I had the pleasure of working with Yair A today. Mr. A is perhaps one of the most helpful, knowledgable, courteous phone representatives I have ever dealt with.
Mr. Avila is a representative with Student Assist Plus. SAP is a student loan service company. In my many years of dealing with phone reps., he by far met my needs and exceeded my expectations.
I write this in all sincerity, both as a consumer, and former telephone rep.

clearly mistaken as we do not offer
the service she discusses in her complaint.
 
Student Assist Plus is a member-benefit program that accepts
referral business from other companies. Just to clarify, we do not offer the
services Ms. [redacted] discusses nor do we charge a fee of $233.
 
We apologize for any inconvenience and have cancelled Ms. [redacted] from Student Assist Plus. She has not been charged our monthly fee of $29.99.

Yair Avila with Student Assist Plus was very helpful in helping me better understand what was going on with my student loan consolidation.

I was told that I was speaking with student assist plus, not any other affiliates.

initiated a full refund on her behalf due to any inconvenience she experienced. However, had Ms. [redacted] simply called our customer service department for an update, she would have been told her application would be filed shortly. We help thousands of clients with their applications and would simply not be in business if we are a "scam" as Ms. [redacted] states. 
We urge our clients to understand what is available to them before claiming fraud or scam. The real victims of scams are the millions of borrowers out there who diligently make their student loan payments while never exploring the government benefits that may be available to them.  We ask that borrowers dig deeper into lawsuits such as the one against Sallie Mae for over $139 million dollars or the even more recent lawsuit against Navient. Hello [redacted], Thank you for your assistance. We received the complaint from [redacted], formerly [redacted]. A manager attempted to resolve the complaint and called the client during this time. 01/24/2018 11:13 AM The phone call rang and then a busy signal.01/24/2018 1:43 PM...

[redacted] answered the call then promptly hung up on a manager. No conversation was able to take place. A manager attempted to call back several times afterwards but each phone call was rejected. Due to the shortened length of the call, no resolution was able to be made. We provided membership services to the client over the course of her membership. Under her membership, she received the following services: Credit Monitoring, Identity Theft Monitoring, Tax Hotline, and [redacted]. Due to the client’s dissatisfaction with our services, we would like to speak with her in order to help resolve her claim. We apologize if she was unhappy with any services rendered. We would like the opportunity to improve on our services and resolve [redacted]’s claim. Thank you, Management

I had s great time on the phone with Yair from student assist plus. He was able to help me prevent from paying dues on my forbearance. He is a very nice assistant , very polite and had awareness that I was calling from overseas and also saved me time from spending more money. All in all I had a great experience

We are sorry you had a difficult time with one of the representatives and you are unhappy with the service. However, in the notes, it states that the client's mother called in and berated our customer service staff. All of the reported facts are truthful and in order to maintain peaceful communication, we do not wish to speak to the mother in regards to your account.

speak to your company about this problem. The managers of company's every time I called to cancel my membership they would talk me into keeping services because It's Helping me with my debit! That is FALSE !

The response from the company is a completely false aligation. I have not spoken to a single representative on the phone since this complaint was posted. I did receive an angry email from one of their representatives on 2/1/16 demanding I remove this complaint because I was mistaken about the nature of their company. I told him that I'd look into his claims further when I got home and I'd check my bank statements to see if what he said was true (if it was I agreed to remove my complaint, if not I would leave it). He said this was fine with him and sent me some "proof" from his end. I did not however get a change to look in to my own documents since I have been in and out of the hospital dealing with my pregnancy. When I got my most recent message from the Revdex.com this morning I realized I had forgotten all about this complaint with everything else going on so I logged in to read the company's response. I have never spoken nor typed a single curse word or derogatory remark towards any individual who works at or for this company. I do not appreciate this company's attempt to defame my character by publishing libelous claims against me. I will happily provide my phone records as well as the email correspondence between myself and the individual I "talked" to in order to prove their statement in false.

Unfortunately, her mother has caused distress among our staff. We would like to come to a mutual agreement so that Ms. [redacted] is satisfied with the outcome. Yair A was wonderful in his assistance with my issues.

All [redacted] wanted was more and more money. Every time I called them they threatened me. I sent [redacted] the letters and told him the situation and he was able to help calm me down as well as explain why I didn't need to pay the money [redacted] was trying to trick me into paying. Student Assist Plus has been great, but [redacted] made me feel so comfortable with the process and explained everything so I really understood"

Every phone call is pleasant and always very helpful.

Student Assist Plus reviews all complaints to ensure we are

complaint was made to the
wrong company. Student Assist Plus is a member-benefit program; our company
does not complete loan applications nor do we take an upfront processing fee.
 
Student Assist Plus accepts referral business from many
different types of companies some of which may offer the type of service Mr.
[redacted] is referring to. However, just to clarify once more, our company does
not offer this service.
 
We wish Mr. [redacted] the best of luck and hope his complaint finds
the right party.

Thank you for your swift response and for placing a notice on my account. Please understand that whomever claimed to represent you was from the number I called and did require that information. If the company does in fact send out mailers to help students, there needs to be a disclaimer on the notice assuring recipients of the legitimacy of the company. Also, there should not have to be "closing costs" to switch a student from one servicing company to another, this creates a high amount of tension for students like me, who already owe significant debt.

Like any payment plan or loan taking on-it's complicated. However, when talking to anyone at Student Assist Plus they are able to talk to you like a human and answer any questions you have, and I mean answer ANY questions you have. Manuel helped me the last time I called and was very helpful in what I needed.

You took my money and you never did what you were supposed to do I'm demanding my money back or I'm calling the attorney general

I appreciate the speedy response. However, I feel that I should receive a full refund of $199.96(all four payments made to Student Assist Plus). Instead of just $59.98 (a total of two $29.99 payments).
