Great work from the crew who installed the new heater and a/c unit

Excellent service no questions left unanswered

This is an accounting of the facts surrounding a complaint I made to Christian Brothers regarding what I felt was an excessive bill I spoke to a manager on the phone, and ultimately she agreed to refund 50% of the charge under the condition that I submit a review to Revdex.com stating the matter was resolved to my satisfaction
There are many contractors out there: one is always well-advised to “ask around”, and to consult Yelp and the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) before making a choice
The problem began when the tenant renting this home changed out the light bulbs in the ceiling fan, after which the fan would no longer operate The tenant called us, but we were out of town on family business; normally we handle problems in our rental homes She volunteered that she had a neighbor who was an electrician and maybe she could call him, so we said “OK, fine” But the neighbor was unavailable, so, unbeknownst to us, she picked Christian Brothers Electric out of the phone book, thinking that with a name like “Christian Brothers”, they must be honest (a common thing to do, apparently, based on a thorough reading of Yelp and Revdex.com)
The technician arrived and phoned my wife for approval to make repairs; while she was involved with a family urgency and cannot recall his exact words, it was presented as a situation requiring urgent attention, and so she gave permission for him to proceed, still thinking that this was the neighbor
The technician wrote on the contract:
“I arrived to look at MiscElectrical
I discovered that the wiring to the fan was incorrect and was arcing due to bad connections in the switch box
I gave a further diagnostic charge of $to diagnose a further issue
I corrected the wiring and the fan came on and worked properly“
Upon our return, we went over to inspect the work We found that the fan control switch had failed, and that the Christian Brothers electrician had merely bypassed it by connecting the wires with a wire nut He also apparently had tightened a wire nut in an adjacent switch box He did not replace the fan control, but left it to be controlled by the pull-chains on the fan itself
For this, he charged $389, less a $“coupon”, so we paid $
It took less than minutes for us to inspect his work and to replace the fan control switch
Subsequently, I phoned Christian Brothers and told the receptionist that I wanted to dispute a bill She informed me that the manager that handled such things was not there that day but would call me back the next day, which she did She informed me that “the technicians set the price”, and that this technician had “had no complaints before”, that they “charge by the job”, “not time”, using a “book” of some sort
I explained that we have managed property for years and manage almost doors, and that I found this price way out of line with the norm, and that I had read the reviews of Christian Brothers on Yelp and the Revdex.com Finally she asked me what I wanted, and we agreed on the 50% refund as stated above While I wish that I had never had to complain, it was nice to have my complaint resolved quickly, without having to pursue it further

On 6-14-CBrothers wrote up a contract for $6,less $a management discountThe air conditioning/heating unit was installed on 6-15-17.Ron the main installer was on his head set talking to other people all day I was trying to get information from him it was a wait, wait situation for me I wanted to tell him the unit had a bend in the outside of the unitThey never told me I found it or they would have been long gone and I would have a damaged unitWe had gone from air cond to heat pump as well they replaced the furnace with an *** *** .There was a amp breaker for the furnace Ron replaced that with a 50amp George came out fours later and he replaced the with a amp and also done other checking on the job and later found burnt relayIt was probably caused by wires not tight on or about 7-1-I checked the filteer on that day also and found they had crammed my old filter into the unit which was an improper fit completelyThey are lucky to have George

Great customer service from George B*** at Christian Brothers Plumbing Heating & Air
He showed up on time, diagnosed the no heat from heat pump problem, gave me the different options and prices of each fix, and answered any question I had and then fixed the problem with the option that fit my needs, at a very reasonable priceI would highly recommend this company and MrB*** for your heating and air conditioning needs

Purchased a protection plan for A/C and heating system in Thought is was a year agreement and found out it was a revolving charge So I contacted Christian Brothers on 6/22/to cancel this contract Spoke to a Sheila and told her what I wanted to do and she said I would have to speak to a Joy, so I was transferred to Joy I explained that I wanted to cancel this service and she asked as to why and I stated to her I wast not happy with the previous services She said okay as of 6/22/it would be cancelled On 7/17/my credit card was charged again I called them and was told I was to early for the office I called back and asked to speak to Joy and was told she was in a meeting At that time the person on the phone said to cancel a service it had to be done by email, I proceeded to tell them that was not what I was told in JuneThen had my husband call back in the afternoon and he was told Joy was in a meeting Asked what time does the office close, was tol

