I paid Timeshares by Owner $499.00 to sell my timeshare with Westgate on April 27th 2018. They promised to advertise it and get it sold. They do not contact you with updates and I have NO proof that this was done. They are concerned with falsely collecting monies. I want my money refunded.

I am in receipt of the recent complaint filed with your office by ***. Our
records indicate that *** has been a client of Timeshares By Owner since
March 27, 2018 with marketing for her Westgate Vacation Villas timeshare in central
Florida. Ms. purchased marketing from Timeshares By Owner in the amount
of $499 to advertise her timeshare on our website and in our walk-in offices. When
Ms. purchased our marketing, before we could accept her fee, a contract
was signed, which included the fact there is a ten-day cancellation timeframe. As
with all clients, we also conducted a Quality Control call right after the purchase in
which she completely acknowledged her understanding of our terms and conditions.
If there was not a complete acknowledgement of our terms and conditions in the
Quality Control call or she did not understand what she purchased, a refund would
have been processed.
In the correspondence prepared by Ms., she indicates that she has no proof
that we have been marketing her timeshare and is concerned that we are falsely
collecting monies for our advertising program. In response, if Ms. had asked
the question earlier, anyone could have directed her to our website and explained
several different ways in which she could have located her ad. We also have been
generating over $10 million in transmitted offers each month in the last several
months. Our records also indicate that we conducted a Quality Control call on March
27, the same day that she purchased our marketing, and in that call, she
acknowledged that she fully understood the program that she purchased.
Furthermore, I had agreed to issue a full refund of her marketing fee on May 8 to
resolve matters, but she agreed to remain on board with our services by signing a
Continuing Advertising Authorization Form on May 9--and I personally followed up
with yet another Quality Control call that was specifically geared to those clients that
had elected to remain on board with our services after requesting and being granted
a full refund. To resolve matters once again, I will go ahead and issue a full refund of
Ms.' marketing fee. Ms. has also been placed on the "do not solicit"
list so that she is not contacted again to purchase more marketing.
Unlike other timeshare resale marketing companies, Timeshares By Owner provides
the marketing that is contracted and promised. We advertise in the USA Today as
well as major city newspapers, billboards, TV (***), direct mail marketing, internet, and other forms of media. We also
attend trade shows on a regular basis in which we display client ads, we distribute
the Timeshare Trader publication on a monthly basis to the top vacation areas, and
we sponsor our own podcast; "Vacation Time" broadcast every week live from the
studios of the Timeshares By Owner corporate office. That is just a little of what we
do. We have the tools to rent and/or sell a client's timeshare and have been
successful at doing just that since 1998.
Again, a full refund of $499 will be issued back to Ms.' credit card. If she
ever has any questions in reference to her marketing, she should not hesitate to call
our fully staffed Client Services Department at toll-free (888) 402-0280 or (888) 707-

I was given incorrect information to get my payment for the sale of my timeshare. Now getting additional calls for another 1900.00 for publishing.
I was called around March 12, 2018 by a Terry. He was stating the company could have my timeshare sold by June. Also that it be upgraded without additional cost in order to sell it. I called back after 30 days which was mid April. I spoke with a person in which stated if my timeshare was not sold in 30 to call back. Since that time I have been called around every two weeks. The persons are stating the Corporate office has my Timeshare now and it will cost me an additional 1900.00 to list additionally for the sale the timeshare and guarantee a sale. I have told each one that I can not afford any additional, and that that was not what I was originally told when I purchased the deal. Still they keep calling I have ask for my money back threaten file a complaint with Revdex.com but they did not seem to care. I just want my money refunded since nothing has been done and the timeshare has not been sold as stated it would be sold by June. Buyers should beware of this company.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund of my 749.00 in which I paid to have my timeshare sold by June 2018. I was given false information. I have been repeatedly harassed by sales agents from the corporate office in Orlando stating I need to pay an additional $1900.00 to guarantee the sale of my timeshare. Same line given when I originally purchased this offer for 749.00 in March to have it sold by June 2018.

marketing for their Vacation Network Inc vacation club, which cost them a fee of
$749. Before we could accept Mr. fee, a contract was signed, which
included the fact that there was a ten-day cancellation timeframe. As with all clients,
we also conducted a Quality Control call on March 19 in which there was a complete
acknowledgement and understanding of our terms and conditions. lf there was not a
complete acknowledgement of our terms and conditions in the Quality Control call or
if Mr. did not understand what he purchased, a full refund would have been
processed.
ln the correspondence prepared by Mr., he indicates that he was given
incorrect information in order to convince him to purchase our marketing and that he
continues to receive calls to purchase even more marketing. In response, it may be
true that Mr. has been contacted to purchase more marketing, as we do
have other programs available to clients that provide more exposure, but a client
never has to purchase more marketing and it certainly does not diminish the value of
the program already purchased. As for incorrect information, Mr. signed a
contract that covers all of the policies of Timeshares By Owner, indicating that we
advertise a client's property with no guarantee in regard to timeframe or how much
will be received. A Quality Control call was also conducted that covers all of the
Timeshares By Owner policies and marketing promises. In fact, our records show
that at least one offer was presented on May 31. With that said, to resolve matters, a
full refund of Mr. fee of $749 will be issued back to him. I am also placing
Mr. on our "do not solicit" list, so that he is not contacted again to purchase
more marketing.

Arnold K did a magnificent job helping me sell many timeshares where I made money on each transaction. He also bailed me out of a mistake I made by scheduling a getaway that was canceled by the buyers on the last day. I found out never to buy a getaway until a contract is signed by both parties. I signed and the buyer bailed out after agreeing on the phone but not signing the contract.
That left me with a vacation I had to pay for until Arnold said he would use it. Arnold has a great personality and I enjoy working with him. He can be trusted.
I hope to be able to sell more vacations with him in the future.

I signed and the buyer bailed out after agreeing on the phone but not signing the contract.
That left me with a vacation I had to pay for until Arnold said he would use it. Arnold has a great personality and I enjoy working with him. He can be trusted.
I hope to be able to sell more vacations with him in the future.
