Review: Stellar Recovery dialed my cell phone number without consent violating TCPA. Stellar Recovery further violated TCPA by dialing my cell phone number without consent causing it to ring and did not leave a message. Stellar Recovery further violated TCPA by calling my cell number without consent and left PRE-RECORDED MESSAGES on my voice mail. Stellar has a portal on their website that allows a user to send them a message. They claim a Dispute Resolution specialist will get in contact with you. I sent them a message and directed that message to [redacted] the Chief Compliance Officer. Neither Compliance Officer [redacted] or any employee of Stellar responded to me. I asked them why they violated TCPA and how many times they dialed my cell number without consent. Each one of those calls requires damages of $500 - $1500 EACH. I followed up with a direct email to Compliance Officer [redacted]. I have record of this email and advised [redacted] that I had 3 saved Pre-recorded messages from Stellar left on my cell phone voice mail. I asked [redacted] to review the dials made to my cell phone and why under his watchful compliance eye could such a flagrant and intentional violation of TCPA happened. Compliance Officer [redacted] did not respond. I advised Stellar that I had consulted with an attorney and would be filing suit against them if they did not acknowledge their violation and make restitution. They of course ignored me. You see that is what dishonest, disingenuous, disreputable agencies do. They bury their head in the sand and think things are just going to go away. Reputable agencies immediately seek resolution with the consumer. They don't sit around. They reach out, listen, review their actions, offer remediation and resolve their problem. I need the Revdex.coms help. This could likely be a class action. Stellar didn't make a mistake and call me once. They intentionally dialed my cell number and they intentionally left pre-recorded messages violating TCPA. Other innocent consumers are being abused by Stellar.Desired Settlement: Compliance Officer [redacted] needs to respond to my grievance and own up to the violations because I have the recordings as evidence. [redacted] needs to tell the Revdex.com how many times my cell phone was dialed without consent and caused to ring without leaving a message. How many illegal ROBO message they left on my cell phone voice mail? Restitution needs to be made by Stellar. Auditors need to investigate Stellar to bring action against them for abusive cell # dialing practices. TCPA must be followed.

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of an inquiry received from [redacted]. The consumer indicates she has been unable to contact our office or make a payment via our web site. We tested the Web Site and the account was brought up for payment, the file # is [redacted], zip code is [redacted] and last name is [redacted]. Our records indicate that we did speak with the consumer on 5-27-2015 and she requested a letter to be sent out. We show the letter was ordered and sent out on 5-28-2015 and addressed to the address we have on the file of [redacted]. An updated address was not provided to our agent during the call. We also show all of our numbers are working properly including [redacted]. We have also provided the phone number for contact of this consumer to one of agents and she will be attempting to follow up on this file today.

Review: Stellar Recovery has been calling my home phone number for more than TWO YEARS trying to locate someone by the name of [redacted] for debt collection. Neither my husband nor I know anyone by this name, we have never even heard of a [redacted], and for over TWO YEARS we have repeatedly (and repeatedly) told Stellar Recovery this. Over and over and over again we have told the callers from Stellar Recovery that we do not know [redacted], that he does not reside at our address, that we have never even heard of [redacted], that they have an old, incorrect, wrong, outdated, obsolete, recycled contact number for this guy, and to please take our number off their call list and not to call us again. Sadly, our requests and demands that Stellar cease and desist their calls to our home phone number have been ignored. In fact, this company's flagrant disregard for the applicable laws and regulations and their continued calling have long ago crossed the line and are now very clearly harassment. Ironically, my husband worked for many years in the debt collection business in Florida, so he is very well acquainted with federal and state laws concerning debt collection practices. Today at approximately 12:30 pm EDST I was a victim of Stellar's latest questionable bullying tactic-- an automated call that states that the call is for "[redacted]", and if the person answering the phone is not "[redacted]" to please hang up. Well of course I'm not going to hang up because I need to find out who is calling my home number so that I can take appropriate action. Then the message goes on to say that if I am still listening, I acknowledge that I am [redacted]. What?!? So what if my voice mail system answers the call? Does that mean that my voice mail is [redacted]? What a sleazy, back-door, juvenile, underhanded, prankish form of harassment! I don't know which is worse--if these callers from Stellar are really this incompetent or if they know better but just don't care.Desired Settlement: Stellar Recovery" will remove our home phone number from its database, place us on a Do Not Call list, and never ever call us again regarding any matter whatsoever to do with the person referred to as "[redacted]."

