Review: Over the last week I've received several calls at work from this company. I don't know who they are, the person I just spoke to told me that they're representing [redacted] for an old debt, I told him I couldn't speak to him because I was at work, and then he told me that the past several times they've spoken to me I am never able to talk...I asked when we'd spoken last, he told me "Stellar just got the account on April 16", so he is lying about speaking to me in the past, and then when I told him to send me proof, he told me "they already had", which, again, by his own admittance, they've had this account less than a week, and I haven't had any contact with them either verbally or via mail in the past. Again, I am requesting proof of this debt, and I am demanding that they cease and desist contacting me immediately.Desired Settlement: I dispute the validity of this debt, and expect them to follow proper procedure before I initiate further legal action against them.

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. We have reviewed a recording of the conversation between our agent and Ms. [redacted]. We do note that the Agent did indicate that he had spoke with this consumer in the past and that was not the case and there was some confusion as to communication with letters and the mail. Ms. [redacted] has notified through the Revdex.com, to Cease and desist (and indicated that she is also disputing the file) and this will be honored. The file has been closed and returned to our client with a copy of this dispute notification. Stellar Recovery will not be contacting this consumer in the future. We do not report these files to any Credit Reporting Agency.

Review: I have had a balance owed to Comcast since I canceled my cable through them due to their price raising too high. So I have been paying it down every month as agreed with stellar recovery. Even though I still made my payment for November they have turned it in as delinquent to the credit agencies making my score drop 56 points. I have already spoke to them once for this same issue, yet they have done it again. I do not feel I deserve to have it place in collections when I have you been paying it down every single month only owing $36 as it stands after my November payment. I would like it to be taken off collections of my credit report. It's not right for my credit to drop to 56 points which it will not return to even if they take it off now. I have been working very very hard to prove my credit so that I can try and buy a house for myself and my daughter.Desired Settlement: I want them to remove the collection from my credit report since this was our agreement that they would not do if I continued to pay on it every month at the beginning of the month which is when I told them I get my disability. And to not put it into collections again as long as I continue to pay every month between the first and the fifth as I told them I would, and they agreed with.

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. Our records show a collection account was placed into our office in the name of [redacted] on 2-16-2015 from Comcast for services at [redacted]. We show that we did speak with the consumer on two occasions and she indicated that she would make small payments on this file and that she was currently disabled. Our records do show that we began reporting this collection to the credit reporting agencies on 4-9-2015 and we have continued to report updates when any payment was received. The current balance on this file is $35.94 and is the balance being reported to the credit reporting agencies. We do not have a "pay to delete" policy, the credit reporting appears to be correct and when the balance is paid, it was be properly reported as "Paid in Full" to the credit agencies with a zero balance due. We have reviewed all calls made with the consumer and we show no agreement made to not report this collection item on her credit. We do have a responsibility to report correct information, and our records indicate that we are doing that.

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Apparently, I must be mistaken, although I swear they agreed not to report if I kept paying, and for some reason, it has never showed up on my credit report until this month. I follow my credit very closely as I am working to repair it. Sorry for taking your time. I am still pretty confused about it all. Thank you,

Regards,

Complaint- Identity Theft

I was contacted by your agency wrongly and and was treated very poorly as I tried to explain that I was NOT in fact who they were looking for. The representatives name was Jessica and it was on Feb. 10 12:27pmEST. Her attitude was atrocious and I would never speak to someone in that way who was simply professing innocence and asking what can be done in a situation of mistaken identity. I have since contacted "ComCast" and resolved the issue in less then 15 minutes.

I hope this email is taken seriously and forwarded on to your training department.

Review: I was called by this company and they we're 100% unprofessional. When I picked up the phone she ([redacted]) was laughing into the phone, apparently she didn't finish her conversation before dialing and that was apparent throughout the call when she was talking, giggling, and joking with someone there in the office. At the end of the call after she had taken my information and when she got my debit card information she hung up, no confirmation or anything! I was appalled.Desired Settlement: Disciplinary action against the employee and the management for allowing that behavior to take place.

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] indicated that one of our Agents ([redacted]) was unprofessional during a call that was made with the consumer on 01-21-2014. Our quality assurance department did pull the recording with the consumer and our agent. The agent indeed was unprofessional, seemed to be distracted or talking with another employee and was not helpful or attentive on the call. Although Ms. [redacted] is a relatively new employee, her conduct is not excusable or acceptable. A written warning has been completed for this employee and we will be placed in her permanent file with a counseling session, we will also continue to monitor her calls to ensure a customer service experience for consumers. We apologize for the actions, Mr. [redacted]'s file is paid in full.

