I am rejecting this response because: this isn't a problem about "mechanical issues" this is about Southpoint Dodge taking part in advertisement When I brought the car back to Southpoint Dodge, *** stated that the Odometer started "messing up" after you guys performed a "used car inspection" I have two questions regarding that: the first is, If you guys knew that the odometer was faulty prior to selling it to me how come you did not fix it or make it known to me prior to my purchase? The second question I have is, What are you guys doing during a "used car inspection" that causes you to tamper with the odometer? In regards to selling me the vehicle "AS IS" I was under the impression that it was a car that had miles on it You either with held pertinent information from me or you tampered with the odometer, both of which are key indications of lack of integrity My offer still stands, a full refund of my money and you take the car back or a 3000$ discount I was trying to settle this with you guys without legal representation but if you guys continue to ignore my offers then I will choose that route

Mr***,We represent you in trying to obtain a loan form the lenders and the information we use is whats on your credit BureauAs of Feb your credit shows and the lenders have confirmed an open car account that is still open and payments have been made on it that you and another person are jointly on that loan and due to the weakness of the credit the lender required that vehicle to paid in full prior to releasing the funds for a new loanOur goal is to sell cars and we do not achieve anything if we cant do soUnfortunately we are at the mercy of the lenders ad the accuracy of the credit information and customers information that has been provided to usIf you feel your credit reporting is inaccurate you may take that with the credit bureau and resolve the matter and hopefully come back to us and that we can earn your businessI am sorry for the inconvenience that this may have cause you but we can only go by the information that is on your credit.Thank you and have a blessed day.*** ***General Manager

I have discussed Mr***'s concern with him on Thursday the 15thWe did have the Jeep for an extended period of time during which we drove vehicle for milesDuring this time, the manufacturer provide Mr*** with a free rental. We could not duplicate the concern and the on board
diagnostic system did not have any trouble codes active or storedWe were in contact with technical division and without any specific findings we are not able to know what system or systems may be causing the intermittent condition.I have informed Mr*** that we will review with the manufacturer and will continue to work with him to address the concern*** ***

We invited Ms*** back to the dealership and after disclosing the banks approval and rate they assigned for her loan and explained more in-depth how the monthly payment is not possible to achieve with this high of a rate they were more comfortable knowing that we don't assign the interest

I am rejecting this response because: This was the second time the the clutch system had to have repairs. It was also the SECOND time that the axles had to be replaced. This is NOT for a car that was supposedly of good quality. That along with the many others repairs that have been happening with this car should be reason enough to see that this car is a hazard to drive.

*** *** : As I stated before,On March 7,our car was accepted by service personnel at Southpoint Dodge in fine working condition. And our car was checked with the computer component and IPad that they use when they check every car that comes into Southpoint.Wes the service person checked my can in for me that day.He told me him self everything else checks out fine.We drove our car into Southpoint not by tow truck or any other means. The car was not over heating, leaking and positively not smoking from anywhere. We brought our car in to Southpoint for an oil change and coolant bottle and radiator flush nothing else.My Uconnect was working I was talking to my wife all the way from Enterprize car rentals because she doesn't like driving on the freeway.I was driving the rental car on North IH in 5:0clock traffic. The air conditioning was also working. Our electric mirrors were working fine,USB,gear shifter as well the lights that show you which gear P R N D ectIf the only thing that was wrong was a thermostat why did it take Southpoint Dodge so long to find out?Southpoint was not trying to do us any favors by spending so long of a time only to find out it was just a wink-wink thermostat. They sent us a bill for $stating that was the price it would take to have the engine repaired.I called the service manger *** at Southpoint and after that I had to call Custumer Car Care that's when the ball started rolling.*** and a service technician started to perform a bypass to get our gear shifter to work and the they said to us we nee to take it to the back and Finnish and that was April 8,2016.I went back April 12,to have the gear shifter fixed a service person met at my car door again tried to plug his component into my computer serval times but it would not connect.Finnally after trying two or three other components he says now we got it.After he reads his pad he tells me yes sir you do have a few electcal issues.I then told the service guy yeah I know hear is a list he said ok thanks. Then service guy (***) run up walking fast maybe, takes service guys IPad and tells him to go and help someone else.So now I'm think to myself here we go again, but I don't say anything *** has my list from service guy so maybe it's going to be ok.*** comes to the lounge calles me to the side will Mr.*** we put the shifter in,(but)we cannot fix your other issues because they are not under warranty.I told *** they were working fine March 7,they did not need fixing in the first place.Well that's what the are telling me.Then *** say (but)we can update that Uconnect for you for $85.00.So then I told *** you've got me for a A/C Line now you want me to pay for my other components too.I said just give me a ticket for what you did to day a I'll take it from here.*** says no you don't need a ticket the shifter is free of charge.I said no I need a ticket April 12,2016.Weeks before I went to get some papers out of my glove and my hood on our car was not even closed all the way and that was the time Austin had the real bad rain.I was really up set about that even though thy say that they were going to put a new engine in it.I was thing about my electrical systems then. But they are the professional, right.Oh our car was out back in the grave yard since god knows when in the elements.I was not lying about the car over heating and I'm not lying now about my components now.The engine has a computer and the body has a computer update them back together! If Southpoint had our best interest in mind we would've never had to ask Revdex.com for HELP

