Target Corporation Reviews (2711)

I am rejecting this response because:The level of discrimination that occurred on this day is unethical. The store manager stated he let the lady in the store before it opened because of the level of clothes she had on her body. Telling me it was freezing she was wearing nothing. I had on shorts. I was the first person in the toy section she should not have been allowed to the store before me. Furthermore I feel Target is not taking my issue seriously. When contacted by Kathy she stated she didn't see on my complaint where I had mentioned someone was allowed access to the store before it opened. Thus  leading me to believe my complaint was not even completely read. To be denied access to a store before someone else because I am a male with clothes on is not something this company should allow. I appreciate everyone's effort in resolving this issue to ensure this does not happen to people in the future. If my issue does not receive a satisfactory resolution. I will be taking legal action based on the level of discrimination that has been inflected upon me.

I am rejecting this response because: I don't care about system limitations. This is still bad business and your customer service was horrible.

###-###-#### and reference case number [redacted].   Sincerely,   Amy Target Guest Relations www.target.com     Dear [redacted],   Thanks for contacting Target through the Revdex.com regarding your recent experience. Please accept my sincere apology for any frustration and inconvenience.    I understand that our weekly ad priced the PS4 Bundle at $49.99. These prices listed were a typographical error. This type of error is excluded from our price matching policy, therefore we will not be able to honor the price match.   For more information on our price matching policy, please visit: https://corporate.target.com/about/shopping-experience/shop-with-confide...   I know this has been a frustrating experience for you. I‘m sorry to hear that [redacted] found the last response unacceptable. As stated in the terms and conditions found on Target.com: Target's acknowledgement of an order means that your order request has been received; it does not mean that your order has been accepted or shipped or that the price or availability of an item has been confirmed. Target makes a conscientious effort to describe and display its products and services accurately on the Site. Despite these efforts, a small number of items on the Site may be mispriced, described inaccurately, or unavailable, and we may experience delays in updating information on the Site and in our advertising on other sites. As a result, we cannot and do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any information, including prices, product images, specifications, availability, and services. Target reserves the right to change or update information and to correct errors, inaccuracies, or omissions at any time without prior notice. As it turns out, we aren't able to offer any other options for this situation.Target considers this matter closed. As always, I appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. If you have further questions, feel free to contact Target.com at (800) [redacted].

Thanks for contacting Target on behalf of our guest [redacted].   I can only imagine how disappointing it must’ve been for her to have received the bowls in a smaller size with both orders.   After looking into the bowls further, I was able to find that there was a technical ticket...

that was resolved involving the bowls that she received and the bowls that she ordered. This is also known as an item inaccuracy and while we strive to keep information up to date and as accurate as possible, item inaccuracies can still occur. She can find more information about item inaccuracies in our term and conditions by following this link and reading ‘availability, errors, & inaccuracies’ https://www.target.com/c/terms-conditions/-/N-4sr7l#errors.   I understand that this has been a disappointing experience. While I’m unable to change the price of the large bowls or send her the large bowls in place of the small bowls that she received, I have gone ahead and refunded her for both orders.   As always, I appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. If you have further questions, feel free to contact Target.com at ###-###-####. [redacted]Target.com Executive Officeswww.target.com

I am rejecting this response because:does not value customer or explain why Advertisement did NOT state in store price would be different.

Thanks for contacting Target on behalf of our guest [redacted].  I understand Mr. [redacted] didn’t receive his delivered product, and I’m sorry to hear about this disappointing experience. Mr. [redacted] contacted us previously on 12/5 and was refunded $548 to his Visa for two units of the...

missing product at that time. I understand it was actually a quantity of 4 units that were missing from tracking number [redacted], and I’m so sorry for the delay.I’ve issued a second refund of $548 for the remaining two units that Mr. [redacted] didn’t receive. He will see the refund post back to his Visa within 7 – 10 business days. If after that time he still doesn’t see the amount, please direct him to contact his card issuer for further assistance.I’m sorry to hear that we’ve let Mr. [redacted] down with this order, but I look forward to having another chance to show him the kind of online experience he deserves as a loyal Target guest.Sincerely, RachelTarget.com Executive Officeswww.target.com