Review: Stellar Recovery has placed an alleged collection item on my Equifax report on July 2009 for a $70 debt due to [redacted]. This is for a 2002 debt. Three problem with this. First I filed bankrupcy in 2008 and all debt discharged (this encompasses debt known and unknown). Secondly, this is a visolation of California Law in regards to "Statute of Limitation" 2002 -- 2009. There is a seven year span before anything was filed. This is also a violation of the federal bankruptcy law, in which I feel Stellar Recovery feel they can get around these laws.Desired Settlement: I want this matter immediately removed from any bureaus it may be reported. I will accept nothing less.

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. Our records indicate that on 4-25-2013, we did receive a past due billing from [redacted] for a [redacted], for services at [redacted] indicates that this file was charged off on 7-16-2009. We spoke with the consumer on 10-08-2014, according to the recording, Mr. [redacted] updated his address, told the agent this was out of stats in California, that he had never had [redacted], claims he had always had [redacted]. When the the agent attempted to provide more informations, Mr. [redacted] indicated to the agent "He knows what to do and terminated the call." The agent then closed the file as disputed, based on the call and closed and returned the file to the client. A letter of closure was mailed to the customer at the updated addres on 10-16-2014. The consumer did not indicate that a Bankrupcty had been filed during the call with our agent. Our agent properly closed the file as the consumer was difficult and obviously disputed the file. The file is closed and returned to our client and the credit reporting has been ordered deleted.

Regards,

Review: I have tried to contact this company to get a bill taken care of off of my credit report. No one ever answers the phone, I have never received a bill from them, and they will not return my calls. It is continually hurting my credit. When I do call, I get a voicemail stating the name of the business, so I know that I have the right company. However, after leaving 20 plus messages I gave up on trying to take care of the bill.Desired Settlement: I would like the account removed or deleted from my credit report. I feel that after over twenty attempts to pay them that they couldn't even give me a call back that it is only fair that they drop the bill and remove it from my report so that I continue on with my life and repairing my credit.

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of an inquiry made by [redacted]. On 11-28-2011, our office did receive a past due billing from Comcast for services for [redacted] at [redacted]. Our records indicate that a letter was sent to that address on 12-02-2011. The consumer indicates that he has called over 20 times and only gets a voice mail and has had no returned calls. He further indicates that he wants the credit reporting deleted as a result of the number of attempts made to resolve the billing. We receive thousands of inbound calls each day that are routed directly to our agents, we do not know how the calls could have been directed to a voice mail unless the calls were all after normal business hours. Further, our administrative staff also forwards any messages to various agents each day when we do receive a voice mail from a consumer after hours. We show that no contact has been made with [redacted] and we did not have the phone number, provided to the Revdex.com, of [redacted] in our system as a contact phone number. We have placed this file ([redacted]) on hold, and have ordered deletion of the credit reporting as requested by the consumer. The file is still open in our office and Mr. Sansare is welcome to call our office at [redacted] and ask for extension [redacted], or e mail us with any questions or to resolve this file at [redacted]

Review: Reported my payment as a court decision which is not true. This was settled out of court before the date reported to credit agencies (Experian, Transamerica etc). There was no decision and the payment was made which they do not disclose.Desired Settlement: Please show this as a paid recovery and the actual date (which is also mis-represented).

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. Our records show that we did receive an e mail at 9:49pm on 08-04-2015 indicating that we are reporting a "decision against him in Jefferson County Court in Colorado and that it currently is not being reporting as paid." We did open an investigation ticket for this inquiry this morning and responded to Mr. [redacted] and ask if he could provide a copy of what is currently being reported regarding this judgement in order for us to review if it is being reported incorrectly. We do show that a judgement was rendered and that the judgement was paid in May of 2013. If we determine that the reporting is incorrect, we will need to make contact with the attorneys in Colorado and them file the correct pleadings in this matter to the credit reporting agency as Stellar is not the party that is directly reporting this court rendering. We will continue to investigate this matter for Mr. [redacted] and will respond to him as we receive more information.

Review: I just noticed on my credit report a collection from Stellar Recovery for [redacted] and [redacted] for [redacted]. Same account number, same amount. $194 opened in July 2013. The problem is I have NEVER had a [redacted] account!! There must be a clerical mistake or identity theft going on here. But the worst part of this is that neither [redacted] nor Stellar ever not once sent me any kind of bill. If they had we could have avoided all of this. Who doesn't send a invoice or past due notice before sending to a collection agency??? I am extremely upset bc I have working very hard at building my credit and I went to purchase a car the other day and this had lowered my credit score.Desired Settlement: Please contact all 3 credit bureaus to delete this derogatories right away. And also please email and mail me the same document stating it is not me, and also to remove negative items off credit reports ASAP. Thank you.

We did receive notification from [redacted] that the file was placed in error and the file was closed and returned to the client on 09-12-2013. We show that an apology letter was generated on 09-12-2013 as well. Credit reporting for this file was ordered as deleted on the same date. Review: I receive collection calls constantly. I have finally tracked down the source of one of them to this company.