Response: We are sorry you were dissatisfied with your recall service on 12/06/2015. As is the case with most vehicles of age, it is not uncommon for plastic parts to experience some degradation due to age. Texas heat being a strong contributor to many dash
related issues. Chrysler like many manufacturers only produce parts for vehicles for to years after the model cycle ends, and your vehicle is over that age group. All collateral damage recall repairs are at the discretion of the manufacturer, and in this case there was a lot of back and forth as to if they were willing to participate due to wear and tear. In the end they agreed to participate and parts were ordered. We are still currently awaiting the arrival of an air bag part that is on national backorder. Once it arrives we are going to take care of the dash replacement

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me

South Point Dodge was very happy to work with Mr*** and help him get the vehicle he wantedWhen we sent his contract to the bank, the bank screened it and found that customer was using multiple social security numbers. We sent a sales person to his house to get copies of all of his
identifications to hopefully solve the issue and make it right for the bank The sales person asked Mr*** to go to the Social Security office and get something in writing stating that was indeed his social and the only one he was using, the customer never did this. Once this happened, our contract was null and voidEveryone here has told Mr*** this and he does not understand this has absolutely nothing to do w/ usWe wanted to sell him a car, there would be absolutely no reason we would notUnfortunately, we did not have a cashable contract and had to try to reach Mr*** to bring the car back, when we could not reach him we then repossessed the vehicle. I have attached the letter from the bank stating the were not able to consider the contract any further

I am rejecting this response because: Chrysler tells me I have to go to another dealership and pay for them to get a second opinion because Southpoint Dodge states that everything is within parametersSouthpoint dodge says the transmission clunks just soft enough to meet parameters of what they can get away withHowever when we are driving the vehicle and almost get rear ended because of how hard it clunks, we just do not agreeAlso I personally pulled the code off of the vehicle and don't understand why professionally trained mechanics cannotThey replaced the battery which has not erased any code that would have been stored

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. The Fixed Operations Mgr has agreed to replace my engine with a refurbished/ used engine from a partner of theirs. He sttd there will be a 6 month warranty on this refurbished engine, that has 20,000 miles on it, & South Point will pay for the rental vehicle I am using until my vehicle is ready. Although I agreed, based on the history of circumstances related to my vehicle & it being "fixed", I do ask this complaint remain open. I was nervous about the agreement, but will await the results.

We would absolutely love to sell Mr. [redacted] a car and he was in fact, pre approved. Due to the negative equity he had on his trade in, we could not get him in the car he wanted. He owed quite a bit more, than the vehicle was appraised for, the bank requires more money down for negative equity...

situations. We still have an approval for him, we may just have to switch units or get more money down. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused but would still love to work with Mr [redacted].

I am rejecting this response because: I was very specific as the the transmission I was looking for. I asked to test drive a truck with an Aisin transmission and was led to believe that was what I was test driving. I even spoke to the sales person during the test drive about the Aisin transmission's capabilities. That is the only reason I asked for a similar truck but in the color black. I won't accept the excuse from the dealership that I settled for a truck with a 68RFE because at no point did anyone mention that is what I would be sold, and in fact I made it clear to everyone that the Aisis transmission was what I was there for. My only mistake was trusting they would deliver what I was asking for. Had I they told me they were processing numbers for a truck with a 68RFE rather than the Aisin I had asked for I would never purchased it and walked away. I believe they knew that and that is why they kept it to themselves. The deceit obviously started, based on the response here on Revdex.com, with the truck they had me test drive by making me think it had the transmission I desired.

I am rejecting this response because: The car had alternator  problems, which were taken care of by independent repair shop. 3 alternators were installed.  But, as it has been explained to me an alternator will not just stop once it has started and then perform properly. If its broken, its broken. Also, the repeated pattern of the car's malfunction is to start, run and stall/die. SWhen it dies, ometime later car starts again. Numerous times the alternator and battery are read and pass the inspection reading even as the alternator light might be on. Also, the battery has been replaced twice, same symptoms apply. If a battery is dead it's dead, yet the car starts again sometime later. There seems to be a disconnect in the electrical system. Could these problems stem from repairs done on front passenger side window problem take care of by South Point back in 12/28/15? As suggested, the PCM board?
