mail on a regular basis, maybe, we should call, maybe we should send a letter of notification...duh! I totally reject their response and I can't help but wonder who else they have done this to! I want a total refund of my money and I want an apology from this companies administrative body.