This company came to us very highly recommended and we met with their top service manager, Mike E*** and then with a service/sales person, Jon Temper and between the of them we were convinced that we were making the correct decision to replace both of our units for top of the line Carrier unitsWe ran into a bump during install when both units were placed on our roof with wrong modelsI didn't pick up on it until the crane had left and called it to the attention of CBThey immediately ceased everything and within hours had the correct units delivered and the crane back and they stayed until 10:that evening completing the installEveryone is capable of making an error but it is how they deal with it and correct it that defines the culture of that company and CB passed with flying colorsThey also cleaned our ducts the next day and all personnel involved were outstandingInstall was ramrodded by Ron M***very dedicated, knowledgeablehis asst was Donny W*** who also did yeoman workDuct cleaning was done by a young man, Aspen S*** and assisted by EricVery clean job and well doneGeorge Banks came in at the end and tied everything up with his spot on assessments of the issues of wiring the new Wi Fi thermostats and his final quality controlOver all AWESOME job and we highly recommend them for anyone looking to upgrade their AC'sThis also showed us how they will be in the future to deal with as we go forward with the maintenanceThank You ! By the way, the 2-stage units are working as good if not better than you said they would

A gentleman arrived with his young son, both in uniform (white shirts and badges etc.) it was $to walk over the front door step (OK a while ago now!)
My toilet handle had broken and the faucet near the floor would not turn to close off water
He said $580, yes five hundred and eighty dollars for just these SMALL repairs, $!!!!
I didn't want the son to hear what I was going to say, so I motioned the man aside and told him his charges were ASININE and to get out of my house I live in a senior retirement town and it is disgusting these companies can come in and scam seniors like this
I wrote to the local paper to warn others, but I was not allowed to mention their name, so I just told of the problem, the cost and said "Not very christian of these brothers"

we had problem with the cooling system, AC unit that's located on the roof After putting the request in for the service, the technician arrived within an hourThe Technician Jon T, had a great customer service, was polite , and professional, as he explained the problem with the AC unit The problem was fixed quickly after we agreed on the price
I would strongly recommend this company

We responded to an ad to have our air conditioners serviced On May a tech came out and said one of the ACs needed Freon and the tech tried to sell my wife an air conditioner instead He told her that if the AC goes out we just wasted $on Freon She was worried and called me We said no to a new AC That night we noticed the AC was not working after spending $on Freon The AC motor was not going on On May we called the company and told them the AC was not working at all The same tech came out on the 13th and discovered the circuit breaker was tripped but tried to sell me a new AC this time I told him we could not afford a new AC as I was about to have surgery to remove cancer and it was going to cost $5, He advised us to replace the circuit breaker from a amp to a amp We asked him how much it would cost and he said $ He knew we didn't know anything about this so I said okay thinking that my wife would have air while I was in the hospital

Glenn provided top notch customer service - offered many options and service plans (with out the salesy "push") and was finished working promptlyWill use Christian Brothers again for sure, and would recommend them to others!

I contacted Christian Brothers on Monday morning regarding a plumbing issue By early afternoon, Joe arrived to fix my problem He was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable He fixed my problem quickly and explained to me exactly what he had done I will definitely use them in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone!

The water to the house had to be turned off at the water main as the shutoff valve had corroded
The technician diagnosed the problem and gave me four options to fix it with each option being a different priceThe least expensive option was $The parts for this repair would cost less than $and the technician was there less than an hour
Since the tenants did not have running water in the house, I had to proceed because the water had been off for almost hoursMore than $for labor???? I would not recommend Christian Brothers Plubing and Electrical to anyone

Possibly Best customer service ever...might want to cut down on phone calls