I am rejecting this response because:
$25 dollars does not suffice for the MONTH I have spent dealing with this issue. I could care less about a gift card. I want my money back for the item you sent without all the parts. It should not take a month to resolve an issue like this. This purchase was a Christmas gift that I still can not use

Thanks for contacting Target on behalf of our guest [redacted]. I’m very sorry to hear that she is still missing $178.35 for the chairs that were returned back in February. Once an item has been received by our return center a refund should be processed within 7-10 business days. So I’m...

saddened to hear this wasn’t the case. I was able to confirm that she had refused two of the four chairs. The last two were picked up by UPS and were returned to our return center on 2/4/16 and 2/15/16. However, only one of those chairs was refunded. Upon reviewing the return I show there was a technical error which prevented the refund from being processed. As a result I had to cancel that original return and recreate it in order to issue a refund. She’ll get a system triggered email letting her know that the refund has been processed. She should see the credit of $157.13, which is what she was charged for the chair, to her American Express within 7-10 business days. On 02/05/16 she was refunded $42.40 for the shipping/handling charge. I’ve included an invoice for her reference. If she still hasn’t seen this credit post to her card then she’ll need to contact her financial institution and file a dispute. It’s disheartening to hear that the team member she spoke to said that she was getting on his nerves by calling so much. The guest service experience she described isn’t part of our guest service philosophy, and I’ll personally follow up with the team member she spoke with to provide coaching to ensure this doesn’t happen again. Our guest was provided with a $30 Target GiftCard as an apology for her experience. She mentions that she provided a loan to Target and wants interest, but Target doesn’t offer loans to guests so that isn’t something I’m able to accommodate. As always, I appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. If you have further questions, feel free to contact Target.com at ###-###-####.

Hello, Thank you for contacting us on behalf of [redacted].  I am sorry to hear she fell victim to a scam, and furthermore apologize for the frustrating experience.  I have reviewed the correspondence and noted that [redacted] purchased the GiftCards at a third party store called Publix....

When cards are purchased at a third party location, the funds are collected independently by that entity.  As a result, Target cannot issue a refund for the recovered amount, only offer a replacement GiftCard.  We advised the guest to contact Publix in an effort to get a refund, as they collected her funds.  If [redacted] would accept a replacement GC, we would be more than happy to assist. Thanks,CaraGiftCard Operations Case: [redacted]

Relations at (800) 440-0680 and provide reference number: 14139442. Sincerely, Elizabeth Target Corporation     Dear [redacted],   Thanks for contacting Target through the Revdex.com regarding your recent experience at the San Jose Oakridge Target store. Please accept my sincere apology for any frustration and confusion this caused you.   After reading your comments, I contacted the team member at the San Jose Oakridge store who advised me that the Enfamil coupon was actually an Enfamil rebate check. Target guidelines treat rebate checks like any other acceptable tender and they are processed following prompts at the register at the point of sale. They are not coupons and can’t be processed after the sale is completed. The items purchased must exactly match what is stated on the rebate check.   For future purchases, the store is happy to accept Enfamil coupons for a purchase. Items purchased must match the coupon description (brand, size, quantity, color, flavor, etc.). To see the Target coupon policy, please visit www.target.com/coupons.  I understand that our apologies may not completely eliminate your frustration, but I hope you will continue shopping with us and that we provide you with the great service that you deserve in the future. Sincerely, Elizabeth Target Corporation

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 13, 2016/02/11) */
I was able to speak to our guest [redacted] today regarding her experience of receiving three orders of mirrored trays that arrived broken.
I certainly understand the guest's frustration in this situation and sincerely apologize for that....

I have advised the guest to discard the broken trays and have ensured her that she has been completely refunded for her orders. I'll personally follow up with our senior leadership team to ensure we learn from this experience and make Target an even better place to shop.
As always, I appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. If you have further questions, feel free to contact Target.com at (800) [redacted].

