Review: My account was wrongfully terminated.

My account at opinionoutpost.com was terminated, and I contacted customer support to be told that I violated the terms of service by creating multiple accounts. I was given the email addresses that were allegedly used by me to create multiple accounts. I responded that I have never seen those email addresses and that I did nothing that was a violation of the terms. I was not responded too, and attempts to contact the company again were ignored.Desired Settlement: I would like my account re-opened.

Review: [redacted] is an app I used to take surveys. I was getting the money I earned, when suddenly, I couldn't access my account. They got quite rude in their replies, saying no one else is having issues with app, which is false, I've read reviews and some people have had same issues I am currently experiencing a year ago. My issue is they are not returning emails or phone calls I am sending. I earned 9.00 which isn't a lot, but I earned it and want it. Is there anything Revdex.com can do to help me?Desired Settlement: Earned$9.00 in [redacted] credit codes, and that is what I'd like

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely,

Review: I have been a member on Opinion Outpost for an extended period of time and have utilized their services to a great extent but as time has went on the quality of the Customer Service of the site has been lessening to a very unhealthy degree. I have made numerous attempts to contact the business about their surveys which I have encountered errors yet to no avail as I have been sent the same automated message from their representatives every time:Hello %s,We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. This survey %s is still currently open. Because the survey did not direct back to your account, we must verify your participation with the client when the study is closed. If you did complete the survey, your account will be credited within 2-4 weeks.Thank you for your patience. After I would reply to their message they would either send me another useless message or not reply to me at all. I have undergone this frustration from this website for a very long time and felt like I was being cheated out of my own points but I am not filing the complaint solely for that purpose. I recently sent another inquiry about a survey error asking precisley not to send me an autmoated message but to really acknowledge my problem here is what I sent:I just finished this very long and time consuming 55 minute survey to be given a message saying I did not qualify at the end which is completely bogus in my opinion! I want my 50 points back or I will file a complaint against this buissness. DO NOT GIVE ME THE SAME AUTOMATED MESSAGE SAYING THE SURVEY IS STILL OPEN AND I WILL HAVE TO WAIT A COUPLE OF WEEKS EITHER. Thank YouSurvey: [redacted]n all Caps I tried to get the message out that I didn't want a generic message in hopes it would catch their eye but to no avail Moniaria from the Opinion Outpost Helpdesk did not even bother to look at the message! Again let me reiterate that this has happened a great number of times and I have been denied MANY points because of this. notEnoughCharactersDesired Settlement: I want the points I worked hard for in regards to survey [redacted] and many others I have been denied. A settlement of at LEAST 200 Opinion Points is what I am looking for.

Business

Response:

Hello Kareem,

You will be pleased to know that your Opinion Outpost account has just been credited with the 50 Opinion points reward offered for [redacted] You may verify this by visiting your Survey History section.

Let me point out that our clients record IDs of respondents that complete their studies. And their list of Completed IDs is not available to us until after the study is off field (closed). You are advised by helpdesk to wait 2-4 weeks after your participation, because it actually takes that long for a study to run and for the client to send us their final list of completed IDs. Only after a study is off field will we be able to receive that list from the client. We try to explain this to our members--that not every survey they complete on our site will immediately credit their account with the reward offered. There are really times we have to wait for the client to verify the respondent's participation. If you still have any pending tickets with our helpdesk, please feel free to follow up on them.

Thank you!

Kind regards,

Susan Evans

I am rejecting this response because:

Review: This company calls me repeatedly, multiple times a day. Each time they call I follow the directions on their website to have my number removed from their call list. I send an email and I leave a voicemail as they instruct. And still they call me, 5-7 times per day. This has been going on for 6 months. They refuse to take me off their list. I have never heard of this company nor have I signed up with them. When I try to block the number they are calling from, they just call from a different number. This company is harassing me and I have found no way to get them to stop.

Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation)

I want SSI to stop calling me and I want verification from them in writing that I have been permanently removed from their list.

To whom this may concern:

We have reviewed the complaint filed against SSI. We appreciate your bringing this matter to our attention and allowing us to address the issue. Let us assure you that SSI is not a telemarketing company. We are a market research data collection organization. We conduct survey research via the telephone and provide the data in a tabulated format to our client. This data is not associated with the name of the respondent, nor is the respondent contacted later for the purpose of any telemarketing-type activities. We do not solicit sales, nor do we provide any type of sales leads through our interviewing process. Our industry is not required to maintain a ''do not call list'' at this time, but as a courtesy, SSI has chosen to do so. The list is updated in each of our calling facilities throughout the year.

