Had Christian Bros do some plumbing work for me on 4/10/Involved connecting water lines to a hot water heater already in place (replacement for heater I had already removed) Work was satisfactory and took about 2& 1/hours Charge was $which I feel was outrageous Would never consider using company again

A gentleman arrived with his young son, both in uniform (white shirts and badges etc.) it was $to walk over the front door step (OK a while ago now!)
My toilet handle had broken and the faucet near the floor would not turn to close off water
He said $580, yes five hundred and eighty dollars for just these SMALL repairs, $!!!!
I didn't want the son to hear what I was going to say, so I motioned the man aside and told him his charges were ASININE and to get out of my house I live in a senior retirement town and it is disgusting these companies can come in and scam seniors like this
I wrote to the local paper to warn others, but I was not allowed to mention their name, so I just told of the problem, the cost and said "Not very christian of these brothers"

This company charges $to walk through a house to give an estimate on replacing smoke detectors They do not examine the detectors or the system at all A quote could easily be done over the phone I was warned that there would be a service fee, but I was not aware that no service would be provided Paying someone to walk through my house to receive a high quote is a rip off
I was able to call other companies and get a quote over the phone

Called their 480-377-number twice before they opened for business on Monday - April after a.mPressed for emergency service and the phone just rang and rangCalling the same number just after 7:am it was answeredStating my two problems - water shut value broke for the toilet and drain stopper for the bath tub needed to be replaced, the lady stated their service tech was out on a call which should last only minutesI would be his next service she told meAt am a male dispatcher calls me and says their service tech is minutes from seeing meAt pm I finally call the phone number above and get the same male dispatcher, who tells me the service tech is on his wayAn hour later at pm he showsThe service tech Joe, tells me I'm his second service call of the day
Once I told him my two problems for the service call, his prices kept going up and downAfter setting on a price, it took him less than minutes to fix both repairs
Will never use this company again, nor will I recommend them to anybody!!!

I sent an email to Christian Brothers on Sunday and received a call back first thing Monday morning to schedule an appointment The scheduler was very accommodating and was able to schedule a technician for after the same dayBarry Bridge arrived right on time, and he took the time to explain exactly what our electrical problem was and what he would do to repair it He fixed it quickly and made sure I understood and was completely satisfied with his work Barry also asked what other electrical issues we might have and offered an estimate for an unrelated problem while he was here I really appreciate his professionalism and will definitely call Christian Brothers again!

Louie V*** was sent to my home to repair my AC He was very considerate and I had a positive experience Although our AC needed to be replaced Louis did everything he could to give us options I would highly recommend this company to anyone in the way of price and efficiencyThanks Louis!

WOW! BEST customer service I have ever had

This is an accounting of the facts surrounding a complaint I made to Christian Brothers regarding what I felt was an excessive bill I spoke to a manager on the phone, and ultimately she agreed to refund 50% of the charge under the condition that I submit a review to Revdex.com stating the matter was resolved to my satisfaction
There are many contractors out there: one is always well-advised to “ask around”, and to consult Yelp and the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) before making a choice
The problem began when the tenant renting this home changed out the light bulbs in the ceiling fan, after which the fan would no longer operate The tenant called us, but we were out of town on family business; normally we handle problems in our rental homes She volunteered that she had a neighbor who was an electrician and maybe she could call him, so we said “OK, fine” But the neighbor was unavailable, so, unbeknownst to us, she picked Christian Brothers Electric out of the phone book, thinking that with a name like “Christian Brothers”, they must be honest (a common thing to do, apparently, based on a thorough reading of Yelp and Revdex.com)
The technician arrived and phoned my wife for approval to make repairs; while she was involved with a family urgency and cannot recall his exact words, it was presented as a situation requiring urgent attention, and so she gave permission for him to proceed, still thinking that this was the neighbor
The technician wrote on the contract:
“I arrived to look at MiscElectrical
I discovered that the wiring to the fan was incorrect and was arcing due to bad connections in the switch box
I gave a further diagnostic charge of $to diagnose a further issue
I corrected the wiring and the fan came on and worked properly“
Upon our return, we went over to inspect the work We found that the fan control switch had failed, and that the Christian Brothers electrician had merely bypassed it by connecting the wires with a wire nut He also apparently had tightened a wire nut in an adjacent switch box He did not replace the fan control, but left it to be controlled by the pull-chains on the fan itself
For this, he charged $389, less a $“coupon”, so we paid $
It took less than minutes for us to inspect his work and to replace the fan control switch
Subsequently, I phoned Christian Brothers and told the receptionist that I wanted to dispute a bill She informed me that the manager that handled such things was not there that day but would call me back the next day, which she did She informed me that “the technicians set the price”, and that this technician had “had no complaints before”, that they “charge by the job”, “not time”, using a “book” of some sort
I explained that we have managed property for years and manage almost doors, and that I found this price way out of line with the norm, and that I had read the reviews of Christian Brothers on Yelp and the Revdex.com Finally she asked me what I wanted, and we agreed on the 50% refund as stated above While I wish that I had never had to complain, it was nice to have my complaint resolved quickly, without having to pursue it further

Mike came out to service my A/C unit today and I must say that I can't remember the last time I received such exceptional customer serviceHe was extremely thorough in checking out both my units including the part in the attic and even took pictures to be able to show me different things that needed attention and explained everything in detailMy unit is years old and very noisyI know it is just a matter of time before it quits on me, but Christian Brothers has kept it running strong this longMike was not pushy at all, but I appreciated his advice and will be replacing my unit with Christian Brothers!