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.However, Target has no evidence to claim that I am a reseller. I did not resell, their technical issue make my order history not display on my account.

hello [redacted],

Thanks for contacting Target on behalf of our guest [redacted].
Upon receipt of your contact, we reached our guest to address their concerns regarding this price-matching inquiry.
We have advised the guest that the...

item is listed on Gamestop as not available/out of stock so it would not qualify for a Target Price Match as items from our competitors do need to be in stock.
As always, we appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. If you have further questions, feel free to contact Target at (800)[redacted] and reference case number [redacted].

Sincerely,

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/10/15) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The only thing I still have a problem with was how poorly the employee treated us. It wasn't a friendly, "Hey, we're sorry, but we are unable to do that for (reason x) or (reason y)." Instead, the employee shouted from several lanes over, "Are those the damn gamestop toys? Yeah, we're not going to honor that price."
The lady to called about my complaint offered me a $5 gift card, but I declined as we have no plans to visit Target again in the future.
I can get everything I need elsewhere, and since Target apparently picks/chooses when to price-match, they can't even claim to have as-good-as, let alone better-than prices, so why go there?
I'd rather go somewhere (/cough, Walmart) where I'm greeted at the door and can return almost anything that I'm unhappy with, pay better prices, and they will almost always price-match as well.
So, thanks but no thanks, Target. Your crappy customer service put a terrible taste in my mouth for your company.

Thanks for contacting Target on behalf of our guest [redacted]. Upon receipt of your contact, we reached our guest to address their concerns In the guest’s original complaint he explains that he’s had issues with Target.com instore pickup orders being cancelled without notification. In my previous email to the guest I requested the guest provide me with specific order numbers for the orders that were cancelled. The guest provided the information; I researched the orders and responded to the guest with my findings. The guest wasn’t charged for any of the orders in question and no compensation is due to the guest. Target has no further resolution for the guest and considers the matter closed. As always, we appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. If you have further questions, feel free to contact Target.com at ###-###-####.

Thanks for contacting Target on behalf of our guest [redacted]. Upon receipt of your contact, we reached our guest to address their concerns. I reviewed the guest’s order summary and tracked her replacement through UPS. I show her replacement is set for delivery today, 06/15/2016. If she doesn’t...

receive her replacement today I advised her to respond to my email so I can provide further assistance. In the mean time I’ve requested a Target eGiftCard for her poor delivery experience. The eGiftCard will be sent to the email address attached to her order. As always, we appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. If you have further questions, feel free to contact Target.com at ###-###-####.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2015/07/10) */
Thanks for contacting Target on behalf of our guest [redacted]. Upon receipt of your contact, I called and spoke to him regarding his concerns.
I apologized for the fact that he felt he was hung up on and that I would look into this and...

provide any necessary feedback. I also explained that we're aware of issues with our phone system dropping calls and that our technical teams are looking into this.
I advised the guest that the address he is giving me is not the same address that is listed on the registry. Due to confidentiality, I'm unable to provide him the address that is used on the registry. He states that his niece lives at the address is providing me and if there is another address listed, it is wrong and she hasn't received her gifts. I was concerned about the possibility of additional orders being sent to a wrong address and asked if could notify her that she may want to update her registry with the correct address. The guest stated that he manually entered the shipping address he was providing me. I went through the order process and how there are several times throughout an order in which to verify and correct the shipping address, he stated there wasn't. At this point he asked me for the bottom line and told me that he has already disputed the charges with his card. I advised him that I've confirmed delivery of his order with UPS, FedEx and USPS to the address of the registrant and also the address the order was placed under - I was still talking when I heard grumbling and then the call abruptly ended. At this time I'm considering this matter closed and have no further options for options for the guest.
As always, I appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. If you have further questions, feel free to contact Target.com at (800) [redacted].
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/07/13) */
was contacted by "Pauline" from target.com, was told they "Target" was not going to handle the problem, she said the address used in the registry is the address they shipped to!, THAT IS NOT THE ADRRESS I PUT IN WHEN I MADE THE PURCHASE, When ask to submit my CC info and verify the billing address I did so, when asked to put in shippers address I put the "[redacted] Las Cruces NM 88007,Pauline said that the registry address must be corrected by my niece, I informed Pauline that my niece doesn't even live there, she further told me that Target WASNT going to Replace the items or refund, I was basically SOL.