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. Ms. [redacted] indicated that our company has been calling her phone number of ###-###-#### for a period of 2 years. We have completed our investigation, on 04-10-2013, our office was assigned a file for a [redacted] with a phone number attached of ###-###-####. We show no prior calls made to this number until the first call on 04-13-2013, and 6 addtional calls since that date. We do apologize for the wrong number calls but are confident that we have not been calling that number for a 2 year period. We have removed the phone number from the file and we have also placed her phone in our internal "do not call list." This will prevent the number from being called in the future if it becomes associated with any new file placed in our office. Our recording from the dialer system is compliant with current FDCPA requirements and is the standard recording used by our industry. If Ms. [redacted] has any additonal concerns, she is also welcome to call me , [redacted], ###-###-####, ext [redacted] or e mail me at [redacted].com

Review: I have been trying to resolve a debt that Stellar Recovery, Inc. has in my name. Because the debt that they are handling is for Comcast, I had to return Comcast equipment then call back Stellar with the receipt of returned equipment. I returned the equipment then called Stellar back and realized that I had missed returning one piece of equipment. I was advised to return it then call back Stellar again to resolve my account. I returned the second piece of equipment and after approximately 10 phone calls in the span of 5 days and 2 emails (to separate email addresses found on their website), there is no way to contact them. The outgoing phone message on all of the phone numbers I have found for Stellar Recovery, Inc. is that the person is not at that extension and their mailbox is full so I can't leave a voicemail. I have had no response to the emails that I have written.

I just want to know if they are no longer in business and if so, how I proceed with my account? Or, are they still in business and how do I contact them?

Thank you.Desired Settlement: To know if they are still in business and to know how to contact so that I can finish my business with them (Stellar Recovery, Inc.)

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. On 02-19-2014, our office did receive a comcast file in the name of Mark [redacted] for services and equipment not returned at [redacted]. Our records show we spoke with the consumer on 11-18-2014 and were informed that equipment had been returned to Comcast and were also informed that Comcast indicated that this would be removed from the credit reporting. The file was put on hold and we contacted our client in regards to the returned equipment. Comcast indicated that some of the equipment had been returned but also advised us to close the file and return to them. We closed the file on 11-18 and the file was recalled on 11-26. All credit reporting was ordered deleted on 11-18-2014. A closure letter was mailed out today to the address provided by the Revdex.com complaint. The file is closed and returned to our client. We are not sure why the consumer was unable to contact our office, we were closed over the Thanksgiving Holiday in order for our employees to spend time with their families.

On 7/15/15, I checked my credit report to discover a $37 negative balance for an acct purchased from Comcast. I contacted SRI to pay the debt in full with the following requests: an email receipt, the account be removed from my report saying my debt was paid in full and inquired why I NEVER received any communication about the debt. The rep told me it was because they did not have a number to reach me at and that it would take 30 days for me to receive an email saying that my debt was paid in full, but that I would have my bank statement as proof of payment and that it is not SRI's policy to remove accounts from reports even if paid in full. I find this to be utterly ridiculous!! Why on earth would it take 30 days to send out a paid in full letter???!! 30 days!! Really?!?! I opted to pay over the phone to receive a receipt of payment and was charged a $9!! processing fee!!! SRI has crude practices!! Please do something about this!!