The phone number in question was most likely generated randomly and was included in our study with many other randomly generated phone numbers from selected markets. We have added [redacted]'s telephone number (XXX-XXX-XXXX) to our internal Do Not Call list. Please be aware it may take up to 48 hours for the phone number to be updated through all our databases.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Review: I have been a member of this panel for more than 2 years. when I tried to cashout out my reward points with paypal I got a message saying my account was "terminated for non compliance" I contacted the Opinion Outpost helpdesk and they told me it was because I had more than one account. I have been through this before, and the last person I emailed in July 2013 told me they had removed my accounts with OpinionWorld and SurveySpot. So I contacted them about why my account was terminated and they still say I have more than one account and they refuse to reactivate my account and give me my money I worked so hard for. This company cant be trusted!Desired Settlement: I would like my account with OpinionOutpost with my email [redacted] reactivated or my points of 630 which is $63.00, I worked so hard to earn this and they refuse to give it to me.

Review: I've received at least 5 calls from this company in 2 days. If I pick up the phone there's silence and eventual dial tone. If I let the answering machine take it, they never leave a message. Review: My account was terminated unfairly.

I had been a member of [redacted] for almost five months, and for the most part had a pleasant experience. However, as I review my general 'sent' emails, most of them were sent to your help desk. Daily I would take a half hour's worth of surveys and not receive my due credits; however I was patient, and remained with the site. I would contact the help desk. and when I didn't receive a response, I would call the ever-helpful customer service number, in which I would be put in contact with an employee who either sounded bored, or disinterested, if not a mix of the two. I have never violated any of the rules or guidelines, but a few weeks ago,a day after I cashed out (thankfully) when logging into my account, I was told it was frozen. I had to send COUNTLESS emails, and call twice, just to receive a botched response as to why. I was given the run around for four days, before I was told it was due to the fact that I took multiple surveys at once-which I NEVER did. At this point, I felt it was fruitless to contest, because with your employees, you get absolutely nowhere. I feel as if I was targeted because of how much money I was accumulating weekly, and apparently I was taking money out of your pockets. I worked hard on surveys, as well as the products that companies would send me, to provide genuine and honest feedback. I still had completed surveys with incentives unaccounted for, but after awhile, I didn't pursue it, and this is what I get in return.Desired Settlement: Renewal of my account.

Review: This is a website for panelists to take surveys and earn points for taking surveys and also entries into their $10,000 quarterly drawing. Well I have contacted surveyspot with the technical issues their website has had for over 5 days. The problem is I am not able to participate in taking surveys thus denying me the possible points I could be earning for completing a survey and all the entries I have been denied in the quarterly drawing which you receive even if you do not qualify for the survey. Their response is they are aware of the issue and are working on it, well like I said the problem has been going on for over 5 days now. This tells me that their IT department is incompetent and cannot resolve the issue thus denying me points which are used to claim money, gift certificates etc. Not to mention all the lost entries into their quarterly drawing. This is bad business practice and is against their published business practices. I find this to be totally unacceptable as they have cost me points for gifts and entries into their quarterly drawing.

Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund

My desired settlement which is more than fair is for Surveyspot to credit my account with 2500 points and also 50 entries into their quarterly drawing, as if their website was working and I was able to take surveys I had this potential or earning the points and entries I am asking for in a settlement which is more than fair. And most of all for them to fix their website so I am able to take surveys.

Business

Response:

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2013/06/15) */

To whom this may concern:

It has been confirmed that the issue with accessing surveys through the "Take a Survey" button and/or general survey invites has already been fixed. Our apologies for the inconvenience you encountered during this period. However, SSI will not credit your account points or prize draw entries you "could have" earned had you been able to access surveys to participate during that time. Points can only be credited if you are listed as a complete for a survey you actually took. And prize draw entries are given for every survey opportunity you complete or disqualify from. We see that you were able to successfully complete a survey on your SurveySpot account last 6/14/2013 and have been able to access survey opportunities since then. Please review your profiles and see that they have been filled out correctly and contain up-to-date information, to allow you the opportunity to complete surveys.

Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2013/06/18) */

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.)

The companies response to a settlement is unacceptable, as I was unable to take surveys for a week, their site was not working properly and that is my fault? It is my belief that they should take responsibility and do the right thing for their customers which they have not done in their response. If their site was working like it was suppose to I would have earned many points and drawings into the quarterly $10,000 and I have lost many opportunities to do so for a week. I am tired of companies not taking responsibility and doing the right thing to satisfy their customers. Where has customer service gone in this country?

Consumer Response /* (-5, 9, 2013/06/18) */

I would like to add an additional comment to Survey International's response to them not accepting my settlement. They stated points and entries are earned for taking surveys. Well that was impossible to do with their site being down for a week. So their response to my settlement does not make sense and is null and void since I was not able to take surveys like I am supposed to be able to do if they had their site up in a timely manner, but being down for a week is not a timely manner and it tells me they have an insufficient IT department. So again I do not accept their response and their willingness not to accept my settlement offer.

