Tate publishing is lying. Not only do I not have a publicist but the $25,000 they claim to promote my book has not been spent. I also have proof that my book was put on hold to pay for services that I did not want. Still I have no website, the trailer I was forced to pay...

Also, they have not returned hardly any of my emails, no one ever called me unless it involved me spending money, and whenever they felt like responding to any of my emails they never fully addressed my issues. My book cost me money to own and I am only paid .72 per copy ( still have yet to receive my $1.48 royalty check) and also I am charged a distribution fee out of that. Tate is fraudulent with their claims and I have asked out of my contract several times due to breech of contract. I want my money back and to part ways 100%. I have never heard of paying $8.00 for your own book but only making 0.72 back. Why do the authors have to pay for their books if vthis is not a self publishing company. Authors beware!

2nd Response. Regarding Mr. [redacted] rejection, the policy and procedures for disbursement of royalties have been explained in detail to him on more than one occasion and by multiple staff members at Tate Publishing. We have absolutely no control of the time frame that distributors send in payments to us for book sales. We have explained that in most instances that distributors do not issue payment until 90 (days) or longer after sales. We have provided Mr. [redacted] with quarterly royalty statements and check disbursements. Recently Tate Publishing entered into a new printing contract with the largest national printing company in the country. We do apologize for the delay of shipment of books to Mr. [redacted]. It is very frustrating on both our end as well as his. We have resolved this in full by moving his book orders to the new print company. To date Mr. [redacted] orders are currently in print and will be shipped in approximately one (1) week. We would like to apply a $200.00 credit toward Mr. [redacted] account.

I have not received due royalty checks for the past three quarters. I have contacted the marketing director numerous times and have copies of the e-mails. With each e-mail contact, I have been promised that it would be looked into and have been told several times that the royalty checks would be "resent." It's all been just talk and giving me the run-around because I have yet to receive the checks.
Again, the book has not been sufficiently marketed as promised both verbally and in the written contract. Tate Publishing claims that a television advertisement was run on the "Women's Channel." Why an apologetics/theology book would be aired on a women's channel as opposed to a Christian/Faith channel doesn't even make sense very small target market, if any.
While it is true that a few phone calls have been made with regard to places for book signing events (all in the year 2013 and none since), it is a very minimal effort at best to promote a book that they promised the $4,000 upfront monies was going toward book promotion. To say that these very few telephone calls to promote book signing events fulfilled their contract promises and amounts to $4,000 worth of book promotion is ludicrous. And, further, they have withheld the last three quarters of royalty checks despite numerous efforts (via telephone conversation and e-mails) to fix the situation. All I get is the run-around.

All royalty checks due to the author have been mailed, but we will have Accounting do an audit to see if the checks we have sent have been processed. If not, we can reissue the royalty checks. All marketing activities promised by contract have been ongoing since the release date of the author's book, March 12, 2013, and will continue. Marketing reports of this activity have been emailed to the author. TV ads for this title have aired, but were not provided to us by our ad provider, which is why we no longer do business with them. We can run additional ads online, as we no longer do TV ads.

We have reviewed the attached letters and will accept this as proof and will release the shipments to the authors and pursue the issue with our payment processor.  In regards to refund per the contract there are no refunds.  To address the sales of 200,000 of the authors book we do not reflect those sales and will provide the author with a report all sales. We are now considering this matter closed.

Mr. [redacted] has not paid for his books and had his bank charge back the transaction therefore not completing his payment  arrangements the project has been placed on hold until the payment is complete. This was communicated to Mr. [redacted] Oct. 4, 2016. We have fulfilled our contract...

and followed our company guidelines and now consider this matter closed.

for 2 years I have been trying to receive correct copies of [redacted] & the [redacted]. the first 150 were not correct...they corrected that and sent me 150 correct...

ones.I sold out.  I ordered 300 more...I rec'd 300 deficient, and then another 300 deficient.(this means there are 6 pages with no text) I can't understand why they can't use the program that they used on the 150 mentioned above or the correct PDF's i've sent 2x other times at their request. they also printed the last 600 on the wrong paper. they agreed on minimal compensation by agreeing to give me free 100 each of my trilogy. I have rec'd 100 for Book2...the other 2 are coming out in the next month or so. in addition to this compensation would be the 300 correct copies of [redacted] & the [redacted].