Review: I checked my credit report and I have this [redacted] bill in the amount of $201 dollars on my account. 12600442. [redacted] has never been on my credit report. I have had no prior collection attempts from this company. They did not notify me before putting this on my credit report. I never received a thirty day notice. Nothing. This is very odd because I keep a very close look on my credit report as I am very adept to FCRA rules and regulations. I have all the major credit monitoring services. I demand under FCRA rules and regulations full validation of this debt. They state the debt originated May 2014. It is a violation to not be notified under FCRA rules and regulations to put a collection on my account without my notice that also being the fact that [redacted] never put anything on my report I choose not to state more violations until I make it perfectly clear what I need from this company and it's tortious acts.Desired Settlement: In assertion I am requesting for various items along with this validation. Bill of Sale, Signed Documents, Address it originated, Itemization, Interest Accrued. I will not state the entirety of the information. As I need what Stellar will provide. If they neglect to provide proper validation it will be used. I have specifically asked for these five pieces of documentation to determine certain factors. There modernization of this account will be used. No matter the state of the account of when it was bought will be subject to scrutiny. If this was bought and found to be aged out of the statutes of limitation in my state I will seek damages. I need all pertinent information about this account. I require the entire paper course from sale from [redacted] to whomever this entity is in a paper format sent via U.S. Postal Mail. I will accept Revdex.com response information, but it will be deemed impure only because I need hard documentation. I am asking also for a Cease and Desist from Stellar. If they faulter to offer me this information I will not hesitate to sue. I will be contacting the CFPB before suit for dereliction. With this information it is imperative for me to have this information to see any more wrong doings. I have well and full knowledge of Consumer Financial Law. If under review of any of the information they provide by this contact I find anymore violations I will be seeking damages and additional damages as I have already found many impurities/violations. I choose not to state legal terms. Simple abrogation from my credit report with be sufficient and a cease and desist order is also compulsory. I do know FCRA and FDCPA jargon and I will not state these legal terms, but I will use your information you provide me to write an adequate response to the CFPB and or my attorney general. I am entirely cognizant of of anything to do with consumer financial laws and also data aggregation, brokers, privacy, e-commerce and will sue any tortfeasar. In my findings in any way you acquired this through a bundle and or the credit reporting agency itself they and you will both be held responsible as there tortious act has caused damage to my credit file If I find any violations I will be contacting the FDCPA and will find many more violations under any case law with with this. Any dereliction of this information shall and will be fully subject of scrutiny and used. A closure will not be accepted. Deletion and brokered accounts will also be subject also.. Therefore any account in my name you have acquired will be under these same terms. I will also be seeking damages with the credit reporting agency as I know there is high probability this could have been given to you by a certain agency. Compliance to delete this malicious information on my report and close any aggregated/bought accounts in your entire DBMS will be accepted. Violations for any account you have in my name will be subject and in turn will be be used for my purposes. Expeditious processing of communication to the credit reporting agencies is demanded. Expeditious acknowledgement to act will be noted. ""Simple deletion and personal information closed, abrogated entirely from your DBMS will be accepted and a expeditious response to the credit reporting agencies you have this on file with to delete will be accepted."" If you choose to send me a letter stating you will delete these accounts and any accounts you have in your DBMS. I urge to act quickly.

I Stellar Recovery in regards to the letter I received. I requested a paid on full letter and they told me I would have to call back in 30 days, which I unwilling to do. Review: On 5/5/2015 I received an alert from my credit monitoring service that a new collection had been added to my report. It was Stellar Recovery. I have never received a dunning notice nor phone call from this company. I sent a debt validation letter on 5/9/2015 to which I have received no response. It has now been beyond the 30 day period required for a response. The original creditor is listed as Time Warner. I do not have an outstanding debt with Time Warner. Stellar Recovery is also reporting differently to the three bureaus. Experian reports as paid collection. TransUnion reports a balance owed of $122. Equifax is reporting a balance owed of $350. I don't know this company. I don't owe a balance to Time Warner. I've also not received proper notice of this collection nor required response to my debt validation letter. For this I'd greatly appreciate the desired outcome.Desired Settlement: Due to no response to my debt validation letter, not owing the original creditor anything, differences in reporting across the bureaus, and no prior notification of this collection please delete permanently this trade line from my credit report.

