Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2016/02/10) */
We would like to respond, but we are unsure exactly what her desired resolution is. Our records show she called around 7:30 on a Saturday evening. Our technician came out within an hour of her calling. When she mentioned the blank tablet, it...

isn't blank it is an electronic replica of the invoice. Part of that fee includes an after hour fee, which we stated when she called. We did tell her the price upfront and she did authorize it. We have policies and procedures and we did use them. When she called into our office we offered her a 10% refund. That offer still stands as a good will gesture but we are admitting to no wrong.

We are installing a new furnace for an agreed upon amount.  The price issue has been resolved.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
They did NOT warn me of any potential issues during the initial (failed) install. No mention of wood rot or a more sturdy install procedure was brought up until after their newly installed meter fell off the side of my house. Their story was "we didn't know, we couldn't see..."  The day after it fell and they were supposed to put it back up, the salesman recommended his thru bolt (thru attic) method and that they would need a few hundred more. I disagreed with him because I felt they should have foreseen this because they are the experts and should have asked for the proper amount from my insurance company in the first place. I felt like they had caused me enough trouble iand they needed to put it back up and hit the road but ended up giving in and calling my insurance company for the few hundred more and they had no trouble with an amendment that small. But the salesmen called me back and he wanted more and more money thus prolonging the whole process and leaving us with a downed power line in our yard for a week and a half as he asked for more money (he got up to $5800) My initial complaint to the Revdex.com did get them to come out and put it all back up using bolts and not skinny little screws this time. They were done in a half hour thank you very much. All that aggravation and sleeplessness for nothing. I consider the matter resolved however I am disagreeing with their comments because they did not warn me about anything the first time they put it up. All they needed to do was use them bolts instead of screws. What are they trying to say? I refused to pay an extra 59 cents per bolt? We'd have got in the car and run to the hardware store ourselves and bought them lol! Eight bolts in place of six screws! That meter hasn't budged! They got it right the second time.
Sincerely,

Fast and courteous service

Sam from Tiger was very professional and courteous. He cleaned my AC unit and checked my furnace. He brought to my attention needed cleaning but was not aggressive in his approach. Sam offered advise and recommendations. Would recommend Tiger Plumbing/Heating.

During the cold weather the past few days, my water stopped working in my bathroom. I called Tiger and they sent out [redacted]. He promptly found the reason for my problem, frozen busted pipes. He quickly did the repair and got my bathroom running. While he was here , I asked him about a problem I had with my toilet and sink. He showed me the problem and took the time to fix both problem. He showed me things I could do to help prevent the frozen pipes in the future, specific to my house. I really appreciated the down to earth attitude of the tech. I only gave 4 stars for one reason. Price. I'm sure I could have got the job done cheaper, but he was there, could fix the problem, all of them, and he didn't have to leave to get parts. In the end, it sure was worth it for me. Thanks Tiger!

Great company, employees are always professional and have a great knowledge base.

I have been using Tiger for my heating, AC and electrical needs for a few years now and have always been very satisfied with their work. They arrive promptly and are very courteous and get the job done quickly. I always know what the cost is before they start the job.

I will no longer be using Tiger Plumbing. I called them out to see why my water pressure was low. The technician Jeff came out and automatically said my main water line needed to be replaced. I also noticed that my water softener wasn't working properly and it was holding water. I asked if that could be the problem and he said he didn't know much about sofeners and it was probably because of the water pressure. He quoted me a price of about $10,000 dollars to replace the main line and some other problems he found. The next day, I got a second opinion and they turned the water off to the softener and I had great water pressure. They told me the softener needed to be replaced.

I would highly recommend Tiger Heating & Plumbing! I had plumbing work done before and after new counter tops were installed. Shaun was prompt, courteous, and patient with all my questions. He did an awesome job!

Very professional and fast service. No clean up afterwards.

They came out today to fix my central air conditioning unit and it is now working.

Read all 1 star ratings from both locations on [redacted] and [redacted] very carefully prior to calling this company. My wife and 1 year old little girl came home last evening to a house that was 50 degrees and a furnace that would not turn on. I was not going to be home for a couple hours so I asked my wife to find a company with a good rating to come take a look. I was home by the time they made it out and two very nice but misguided young men took a look at the furnace. I watched the entire time and we all quickly came to the same conclusion that the inducer motor was not working properly. They asked if we could sit down at the kitchen table and go over the options, the hard sell begins.

To fix the problem, $1200 but he can save me money if I start a service plan with them, it only took 20 minutes to go through all the plans. When I question it he proceeds to slide an iPad over to me with a worksheet on it to fill out that will show me how it will be more cost effective to replace an entire 5 year old furnace with a new one. For how much; we will never know because I said to him "my wife and 1 year old daughter are wearing coats and hats in our house right now, I don't want to learn about service plans or new furnaces I want to get this fixed so they can go to bed" Now he says "well maybe we can just replace the motor, let us go out to the truck and see if we have one" This is code for lets regroup because this guy is onto us. He can get me a 1200 quote with his iPad in the time it takes to walk to up the stairs but has to check the truck for parts?

They come back in a few minutes later, they do not have a matching inducer motor and I was not expecting them to have one, but I did expect to get a quote on what it would cost to just replace the motor. No, he is unable to quote that, even though he could quote the $1200 to replace the inducer motor and everything behind it? He says it will save me a couple hundred, to I took that to mean $1000 to replace an inducer motor, the same one I can order online for $150. I paid the $98 service fee and asked that someone call me in the morning with a quote and timeline for the part.

After setting up a room with electric heaters for my wife and baby I set out to pull the inducer motor myself, 4 screws and 2 minutes later I had it on my work bench. I could see that it would rotate about half a turn when the furnace tried to kick on so I hoped I could see why. Turns out it was just some gunk in the motor, an air compressor and some 3 in 1 oil, 30 minutes later the furnace was up and running. Notice it took one small paragraph to tell you how I fixed it but 4 to tell you how they were going to fix it.

No I don't want to talk about it Tiger, I don't want a call back or some lie about how you do what's best and the customer has the choice when the only choice you give them is the most expensive option. I don't even want my service call fee back thought I think I deserve it. I just want everyone to know your "MO" 2 guys to do a one man job, one to do the work and the other to try and fleece you.

Had Tiger come out for a heater check. They said there was a gas leak and turned off the gas to the heater. They quoted me over $1,000 to repair. I had two different contractors come out and check. NO GAS LEAK. I also had them quote cleaning the air ducts-over $4,000!
