I have an IRA account in good standing. 45 days later and they still will not close my account or release my funds. I am not able transfer assets to my new broker. And I am not able to manually sell and close my account. When they are contacted, they tell me everything is good to go. They even send instructions on how to close my account. However, any time this is attempted, the website says the action is not allowed. They respond to email maybe half of the time. And are near impossible to reach on the telephone. Typically the message says they have high call volume and to call back. You are then disconnected. I have filed an SEC complaint as well.

So far I’ve had this app for a couple weeks and was pretty pleased with it at first. There’s a lot of hidden fees and regulations. They promote giving you $20 with every friend referral, well if you get it you won’t have access to it for at least 3 months. Getting your money out period seems to be a hassle. You have to wait at least a week for transfers back into your bank account and they might sneak some hidden fees (they did with me and I had to call and be on hold for 30 mins). I don’t think this app is a total rip off but that there’s others with less fees and more straight forward service and I would use those if you want to avoid a bit of a headache.

I've been trying to close my retirement account so I can fully close the whole account and followed the instructions they have emailed me but still no success. They make it difficult to close out your retirement so you can't close whole account and still get charged a monthly fee

I've been trying to close my retirement account so I can fully close the whole account and followed the instructions they have emailed me but still no success. They make it difficult to close out your retirement so you can't close whole account and still get charged a monthly fee

When I signed up with Stash I was signing up for 1 dollar plan however their site is complicated and difficult to utilize so accidentally I pushed the button for an IRA. I immediately call Stash and spoke with a representative who said she corrected that I did not want an IRA account and I wanted the 1 dollar a month an account and then she assisted me to create my account. Furthermore she asked me if I wanted further services as the green dot credit card, I SAID no, or their debit card I SAID no. I have. Had their account for 2 months. The account became brutal to manage due to it was not user friendly. I needed my money so I decided to close the account. I started to close all the my investments and realized this was going to be tremendous undertaking. It took me over 4 hours at which time I became confused due to the site’s lack of clear instructions and had my checking account send money to Stash twice. I did not know how to reverse the process. When I was done cashing out all my investments into a pending status I believed I could close my account. That was incorrect as I followed the instructions on the stashes site and it could be done. So I went to google to see if I could find information and I did 270 complaints against Stash and difficultly closing and obtaining their own money. The next issue is when I called On 8/*** I was told that my account was an IRA and I had to complete an IRS tax form for an IRA. I explained the situation above and Stash was insistent about the IRA account. I informed Stash based on the evidence, I never completed an IRA application, you record your calls, I never had any money deposited in an IRA only the 1 dollar account for which you withdrew from my banking account, I was never notified by mail or email of an IRA account I believe that is a federal mandate. Debbie S. Stated she was going to release my money which would take 2 days and send me an email. When I received the email Debbie sent. Me forms for complete for an IRA. Seriously, I learned Stash does this type of unexceptionable business practice on a regularly after I started reading the complaints on google not wanting to return others money for one reason or another. Also signing people up for services they did not request. I did not fall for it and the green dot credit card they sent me, then followed up with Several texts to open and use their debt card which I did not. This is the start of my letter writing I will go on to the licensing agency of Stash with their CEO, BK who I am sure he would want to know what is going on with his company.

I had $60.07 in my Stash Invest account when I went to close it. I was moving to a competitor that didn't charge any fees to students. I was concerned because Stash would only let me move $5.07 out of my investment account. I called Stash customer service to close the account and I asked about the money I couldn't move out. They told me not to worry about it and everything in the account would be moved to my linked bank account. I was reassured and had my account closed. I only received $5.07 to my linked bank account. I called Stash to ask why and they said that the $55 of promotional credits I had received for opening my account could not be transferred out for 90 days and they had been returned to Stash. I was told that the first rep was misinformed and there was no way I could get this money back.

To whom it may concern,

I am in need of your help. I opened up a Stash account wanting to save some money, and do a little investing. After several weeks of using the app I realized they were taking funds out of my bank account on days that I did not authorize. I contacted the company, and due to their poor customer service I decided to close my accounts. I had one personal account and one retirement account. It took me three weeks to close the personal account.

Now I have been trying to collect the last of my money out of the retirement account that I opened. It has been six weeks since I started the process. I done everything the company has asked me to do. The first told me to complete the ROTH IRA disbursement form online. I did that. Then they told me my bank account needed to be linked. I did that. I was sent forms that filled out three time, and had them notarized and sent back. The company sent me on email on 7//2020 stating to only sing the documents and not put any other markings on them. I signed the forms and sent them back as instructed. Then said the form had to be signed.

Each week this company comes up with another way not to send me my money. At this point I sick and tired of the back and forth with them. All I want is my $511.00.