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. Our records do indicate that we received a file from Time Warner Cable for services at [redacted] in the name of [redacted] in the amount of 350.26, which included $122.00 in unreturned equipment and $228.26 for services on 03-30-2015. We do show a demand letter was mailed to this address on 03-30-2015. We also show we made several attempts to contact the consumer at the phone number of [redacted]. Our records show that we were notified of a payment made directly to Time Warner on 05-12-2015 in the amount of $228.26 and a credit was received for the equipment on 5-26-15 in the amount of $122.00 leaving a zero balance due on this file. We show that we are reporting a "paid in full" account to all credit reporting agencies. We do not show any notification that a letter of validation was received on this file. Because of the discrepancy noted in the complaint, we will order deletion of the credit reporting on this file to all credit reporting agencies.

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of an inquiry made to the Revdex.com by [redacted]. Our records indicate that we did receive a past due billing from [redacted] for [redacted] for services at [redacted] on 10-17-2014. We show no contact has been made to the consumer on this file, we did send a demand letter to the address we had on file on 10-17-2014. Based on the information received by the Revdex.com, we did ask our client to provide validation documents for this file. Review: My bill got to sent to collections and I paid it March of 2015. The account was marked paid in full and is still reflecting my credit score. I have asked 3 different people to delete that and they tell me they can not do that. One of them told me it was not their policy and then he hung up on me and was very rude. The 2 girls I talked to before the I spoke with the guy were not very pleasant to speak with either. I don't understand why this can not be deleted since it has been paid. It is hurting my credit score. I just want to please get this taken off of there. It is now December 2015. THanksDesired Settlement: I would please like my credit to be corrected. I would like this company to recall it. To be deleted please. It shouldn't be showing up since it has been paid off since March 2015. Thank you

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. Our records indicate that a file was placed into our office by Charter Communications on 1-31-2015 for a [redacted] for services at [redacted]. A demand letter was mailed out on 2-1-2015 to the address on file. Stellar Recovery did report this charge off to the credit reporting agencies. On 3-25-2015, Charter Communications notified our office that the account was paid to them in full by the consumer. The Credit reporting was updated after the payment to show a zero balance and paid in full. Stellar Recovery does NOT have a "pay to delete" policy. We have reviewed the calls made to our agents and each of the employees attempted to explain to the consumer that this was being reported correctly.

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a inquiry made by [redacted]. Our office shows that we did receive an e mail inquiry from Ms. [redacted] on 07-25-2014, in which she indicated that "she had paid my debt for [redacted] through chapter 128, completed November 27,2013. The debt is still showing on my credit report as unpaid" Our compliance department reviewed the file and agreed Ms. [redacted] had paid off the file and had made all payments due since 8-9-2011 through 10-25-2013. The agent had not properly closed the file due to the fact that interest was occueing on the file but we had agreed to not actually charge any interest. The file was closed on 07-25-2014 and deletion was ordered to all credit reporting agencies. Ms. [redacted] needs to allow time for the credit reporting agencies to process this request. We show the agent did attempt to call the consumer but no contact was made for this follow up. The file has been closed as paid in full and deletion has been ordered as of 7-25-2014.

Review: I received a phone call in September 2013 regarding a bill I supposively owed for $78. They were very determined to collect the money over the phone without informing me of what company it was for or what the charges were for. I never heard of this company nor have I received any bills or letters in the mail from them. After much probing, they did tell me [redacted] sent me to collections for an account I had two years ago. I told them I paid off the account and closed it myself, that I received no letters/bills from Stellar or [redacted].I asked what the charges were for and they could not tell me. I asked them to send me a bill in the mail and paper work showing what I owed and why. I told them I would not pay without proof and paperwork. They told me to contact [redacted] and find out from them, then call them back and pay.Desired Settlement: I want this fee waived and my credit cleared up.I want Stellar to stop calling and waive this fee I don't owe.