The problem is that I don't have any outstanding collections with anyone. They are looking for the person that had this phone number before I got it and they won't take that as an answer. They keep calling. I have had this phone number for over 4 years and they still continue to call.Desired Settlement: They take my phone number off of their records. They are not looking for me.

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: I noticed there is a negative collection account put on my credit report from stellar recovery inc in the amount of $274.00. Please be advised this not a refusal to pay a debt, but notice pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 USC 1692g Sec. 809 (b) that your claim is disputed and validation is requested. I have no knowledge of this account, I have not received any letters from Stellar recovery to inform me of any debt owed. Please validate: Full Original Account Number Date account opened Any written agreement between myself and original creditor Itemized calculation of alleged debt Please remove this item from my credit report until this debt is validated at which time if this debt is indeed my debt I will make arrangements to pay this debt. This is my attempt to verify the validity of the alleged debt.Desired Settlement: Removed from credit report until I have received debt validation. If I receive debt validation and this is indeed my debt I will take care of the bill.

Our records show that a Comcast file was placed in our office for collections for a [redacted] on 6-7-2014 for services at [redacted]. Our records also show that a letter was mailed to that address on 2-12-2015. We have updated the address provided by the consumer to the Revdex.com, and we have ordered validation documents from our client. If the validation documents are available within 30 days, they will be mailed to the consumer at the updated address, if validation documents are not available within 30 days, a "closure" letter will be mailed to the consumer and the file will be closed and returned to original client.

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and await a satisfactory resolution.

Regards,

I have been called excessively by this company. They are looking for someone who is NOT me, and I have spoken to at least 4 different people that claim my number is "being removed from the list". I am very annoyed that I have to keep receiving these calls.

Review: I previously filed a complaint with the Revdex.com regarding this company. For reference the complaint number was [redacted]. In it I detailed the agreement that was made to remove references to their account from my credit in exchange for full payment. Documentary evidence supporting this was provided. Stellar agreed to do as I had requested and acted. The account was removed from my credit from two bureaus. However, the account still shows on [redacted]. Futhermore, it even still shows as unpaid. Please remove this item from my credit immediately.Desired Settlement: Removal of account from [redacted] credit bureau

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of an inquiry made by [redacted]. This inquiry indicates that credit reporting was still being reported to [redacted] on a the paid in full file in our office. On 10-11-2013, our office did submit a manual AUD deletion to all Credit Reporting Agencies for this account, confirmation # was [redacted]. We did request a credit reporoting audit for this file today and the [redacted] reporting is still reporting incorrectly. [redacted] and [redacted] are properly deleted. We have submitted a new manual AUD deletion to [redacted] today, the new confirmation # is [redacted]. We have mailed a copy of this submission to Mr. [redacted] for his records. We apologize for the error on behalf of [redacted], we are not sure why the deletion was not completed in this matter.

I had a negative experience with this company due to the fact that they never contacted me in writing or with a phone call. I found out about the collections by checking my credit report. In my opinion the damage was already done because I have to wait to purchase a home now, until this comes off my credit.

Review: I have settled my [redacted] bill with Stellar Recovery on April 3rd 2015. They informed me within 72hrs there would no longer be a balance on my credit report. It has been a week and a $319.00 balance still shows on my credit report. I feel that they are untruthful and not honest. They are not professional at there job. I want this deleted off my credit report due to their reporting mistakes.Desired Settlement: I want this deleted off my credit report.

Business

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of an inquiry made by [redacted]. Our records show that we did receive a payment for our file # [redacted] in the amount of $159.33 for a settlement for this file, once received, the file was closed as settled in full on 04-02-2015. Our records further show that we reported to all credit reporting agencies notice of this settlement on 04-09-2015. We did ask for an audit from the credit reporting agencies and they did verify their acceptance of this data. We are a data furnisher and do not have control on the time it may take for the credit reporting agencies to process these requests. As there may have been some confusion regarding this file, we have processed a manual AUD deletion request to all credit reporting agencies regarding this file, confirmation # [redacted] and dated 04-13-2015. Please allow time for the credit reporting agencies to process this deletion.

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards,

Review: Stellar Recovery seems to have purchased an old debt that I paid off in full last year and neglected in any way, shape or form to validate this alleged debt, a clear and direct violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I could not even contact Stellar Recovery directly about this issue because I never received any communication from them in any form. I only became aware that Stellar Recovery was attempting to erroneously collect this debt from me when my credit score began dropping suddenly.

I had to pay for a long form credit report to even learn the name of the creditors reporting me as delinquent. I then filed a complaint through Experian demanding validation of this debt and received nothing. Meanwhile my credit score continued to free-fall. I had been steadily and successfully improving my credit over the last two years and Stellar Recovery's illegal business practices have undone all of my progress.