Here is a complete record of everything in our system, which also matched with the credit card processor's records.
1- $300 Nov. 17, 2015- Settled - Total paid to date $300
2- $300 Dec. 31, 2015- Settled - Total paid to date $600
3- Previous $300 payment was refunded due to the error - This refund was processed through the processing company, which they agree - Total paid to date $300
4- $300 Jan 6, 2016 - (Was ran 5 business days later to make sure the refund was there) - Total paid to date $600
5- $300 Jan 29, 2016 - Payments were scheduled in system for the last day of the month (Should have been the 1st per your statement). This should not have been processed because of the confusion with refund, but this was processed for the February payment. Alexia [redacted] has since then corrected this. Manual payments in the future will be made by Ms. [redacted] only when you personally call to authorize so that no further confusion happens.

No payments have been processed at all since this date.
Remaining balance: $890.
Please let us know if there is anything different from what you are seeing, but this is what 3 different systems are matching in agreement to. Our own system at Tate, our bank records, as well as the credit processing company are in agreement on these accounts. If anything else is different, then it is an error in the last sector, which would be a pending payment not being recognized by the bank. In this case, they will need to audit the records to find the missing refund in their system.

regards to the complaint of Mr. [redacted] we have tried to resolve his complaint with regard to making minor changes to his project to allow us to utilize a vendor to complete his order. I am rejecting this response because:1. Replies to my emails in a timely manner so that I do not have
to   continuously ask the same question
would be sufficient.2. The publications in the areas I have been told information was sent
to stated they had no contact from Tate publishing. All I requested was proof.3. My contract states I would have commercials. From other
complaints I have viewed this change has been going on for a awhile.  How
will it be compensated?4. My contract states Tate has access to Costco and larger chains.
 All I wanted was someone to contact the local store because the m[redacted]ger
wanted to carry my book.  No one ever followed up with the request. 5. The website was created months ago, my input was a survey.  When
I requested to complete and fix typos and design No one got back to me.  I
finally had [redacted] delete it because no one would get back to me to take the
errors off that were misspelled. Months of emails, and phone calls, so no it
did not meet the contract agreement of having a website up and running. It should have never taken this long, it has been 1 year since the
book came out. Tate has been called and emailed to complete with no responses. As
per [redacted] it was deleted September 6th.  But apparently you still have it online,
because you are asking me to email you and complete something in a link. In
other words Tate did not deliver the product as promised and There-fore I do not have a up and running website from Tate.

7/18 and 8/6.7. Still have not received a copy or reply to my email regarding a
copy of my contract. I have not received answers to my emails requesting names

marketing and I was sent this email:

phone call.  I had ordered my 1000 books ( qualified for the BOGO so will

October event and November event and have not received books since the July
order. Can you please help, I have about 10
books to sell at the October event and I am hosting a table, would love to have

is nothing in the above email stating I did not qualify for the BOGO offer, and
I even referenced it. Then
in November when I went to order more of my books I received this.  I have ordered your
books for you.    This leaves 300 copies remaining that we owe
you under the 1,000 books for $1,000 deal. Yes, we do offer audio
books.     The cost is $999 and we provide narrators, or
you can narrate it yourself.   We also design the CD cover and offer
it as a download, and take care of distribution. Thanks, [redacted] I replied: Thank you,  [redacted]
advised me my book deal fell under a bogo deal, for 2000 books,  I will
find the email to confirm ( which would leave 1300 books)

question is how did this change all of a sudden? First it was agreed I would
get it then it was stated it was a mistake. I
have spoken to customer service over and over and this is why I am filing a
complaint. I believe, customer service
is the key here.  I am the customer, if there was a mistake it was not
mine and either books or my contract fee (at least $1000 dollars) should be

The hardcover edition is in pre-release status, and is scheduled to hit the retail marketing on 9/29. Hardcover books that are ordered prior to the release date must be printed before they can be shipped, and that process takes 8-12 weeks. The hardcover order shipped on September 22, and the USPS tracking number is XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX According to USPS, the order was delivered on 9/24.

Parks Mall. There were 11 books sold and I have yet to receive a statement or royalties for [redacted]@att.net sales. This is the issue that has been the rootheater of this compliant. My address just cha.gedanken this year so I do not unewsstand why I have ever not received statements or payments from Tate Publishing.  It leads me to believe that they were never sent since Mr. [redacted] acknowledges that the checks have not been cashed. Why did  on one from Tate Publishing company contact me to see why. I am still waiting for response and paymental for the August 2015 book signing.

The kindle was deactivated today.  The book was pulled form distribution in August so although it shows up on a search is not available. If the author rejects this again he will need to contact Amazon and inquire why it is being sold. Thanks,
