My father has a rep payee account and changed banks, I wrote a check from his account for groceries, telecheck denied it. I called and explained the situation, they said they would verify the account and correct it. A few weeks later I take him to get groceries again and guess what, denied. I call again and am told the same thing!
So they want to keep denying his checks for groceries, and will not help me resolve the situation at all. He has enough issues and stress that he does not need to worry about rather he can get groceries.

I have called them several times and the keep telling me they will fix it and don't. Now they are telling me they cant. that he needs more history, so I ask, how does he get history if you deny all his checks. Guess what no answer.

The fact they this company cant communicate with a bank to see that it is a valid new account or empathize/consider the circumstance that people, especially older people have to go through is just wrong. There is no excuse for them not making an effort to correct the situation or for that matter for them to feel as though they above even trying is just wrong.

Shame on them and shame on any company that uses them! That includes Meijer!

Tomorrow, I will address this issue with an organization that is familiar to you It is my responsibility to notify the Federal Trade Commission of this whole story, so that the agency is aware of your deliberately damaging actions, and irresponsible behaviors Despite the agency's complaint that you are known for not following proper dispute procedures, and that TeleCheck fails to follow reasonable procedures to assure the maximum possible accuracy of the information it provides to its merchant clients as required by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and fails to promptly correct errors on consumers’ reports, you persist! Why do you continue to present the receipt with an approval code as proof that I owe you money? The last time I looked, a four digit ECA code is an approvalAs far as your suggestion to check with my bank, I already have a printout in my possession that shows no history of this, the vendor has no knowledge, and the vendor's bank is unaware of any insufficiency in my accountSo, despite all this, I should just give in to your demands? Telecheck states that the reason for the decline is " This account or ID has not built up sufficient history in our system to support your recent transaction activity." How much history is needed? The following checks have been presented @ *** *** Equipment on the same account since 2015: Check# ***, 05/24/$209.12, #*** 10/24/$224.37, #*** 11/01/$73.78, #*** 11/01/$32.09, #*** 01/03/$231.51, #*** 02/28/$173.59, #*** 05/17/$How much history is required??? This is the same generic answer received over and overIf there is not enough history why were the other checks accepted without a problem? We will not consider this matter resolved until this has been addressed and will not conduct business with any merchant we are aware that uses Telecheck as a vendor

I was able to write the checks to *** and *** because I have had to limit my shopping so I don't write more than checks because that seems to be the amount of checks I can write before being rejected even though there is money in the bank accountNow you are suggesting that I go through the checkout line twice? The first time after going through the checkout line if my check rejects, take all my stuff and back away and call so that you can verify that I have funds available, and then get back in line and start all overThat is a totally unreasonable request! As per our conversation and the written response provided, TeleCheck can not provide you with the assurance your check transactions will be approved. There is no pre-determinating whether or not a transaction will or will not be approved until its processed at the point of sale.
The only assurance TeleCheck can verify is that your file does reflect a positive status. However, this is not a guarantee your transaction will be approved, this only confirms your transasction will not receive a negative response.
I attempted to establish if you had any previous check writing history based on your previous bank account and license you had, however neither of those pieces of information were not provided and/or available to you anymore. I requested the previous information in an effort to determine if a possible migration of that previous information to your current information could be done. There have been cases, and this is on an individual's file basis, where the migration does aid in lessening the likelihood of the risk declines from occuring.

There are not open hours for check approval if I have another problem with my checks being accepted - because of the way I was treated at the grocery store I have not shopped with this grocery store and I have been shopping there for over yearsTelecheck does not have a relationship with banks so how can they accept or deny my checks? The Telecheck company needs to take a closer look at the way they approve and deny checks and until then I will not be satisfied with Telecheck.