I'm sorry to hear [redacted] encountered this level of frustration and for the time she has spent trying to resolve her GiftCard issue.  While researching her issue, we found that the Target MasterCard gift card was not activated correctly and that vendor is working to correct this issue.  I’ll keep working with her directly until this is resolved. At this time, we have to follow the vendor’s process and allow 3 business days to get this corrected. I’ll follow up with her on Thursday as promised. If her gift card is not active by then we’ll find an alternative resolution.   As always, we appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. If you have further questions, feel free to contact Target at ###-###-#### and reference case number [redacted].Sincerely, GiftCard Operations

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/06/23) */
Thanks for contacting Target on behalf of our guest [redacted].

Upon receipt of your contact, we reached our guest to address their concerns. We are not showing that a team member deactivated these GiftCards nor were these GiftCards...

replaced for any reason. The only way this could happen is if these GiftCard were combined into a mobile or physical GiftCard and then our system would systematically go into force close status. As these GiftCards were closed out over a year ago, the information has been archived and is no longer available.

As always, we appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. If you have further questions, feel free to contact Target at (800)[redacted] and reference case number 04907994.
Sincerely,

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/06/24) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The Target Customer Data Breach Class Action Lawsuit is Jennifer Kirk v. Target Corp., et al., Case No. 13-cv-05885, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
The response that the gift cards were combined is ridiculous they couldn't of been combined because I used One gift card completely and a portion of the other so there was no combining of anything there was merely a balance on one of the $100 gift cards. Target has been sued in various states by theattorneys general for data breach in particular December 2013 which coincides with my inability to use The target gift card.
UPDATE 1: A federal judge has set a number of key dates in the Target Data Breach MDL, including an April 1, 2016 deadline to have the consolidated class action lawsuit ready for trial.
UPDATE 2: A federal judge has preliminarily approved a $10 million class action settlement. Details on how to file a claim for the Target data breach settlement can be found
From the Bloomberg.com
On Saturday, Nov. 30, the hackers had set their traps and had just one thing to do before starting the attack: plan the data's escape route. As they uploaded exfiltration malware to move stolen credit card numbers--first to staging points spread around the U.S. to cover their tracks, then into their computers in Russia--FireEye spotted them. Bangalore got an alert and flagged the security team in Minneapolis. And then ...

Nothing happened.
For some reason, Minneapolis didn't react to the sirens. Bloomberg Businessweek spoke to more than 10 former Target employees familiar with the company's data security operation, as well as eight people with specific knowledge of the hack and its aftermath, including former employees, security researchers, and law enforcement officials. The story they tell is of an alert system, installed to protect the bond between retailer and customer, that worked beautifully. But then,
Target stood by as 40 million credit card numbers--and 70 million addresses, phone numbers, and other pieces of personal information--gushed out of its mainframes.
The same company closed out my Gift Card and can supply no information other than to guess as to the reason the card was forced closed.
Again there were no cards combined I had to separate ecards
For $100 each and I used one entirely and a portion of the second one so there was nothing to combine as they have stated. and the fact that they don't have any records whatsoever is extremely convenient when now days were able to find out just any kind of information that is ever been recorded in the computer on the server or in any other electronic means.
I still asked that target either a refund or give me a card to replace the $60 that was still available on my electronic gift card. Egift cards are commonplace now days there are two separate barcodes which I still have together with the numbers that are below the barcodes.
there are two separate barcodes which I still have together with the numbers that are below the barcodes.
Target has som many lawsuits as a result of the data breach that was noticed by their own software starting in November 2013. And as Bloomberg reported target just sat there and watched the data go away.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/06/25) */
