I started using their product back in 2016 and stopped around mid 2017 at which point I tried closing my account and I was told that was impossible that my account would just be closed automatically after not being used a certain time and no fees would be charged. Starting about September of 2019 the company began to charge me a device fee for the account they had supposedly closed. Turns out the account was still open and I was not even using it. I tried to contact their customer service but the link on their website for Customer Support it’s Assad link that creates a message error saying webpage not available.

So I have been using stash for the better part of 2 years. I have made no real money on this service but I never invested a huge amount of money on the platform. Ultimately it worked as advertised and when I needed to close my account it was pretty easy. I think to anyone who is thinking about using this platform it is a platform best used as a set it and forget it type thing. The only real reason I closed my account is I just purchased a home and I needed the extra cash in my account after a pipe burst. I would definitely recommend this service to people who are looking to casually invest in the stock market. Closing my account was easy I just went to the website and just clicked a couple of buttons and my account was closed.

I removed all money from my Stash account in order to close the account and not continue using their services in March 2017. A few days ago, I realized that they have been charging me $1/month for the last 3 years for an account that is completely inactive and hasn’t been used at all for any type of trading. I’ve called their customer support line 20+ times and they do not answer. I’ve emailed support 6 times. I finally received an email reply stating that they will not refund me my money. They have been illegally debiting money from my account for services that I do not use.

This complaint is both against Stash debit account and their investment account. Their debit account team has refused to put in a second appeal against fraudulent charges. I had several charges done on the same day for Gas. I called to say my card was stolen and put in for a refund. They refund 3 of the charges but not the other three saying they needed more info which I provided. Jacques is a supervisor and was very rude and not willing to help me resolve the issue. He was also unwillingly to put forth any sort of good effort to address my concerns. Please pull the recording. For the investment account, I will file with the FDIC because in my belief Stash is misleading. I made a transfer out of my custodial account on 12/*** and was told I need to wait for shares to settle. I called after the two to four business days and was told my shares have not settled and that they were waiting for the next batch (I have no idea what that rep meant) but somehow I was disconnected (which tends to happen alot with Stash customer service) and I had to call back again. The next rep told me I couldn't withdraw from my account because it was a stock reward (again I have no idea what that means) I asked him why my withdrawal amount was different from the sale I initiated and he said it was due to market fluctuations... When I did the calculation the market would have to fluctuate over 20% within two days for this to happen. He was not able to answer my question and deemed my problem to be an App problem. Kayla and Amanda are the only ones who were able to assist me but now I have to wait over 20 days for my transfer to be clear. I had one rep who refused for over ten mins to let me speak to a supervisor and said that he receives the same training as a supervisor. The customer service and lack of empathy is terrible. I want to speak to someone who can make a change

Stash cannot be trusted with your money. They have repeatedly locked my account for no reason. A couple of months ago they locked it and their "custodian" sent me a snail mail letter saying they locked it because they needed to verify my physical address. If this is a requirement, why is it not done when the account is opened. My account is 2 years old! I took the time out of my schedule to full-fill their snail mail requirements and phoned Stash to make sure all was handled - especially since the letter claimed that if they could not verify my account, they were in their legal right to take all of the money I had in the account!

After being assured that all was well with my account, now they have locked it again. No letter this time, but when I phoned I was told it was for the same reason!. Now I just want to get my money back from them and get as far away from them as possible!

I have requested stash to update my address by uploading address proof document. They simply closed my account and no t allowed me to login. When called customer care, they stopped account closing process. I don’t understand, how they tried to close my account without being requested from me?
It causes lots of issues in my account and now I am unable to operate my account. Stash is more irresponsible in resolving the issue. Can we trust stash?

I setup a account with Stash and had to link my bank account in order to join the application. Over the next 2 weeks they start duplicate charging me on multiple days. The first one was for $30.00 on November *** 2019. In which they took out unapproved funds. Then Dec 2019 they took out $90.00 which cost me overdraft fees. They have yet to re-conciliate this matter when I call the supervisor Tammy tells me no one can help me but the director but they don't know when she can reach out. The director already informed me on a previous customer service call that this was cause by their custodian having a computer gliche. I have save all of my correspondence the have told their agents to disconnect the call given out my information without verifying my account information and cause me a financial hardship not to mention the stress of the emotional abuse they are causing me every time I contact them in regards to the duplicate charges.

Stash never emailed me and I have since reach back out to see if any new notes were made to my account in regards to the duplicate charges still the customer service representative Deondre was instructed by the Lead supervisor Tammy to hang up on before I could even inquire about any updates to my account. I am not sure how they are reaching out to me but I have received all the emails prior to today Dec ,2019. I just want the money taken from my account. As well as to inform everyone of their rude and unfair business practices towards customers. They should take no pride in customer service that hangs up on customers and are rude when their is a issue going on with the account. No customer should ever have to be disconnect from and be left wondering where their life savings has went. We entrust the company with our banking when we link our accounts. If their issues with their custodian taking duplicate charges that is a internal issue that they should put measures in place to deal with. Not say we can't help you only the director can and she will get in contact with you whenever she can. I have been waiting and corresponding with Stash since Nov *** today is Dec *** and still no resolution or even a email other the one I received saying they would refund my money to my account back on Dec ***.

This is my 2nd complaint of Stash invest on Revdex.com. Below is my first complaint.
Second Complaint:
After dealing with the debacle of them charging my account twice and taking about 2 weeks to get my money back from the duplicate issue I decided to close my account because this proved to me they were incompetent. It took about another 2 weeks form them to answer any of my emails and finally close my account. I used the service for less than a month and they charged me $12 when I closed my account. This $12 is not much money but they were only suppose to charge $1 a month and they charged a full year of fees. I feel scammed and duped by Stash and I highly recommend you stay away from this company.

First complaint:
I loaded money to my stash account with money from my bank account. This was my secondary bank account that I was trying to empty and close. Well they double dipped and charged me twice and they refuse to pay the bank fees accrued from their mistake. They even sent me a email and apologized for the problem that they screwed up stating: We're sorry! You aren't seeing double! Our Custodian *** duplicated a transfer from Monday, November ***, 2019. Given the seriousness of this issue, we are reversing the duplicate transfer as early as today. We expect your money to hit your account tonight or first thing Monday, December ***, 2019. Rest assured, Stash will work to determine if you incurred additional fees and reimburse them. Thank you for your patience. I have emailed them several times with no response. My bank account is negative and have been charged 2 overdraft fees due to their mess up. I will be taking them to small claims court soon if they do not respond. I am very disappointed and irate that the way they handled this issue.

A company that trades stocks and ETFs should be more competent at managing money and treating their customers better than I was treated. Stash stole money from my bank account and then when I cancelled my account they charged me an entire year of fees. This is shady business practice. They did refund the money they stole from my bank account but they never refunded the year of fees. This proves what kind of a company they are, please stay away from Stash.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved pending proof the company updated my address.

I have closed my account and provided an updated address for any tax correspondence which the brokerage firm is refusing to update. I'm seeking assistance in getting the company to comply and update my address.
