I am rejecting this response because:They did not refund me the $20. I actually went in the store to return the items to receive my refund. Also, I reordered the items that the Target is stating are not in stock personally. It is truly unfortunate that a company of this magnitude would lie.  TARGET MUST DO BETTER.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. [redacted], I had tried to call you based on a note you left on my account and was not successful in reaching you. Before making this dispute I had asked repeatedly if this shipment was coming from Texas, since I had received an email stating that the delay was due to a "hurricane in my area". I knew I didn't have a hurricane so I thought maybe it came from there, but was just talked over or treated as if I was lying about receiving the email. I was still repeatedly told the order had ship. Any explanation would have been satisfactory and I would absolutely understand if the store was involved in the hurricane. As for the rep that treated me horribly I thank you for reaching out and coaching her. She absolutely needed it and shouldn't be talking to any customer that way.Please issue my refund and I will go ahead and place a new order the remaining 6 pairs. Thanks! [redacted]

Because the tracking information and trace information do not correlate, the FedEx representative I called was unable to confirm the absolute status of the package. However, after speaking with FedEx at length, I was able to transfer from speaking with representatives directly to the investigator of the trace. He was able to confirm that in this particular situation, the tracking information listed on their website was completely incorrect and the package is confirmed as lostIn light of this information directly from the primary investigator, we will be providing Mr. [redacted] with a refund for this particular case. He will see the amount of $1644 return to him in the form of three new $200 GiftCards to his email address, and the remaining amount of $844 will post back to his AMEX in 7 – 10 business days. As always, I appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. authorization hold renewals to the method of payment used on the order. Authorization renewal requests must succeed at the time the request is made or the pre-order will automatically cancel. We submitted a request for authorization to PayPal on 2/11 for Mr. [redacted]’s order and the request returned to us as declined. Because the renewal request declined, the order was automatically cancelled on 2/12. Information on this pre-order process can be found on Target.com in our help section where it states, “When you place a pre-order, Target sends an authorization hold request to your card issuer… If at any point during the pre-order process an authorization hold request fails, Target automatically cancels the order.”I understand that the email Mr. [redacted] received from us was confusing; it is an automatically generated email. Orders can cancel for a variety of reasons and our team members are able to assist guests with reordering cancelled items as subject to availability. Because this item has no more available stock, the order cannot be reinstated or otherwise reordered at this time. However, I’m happy to say that the release date for this item is fast approaching and I encourage Mr. [redacted] to check back in our stores for replenished inventory on March 3rd.We’re always working to make Target.com an even better place for our guests to shop, and I look forward to providing Mr. [redacted] with the kind of online experience he deserves in the near future. As I previously explained, our system received an unknown response when we attempted to email her. Unfortunately there isn’t a way to pin point why our system received an unknown response error however it can be caused from a various number of reasons including settings within the email domain that prevent it from being delivered.   The $5 was deducted from her order’s total so no further action is needed. I am rejecting this response because:I can no longer access previous chat logs for past orders in order to verify the exception that Target spoke about. All I have are emails from those past orders stating that they are sending gift cards (twice!) to me. You clearly do not make exception twice.

order was cancelled, Target sent an electronic request to the card issuer to remove the authorization hold. I understand how incredibility frustrating it can be to wait for the hold to be removed, but authorization hold guidelines are determined by the card-issuing bank, not Target, and vary from institution to institution. Unfortunately, there is nothing Target can do to escalate this matter further. Target strives to ensure our guests enjoy their shopping experience and to make that possible Target may review our guests’ order history from time to time to avoid future disappointment. If there’s been a number of recent unsatisfactory experiences with Target.com, we may invite our guests to shop the great selection of items available in their local Target store instead. Although, our team members have advised [redacted] that her order was cancelled due to a review, I can assure her that this is not the case. I’ll be sure to follow up with the team members that shared this with her to ensure misinformation won’t be provided going forward. Due to the security of our guest’s information, Target is unable to explain why the order for her niece’s baby shower was cancelled without speaking with her directly. I am rejecting this response because:
At no point is having three holds against my account acceptable regardless of your practices and directing me to my banking institution once again, as stated in my initial complaint, is of no help because my banking institution will not remove holds requested by Target without a representative of Target requesting them to do so. This response is another example of Target passing the buck to someone else who has no responsibility to Target's customers and did not provide substandard service. The only entity not trying to help their customers is Target; meanwhile my banking institution has attempted to bend over backwards for complications caused by Targets poor billing practices. I reject that Target just says "oh wait a few days and the two holds will fall off your bank account". What if that was the only money I had? What if I had other bills those days? It is improper practice to renew a hold (i.e. request a new hold) when the first has not expired; this causes double and triple holds and extremely inconveniences your customers, which it appears Target has no concern for.

- $26.14 in 12/14/2017 and $3.77 on 12/31.2017.  The reason the refund was reduced by $10 is because when a promotional GiftCard is earned on an order, the refund is reduced by the amount of the earned GiftCard, in this case the $10 eGiftCard.  I realize the order not shipping is through no fault of her own and I’ve gone ahead and refunded her the $10 difference; please keep in mind this can take up to 5 business days for this to appear back to her Target REDcard.  She was provided a $15 eGiftCard by another team member, she can use this on a future purchase so we can provide her the experience she deserves.As always, I appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. Look checking back will not do any good at all unless I check every day and drive over there that very SECOND.They all will go to employees or to the first 3 or 4 costumers that enter the store. The target stores policy I found out is one sale to a customer and then associates can buy product.The response from Target was USELESS at best.Limited supply,sold out. don't try to tell me about how hard they tried to keep it in stock when all they had was 6 bottles They deceived me on my original trip and all I asked for was to be notified and hold me 2 bottles for me and I will come right over.They did nothing to help me, I don't even think they read my letter.All they offered was store BOILERPLATE that tried to pacify me. REMEMBER I WAS THE FIRST ONE IN THE STORE AND THEY LIED TO ME. I THINK IT IS WELL WITHIN THERE POWER TO JUST HOLD ME 2 BOTTLES THAT I WILL PAY FOR IT. The response provided explains the reason for the extra .01 which the customer service agents could not explain previously when I contacted the number listed. However, I still need clarification about the "debt letter" I was told about but never received. How can I obtain confirmation that there is no open debt remaining? Please advise.

I am rejecting this response because:When I called Target for the return authorization and requested a prepaid return shipping label I was not informed I would be liable for any loss during the interim while in possession of the companies that Target hired for shipping; otherwise I would have returned the rings to a store if I was made aware of that option.  I have scoured the internet, visited several Post Offices and phoned multiple levels of the United States Postal Service in attempt to file a claim but they remain adamant that Target must file the claim since they paid for the shipping service.  Attached is a letter from the USPS confirming the box weighed more when I shipped it back than when Target received it and process the appropriate claim please? I am a military officer; my word is my honor.Thank you for your time and support.[redacted]

problems.   After reviewing her order, I’ve determined that there was a technical error within the order itself which was preventing the digital GiftCard from being delivered. I’ve alerted our online technical team so they can look into this further and take the necessary steps to prevent this from happening again.   As a result of the technical error, her order had to be cancelled. She’ll receive an email confirming that and the funds will be released back to her original payment method.