Stellar Recovery has received an inquiry from [redacted]. On 04-09-2013, our office did receive a [redacted] file in the name of [redacted] for services at [redacted] Our investigation shows that we did not make contact with Ms. [redacted] until 09-17-2013, she indicated to our agent that she had never had [redacted] and the address we were showing for service was her "Mothers" home and she thought she might have opened this file in her name, she indicated that she was going to call her mother and would call us back after she did. She also called into our office on 09-18-2013 and requested a letter be sent, the letter was mailed to the [redacted] address on 09-18-2013. We also document that we talked with the consumer on 09-23-2013, said she wanted to verify the charges, the agent advised we would order the validation or she could speak directly with [redacted] with additional questions on the original set up of the file. The agent did order the validation, I have mailed a copy of validation documents to the address in Hawaii as provided by the Revdex.com. For now, we have placed the file as disputed and ask for deletion of the credit reporting. Ms. [redacted] is welcome to discuss the file when she receives our documents with our office at ###-###-####, ext [redacted].

Review: I have been called by ###-###-#### (Stellar Recovery) at least 3 times, at my home number ###-###-####, within the past week. They are looking for a [redacted] (?) and leave a message that I cannot listen to the message unless I am her, because they are collecting a debt. I finally called the number back tonight. I was hung up on as soon as I said "You keep calling my home number looking for someone who doesn't live here (click)." I called back, got the same "[redacted]," said "I just talked to you. Stop calling my house, you're calling the wrong person." He asked for the number, gave it to him, he asked if I'm that lady, I said "I just told you, you're calling the wrong number." He said, "You're not here. Huh. Ha (chuckle). We'll take that number off the list, 24 hour takedown, you shouldn't receive any more calls." I was ticked at the chuckle, said "Then fix it NOW." He hung up on me. I am not the person they want, I googled their number and from the results this appears to be a regular occurrence. The company is an apparent violated of federal laws. This needs to stop immediately.Desired Settlement: I want the calls to stop to me, and I want this company to stop harassing others. Repeated calls happen during the day, and the night. I am not the person they are looking for, and they have a history of doing this to innocent others. They want to question if I'm a liar? Why don't they reverse-phone-search my number and see I am NOT the person they are looking for? Make them stop calling me.

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] claims last year he pulled his credit, saw this on his credit and contacted our office to pay and "delete it off his credit." We do show that after several conversations with Mr. [redacted] , this claim was paid in full on 7-28-2014. We do not have a "Pay to Delete" program and we reviewed all calls with our agents and do not find that any agent he spoke with agreed to Deletion if he paid this account. We also noted that Mr. [redacted] spoke with at least 4 agents and managers yesterday demanding deletion of this report and was informed that the account was properly being reported to all credit reporting agencies as paid in full with no balance due. Mr. [redacted] obviously will continue do whatever he believes may be necessary to get this deleted from his credit report, although Stellar is properly reporting this debt and we find no agent committed to payment for deletion, we have ordered Deletion of the credit reporting. Mr [redacted] also ask for a paid in full letter yesterday and that has been ordered by our letter vender. For purposes of customer satisfaction, we have deleted this reporting, confirmation # is [redacted].

Review: I am writing to place a complaint against Stellar Accts for continuing to report and update account # [redacted]to my credit files to the credit reporting agencies without proper validation that the debt is mine. I sent two certified letters to validate this debt over the last 90 days. yet, they continues to update and report this account. This is a violation of the FCRA.Desired Settlement: Immediately delete this debt from all three major credit bureau and agree not to sell or renter this debt on my credit report.

On 01-22-2013, our office did receive a file from [redacted]t regarding a past due billing for [redacted] for services at [redacted] Houston, TX 77038. Part of the billing was for equipment and part for services dating back to November of 2010. On 03-25-2013, [redacted] credited 3 payments to this account for returned equipment for $740.00. We began to report this file to the credit bureaus on 03-26-2013. Our account history does not show that we ever received any correspondence from this consumer requesting validation of the file. Based on the information we received from the Revdex.com, we have ordered and received validation documents including copies of invoices dated 09-22-1008-19-2011 and 07-19-2010, we have mailed these invoices to the address on file which is the same address as provided by the Revdex.com. All collections and reporting does stop during this validation period per the FDCPA, we have deleted any credit reporting for this file, aud deletion request is [redacted], dated todays date. Mr. [redacted] can review the documents and is welcome to contact us after his review with any additional questions or e mail me at [redacted]@stellarrecoveryinc.com .