Review: daily I recv calls from this company. the call is from ###-###-####they never leave a message, I have no business with this company and never have. I am reluctant to contact them as other people have stated they hang up on them, curse at them, just hear music no person, etc etc. The company states they do not have to abide by the do not call registry however I do not want calls from them. others who have called to complain have been told by [redacted] that they can and will call and others reported they tried removing their number from their website/or by phone and they still call them doing exactly what they do to me. Thank you so much for any help you can provide in this matter.Desired Settlement: I would like my name, number, any/all info removed from their data base.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I would however like to know with regards to what they were continuing to call/harass me for. What business/etc my name/number was affiliated with. thank you kindly.

Sincerely,

Review: I am forced to file a complaint regarding [redacted] practice of not issuing a cash reward after collecting enough points for surveys taken.

I have recently registered with [redacted], have been taken surveys for month, I don't have complaint regarding awards for survey completion, my points were fairly marked on time as - earned.

However, after I have collected 110 points, I wanted to try their reward system - 100 points needed for 10$ value reward, so I wanted to convert those points to 10$ to my verified Business [redacted] (as on provider's site noted - just verified [redacted] are accepted, thus I have fulfilled their rule).

However, when I tried to cashout reward, the site gave me nonsense explanations, stating errors, I have contacted support and helpdesk few times, they were trying to blame "[redacted]" (without [redacted] it's not possible to solve those surveys anyway) "cache" or browser, but being an IT specialist and security expert myself,I knew it's all automated nonsense, so when I pointed them out that [redacted] is not the problem as it's already enabled, they changed their story to "same state as registered" when trying to cashout reward - which is no where noted on their site as rule.

So I am filling my complaint against them for not issuing me my reward - and my motivation is solely based on that this is NOT the first time they face such problems nor that I am only one of their customers that faced that "clear cashe, enable [redacted]" advice from them, without reward being issued on [redacted].Desired Settlement: 10$ to my [redacted] business account [redacted]

Business

Response:

To whom this may concern:Our records show that [redacted] successfully redeemed only 100 Opinion points (worth $10) for cash via our [redacted] reward option on 2/13/2014. He did not redeem his remaining 10 Opinion points (worth $1).Thank you.Kind regards,[redacted]Respondent Relations Specialist

Review: Company cancels account, invalidating effort, refuses to reinstate account without considerable effort, holds promised payment hostage.

This company is an online survey company that pays participants in redeemable "points". These points are awarded upon conclusion of various surveys, and can be redeemed for cash or gift card credit once certain thresholds are reached. The company has, on multiple occasions, frozen, locked, or otherwise denied me access to my account. In so doing they likewise refuse access to, and prevent redemption of, accumulated points on the account.

Payment is not immediate upon completion of offered surveys, but accumulate until a certain limit is reached, and can then be redeemed once that minimum threshold is reached. Because points must be redeemed for value, and because points are only gained after successful completion of surveys, freezing the account, and denying access to, and redemption of, already accumulated point functions, in effect, a refusal to compensate participants for work already performed.

The company has, so far, engaged in a pattern of this behavior, allowing points to be accumulated (which is done through successful completion of surveys, from which the business itself derives profit) and then preventing redemption by the panel member. On 4 separate occasions my account has been mysteriously, and without warning, "frozen". Only after lengthy and protracted discussion with their customer service team (consisting, it seems, of one individual), is the account restored. Then locked again for equally mysterious reasons some days later.

While the company does of course reserve the right to ban fraudulent or inadequate accounts, each time the ban has been protested it results, eventually, and with seeming great reluctance, in reactivation. I've committed no violation, broken no rule, and have had my account restored each and every time.

I believe this to be an intentional and malicious pattern of behavior on behalf of this company, in which they deliberately seek to lure panelists to their site, have them engage in survey activity (which gains them profit) and then mysteriously, and without provocation or warning "freeze" the account, thus denying compensation to their panelists for work performed. Only when (and if) this action is protested, does the company begrudgingly restore the account.

They then freeze it again within days, and repeat this cycle.

This appears to be a deliberate and calculated effort to minimize paying the promised compensation, while still reaping the benefits of the member participation. Deliberate effort to avoid paying promised compensation constitutes a fraudulent act.Desired Settlement: I wish my account reinstated, to be allowed to redeem accumulated points, and to continue as a panelist without undue manipulation or cancellation of my account without cause.

Review: This company has called our business several times over the last 2-3 weeks to ask us about our telephone service. We have spoken with them more than a dozen times in the last 2 weeks, and every time we have asked them not to contact us again. At 9 am this morning we asked them again not to contact us, but at 1 pm we received another phone call from them. Review: This company continues to call my home in Louisiana, from several different [redacted] phone numbers. Sometimes the numbers are out of state, but here lately they have been local calls. When we answer, 9 times out of ten, the caller hangs up without saying a word. When someone does respond we ask to be removed from their call list and then we get hung up on. Return calls to these numbers all lead to a canned reply message for us to visit their website. The website, however, has no option for removing my number from their list. Also, no one ever answers the phone at the number provided on the website. All calls go to a voicemail box. Of course, we have never received a return call to address the situation.Desired Settlement: I want the phone calls to stop IMMEDIATELY.
