the complaint describes. Student Assist Plus accepts referral business from many different types of companies. Some of which may offer the type of service Mr. [redacted] is referring to. However, our company does not offer this service. We have contacted the client about his subscription service but unfortunately we are unable to address his claim for the $600 since it was directed toward the incorrect company. We would be glad to resolve his issue with his subscription service if he can return our phone call back at [redacted]. As more people tell me this is a scam, of course I start reading more and I was under the impression that the $30 a month was to help with the loan forgiveness that apparently we can do for free with FedLoan and I've paid hundreds for what...tax hotlines and credit monitoring? I haven't used it once and don't plan on it. Awesome.

The following phone conversations have taken place with Ms. [redacted]'s mother, who has acted as a Power of Attorney on her daughter's behalf. 
We have all recorded conversations between our staff and the person who represented [redacted] for the following days:
12/29 Spoke to one representative
01/14 Spoke to one representative
01/26 Spoke to two representatives
02/01 Spoke to manager
If Ms. [redacted] would like, we can continue to resolve this matter amicably if we are able to speak directly with [redacted] and not her mother. Unfortunately, her mother has caused distress among our staff. 
We would like to come to a mutual agreement so that Ms. [redacted] is satisfied with the outcome. We do not wish for any unhappiness or discontent for Ms. [redacted]. Please let us know how we can help.

Student Assist Plus is a member-benefit program where clients are referred to us via third parties that offer separate services. We do not provide document preparation services for student loans nor do we offer to reduce monthly payments. We wish Mr. [redacted] the best and hope he is satisfied with a full refund of his Student Assist Plus fees even though his request fell outside of the normal refund parameters.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.The response from the company is a completely false aligation. I have not spoken to a single representative on the phone since this complaint was posted. I did receive an angry email from one of their representatives on 2/1/16 demanding I remove this complaint because I was mistaken about the nature of their company. I told him that I'd look into his claims further when I got home and I'd check my bank statements to see if what he said was true (if it was I agreed to remove my complaint, if not I would leave it). He said this was fine with him and sent me some "proof" from his end. I did not however get a change to look in to my own documents since I have been in and out of the hospital dealing with my pregnancy. When I got my most recent message from the Revdex.com this morning I realized I had forgotten all about this complaint with everything else going on so I logged in to read the company's response. I have never spoken nor typed a single curse word or derogatory remark towards any individual who works at or for this company. I do not appreciate this company's attempt to defame my character by publishing libelous claims against me. I will happily provide my phone records as well as the email correspondence between myself and the individual I "talked" to in order to prove their statement in false.

We respectfully disagree with Ms. [redacted]’s rejection of our
response. Student Assist Plus does not ask for this information from our
clients. Ms. [redacted] has not been charged for any services by our company. In
addition, no representatives of Student Assist Plus have ever spoken with Ms.
[redacted].
Our business is referral-based; we do not contact a member
directly until they have enrolled into our membership program by making an
initial payment. No payment was ever processed for Ms. [redacted] as she never
proceeded beyond the initial agreement with the company she contracted with. To
summarize, Ms. [redacted]’s agreement with the company she contracted with was
never agreed to by Ms. [redacted] therefore her information and application details
would not be referred to our company.

My experiences with Student Assist Plus have been fantastic. Very positive and helpful.

Yair's customer service was competent and friendly. I'd definitely recommend him and student assist plus.

Third party services are used all the time: the car wash, a gardener, a taxaccountant, a babysitter, etc. In the same instance, some borrowers wouldprefer to use our services instead of doing it on their own. In regards to therepresentative at the Department of Education, servicers can misinterpret theservices we provide because all of the facts are not being given. Although I could do all the student loan stuff myself, for me it's worth paying Student Assist Plus $30 a month to do it for me. The staff is knowledgeable and courteous, and it's much easier to deal with them than my student loan servicer ([redacted]).