Review: I contacted them in order to pay a debt and stated that I would pay them in full if they were to remove the item off of my credit report. They stated that as a company, they do not do that and that I can feel free to settle the account. This is not true. Upon some research, I found that they have done this for other consumers.Desired Settlement: I will pay the "debt" if they agree to remove it from my credit report

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. On 04-21-2014, our office did receive a past due file from [redacted] for a [redacted] for services at [redacted]. Our records show that we did speak with the consumer on 11-12-2014 and were advised that the consumer was willing to pay this bill if we agreed to delete the credit reporting, the consumer was informed by our agent that Stellar does not have a "Pay to Delete" policy as directed by our client, that when the file is paid, it would be reported as paid in full with a zero balance due to our credit reporting agencies. This consumer claims that "upon research, she found we have done this for other consumers." Our policy is that we do not have a "Pay to Delete" program and that is true. There are however, some circumstances that we have determined that deletion should be done, this is not because a consumer simply won"t pay the bill unless we agree to delete the entry, deletions are only granted warranted upon the reason for deletion and are approved by our Chief Compiance Officer, [redacted]. On 11-25-2014, our office was notified by [redacted] that the file should be recalled and returned to them, which we did. Once a file is recalled by the Client, deletion is ordered. Deletion was electronically requested on this file to all credit reporting agencies on 11-26-2014. The consumer is welcome to contact [redacted] directly if they wish to pay this file or obtain further information regarding the file, the file is closed in our office.

Review: I asked for the account to be removed from my credit reports and for a receipt showing that the account was paid in full. I was told the receipt would be in my email that day by one person and in my email the next day by a 2nd person. They collected my money and have failed to deliver on what they promised.Desired Settlement: I want this account removed from my credit reports and a paid in full letter or a receipt sent to me ASAP.

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. We have investigated the file and pulled all recordings associated with the file and have reviewed same. Stellar Recovery does not have a "Pay to Delete" policy and our policy is to send out paid in full letters to consumers after 30 days from the date of payment. These issues were discussed with the consumer only after the payment was made on this file. Because there may have been some confusion because the issues were brought to the attention of the consumer after the payment was received, we have e mailed a paid in full letter on 11-03-2014. We have also ordered deletion of the credit reporting to all credit reporting agencies for this file ([redacted]). Please allow time for the credit reporting agencies to process this manual request for deletion. If Mr. [redacted] did not receive the paid in full letter for some reason, he is welcome to e mail [redacted]. The file is closed, deleted and we show the paid in full has been tranmitted via e mail to [redacted]

Review: I received an alert on my credit report on 01/2012 that Stellar Recovery was reporting a collection account on my credit report. I immediately disputed it with all 3 credit reporting agencies and came back as verified. I waited for a dunning letter and I never received one. I sent Stellar Recovery a Debt Validation Letter certified mail with return receipt and no response from them. I again disputed with all 3 credit agencies in 08/2012 and came back as verified. I again sent them a Debt Validation Letter certified mail with return receipt and no response from them again. They are the only negative mark on my credit report and I have no idea what the collection is for. I have no account number as I was never provided any information on the account. I disputed again in 01/2013 with all 3 credit agencies and came back as verified. I have been going in circles with them for 14 months now with no information from them. I will be filing a complaint with FTC and the CA State Attorney Generals Office as well.Desired Settlement: I would like for Stellar Recovery to delete their tradeline from my credit report.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards,

Stellar Recovery has called my phone number 50-100 times at all hours of the day and night. I have never answered because I do not owe anybody money.
I am afraid to answer because I feel that they are fraudulent, and I dont want to verify that there is anyone at my phone number.
how can I stop these calls and stop them from annoying others in the same way ???