I have documentation proving this alleged debt was paid through another collection agency some time ago; if Stellar Recovery had attempted any kind of validation in regards to this alleged debt before gutting my credit score, they would have known this.Desired Settlement: Since the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act was clearly and directly violated in Stellar Recovery's refusal to validate this alleged debt in any way before reporting me as delinquent, an immediate removal of the collection from my credit report and a letter of deletion is the only acceptable outcome.

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. Our investigation shows that a file was placed into our office by Charter Communications (We do not own this file and did not purchase this account as stated in the complaint) on 7-27-2015. The address provided by the client was [redacted] and we show a demand letter was mailed to this address on 7-30-2015. We do show that we received in inquiry from the Credit Reporting Agencies on 9-29-2015, this notice was not a demand for validation, that would have to be requested in writing directly from the consumer, this was a notice to verify the debt. The client was notified and indicated that the file still had a balance due, we did update the address from this inquiry (New address was [redacted]) and we show that another demand letter was mailed to the new address on 9-29-2015. Based on the complaint filed with the Revdex.com, we have closed the file as disputed and have ordered deletion of the credit reporting. The file has been returned to the client with the information provided in the complaint. The consumer is welcome to contact the original creditor in the future regarding this case, the original account number with Carter Communications is [redacted].

Review: My ex wife opened a [redacted] account in my name. As soon as I was made aware of this, I called and paid the balance in full. I requested the item be deleted from my credit report as it was an unauthorized account. Now, the credit reports are showing "Settled for less than the full balance". Not only was it paid in full, but I was told it would be deleted completely with my full payment. Please assist.Desired Settlement: Please delete this account from my credit file as agreed.

Our records also show that on 02-24-2014, we spoke with a consumer who said she was the spouse the [redacted], she indicated that she wanted to pay this bill and ask for deletion of the credit reporting, she spoke with both an agent and a manager and was informed that the account would be reported as paid in full to the credit reporting agencies as we do not provide a "Pay to Delete" program. Our credit reporting audit shows this file was paid and has been reporting "Paid in Full" to all credit reporting agencies since 02-25-2014. Based on Mr. [redacted]s statements that the reporting shows a different reporting status (settled for less than full balance), we have ordered a manual deletion of the credit reporting for all credit reporting agencies. Regards,

Review: This company has made numerous Robotic prerecorded duplicated message calls to my home phone asking for a return the call to another 877 number. This prerecorded request sounds suspicious, improper, harassing and not worthy of a return call to another phone number. I have not received a phone call from a live person at Stellar Recovery making an inquiry. I am on the National Do Not Call List. I have never disclosed my home phone number to them. My recent credit check as of today is clean and shows no collections history or complaints.

I have written down the dates and times of the most recent nine Robotic calls made to my home phone since Jan 1 2014. I believe Stellar Recovery has obtained my phone number in error since I have no outstanding overdue debts/billings. There has been no live person contact outside of these repeated calls received by me from Stellar Recovery or any other organization indicating a specific overdue debt or collection problem.Desired Settlement: Result for Stellar Recovery, Inc. to stop placing the phone calls to my home phone. I am requesting that my phone number be removed from their automated call list.

Review: This company is attempting to contact a person named [redacted]. They tell me they are looking for [redacted] from Frisco Tx. My name is [redacted] but I am not the [redacted] they are looking for. They have contacted me on my cell phone numerous times. Each time I have explained that they have found the wrong [redacted]. I have asked them to remove my cell phone number from their records. They keep calling me anyway.

Review: I started to receive calls from this company over a year ago. They are asking for "[redacted]". My wife and myself have stated over and over again that no one lives here by this name. Yet they continue to call my home at all hours of the day and night. One time I was told that they would take my number out of their database and not disturb us anymore. Yet, they continue to call at all hours of he day and night. I considered changing my phone number but why should I? When they are calling for a person that doesn't live here. Even if the person did live here, no one, no company has the right to harass anyone.Desired Settlement: Cease with these harassing calls!! Do not call my home again.

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted] regarding a wrong number being called. Our investigation indicates that we did receive the phone number of ###-###-#### attached to a file under the name of [redacted], we further found that the number was called a total of 9 times from 05-13-2013 until we were notified of the wrong number on 09-20-2013. Our records indicate that the agent did remove the phone number from our system on 09-20-2013 from an inbound call from the consumer. We certainly apologize for the calls but do show we removed the number when we were notified. We have also placed this number into our "Do Not Call" list in the event that the number is attached to any new placement we receive. If the consumer has any additional concerns, they are welcome to communicate further with our office at ###-###-#### and ask for [redacted].
