GiGi was a great help finding me the perfect place to stay. I knew it was close to my vacation and was worried I wouldn't get something I was looking for at a decent price. But she made it happen. She was very professional at all times. And worked with me via emails when I was unable to answer her phone calls do to me being at work. Very prompt as well. I will be calling/emailing her for my future vacations as well.

As confident as the sales people were that we'd be able to get my timeshare rented or sold, they have been COMPLETELY unsuccessful in the last 18 months - I've received 0 offers. However, representatives from the company keep calling me back to offer me much more expensive "opportunities" to market my timeshare. After 18 months, 0 offers, and about $2,000 that I've already paid, why would I give you MORE money? This company hasn't done what they said they'd be able to do. Very frustrating!

I believe Timeshare by owner misrepresented themselves,Lied and used shade sales practices to extort more and more money after the original agreement
I call Timeshare by Owners at the beginning of April 2018, We agreed to sale my two timeshares and to rent out the existing weeks that I have available.Me and my wife were told 90 Days tops we would see results' price paid 999.00 and 1000.00-total=1999.00. after 90 days no results and communication stopped from original sales person Pasha Simmons Richardson. Around The end of June 2018 I received a call from a person name Eric He informed me he was Pasha manager and He was taking over my account.Eric said after reviewing my account he had a better offer that would grantee the sale of my properties and he could also recoup the 1999.00 I had paid on the first contact, since they had be on the market for a long period with no action. The only catch was he needed an additional 2,377.00 and I would receive over Forty thousand dollars from the sale of the timeshares plus my initial investment OF 1999.00. I payed him the 2, 377.00 and after several weeks I called Him and each time he gave me the same answer. (Be patient some will happen soon).July, August, and September went by no results and no calls unless I call to ask if there was any progress. Then around the the second week of October I received a call from a person who introduced himself as Mr Price? He said the was one of the directors from the main office and was taking over my case and would introduce me to someone who could help me with the sale and rental of my Timeshares.He said I would be getting an E-mail explaining the details. ( no e-mail came) Shortly after a person who introduced as Mr R ? came on the phone. proceeded to tell me he could guarantee
the sale of my properties but I would have to pay the back-end closing cost from the sale of the property. The amount be said would be about or approx.4,700.00. I told Mr. R I don't have anymore money to give. I explained He was offering the same thing I just paid Eric for three months earlier. After a long discussion Mr. R said let me talk to my boss and let me see what we can do since you already paid 4,376.00. I asked Mr. R to sent me something in writing and he responded,only if I give him my credit card number.He came back to the phone and said he could do it for a additional 1800.00 dollars. I said again I don't have anymore money to give. He remarked I was stupid to pass up this deal. I asked him again to send me something in writing. he stated again only if I give him my credit card number. I said no again , and he hung up the Phone. I immediately call Eric and he call me some time a couple days latter.
I told him of the call I had received and he said he checked his files and there were no notes on any one taking over my case. The number where Mr R called came from is Phone 321-329-3120. I looked the number up on the web and it came from someone at - Timeshare By Owner. A week latter I received another call from someone from Timeshare by Owner with same sales pitch, I was driving at the Time, the person called me, they started calling me by using the wrong name before correcting themselves. I told them I could not talk at the time. My wife was present during these conversation and can verify these are true statements because all conversation were on speaker phone.

Desired Outcome

I would like all money paid to be refunded.

I am in receipt of the recent complaint filed with your office by***. Our records indicate that*** and Audrey *** have been clients of Timeshares By Owner since April 4, 2018 with marketing for their Alpine Club and Festiva Orlando Resort timeshares in Austria and Florida respectively. Mr. originally purchased marketing from Timeshares By Owner in the amount of $1999 (two separate contracts for $1000 and $999 each) to advertise his timeshares on our website and in our walk-in offices. Mr. subsequently purchased marketing on June 30, 2018 to advertise the same timeshares in our Timeshare Trader Magazine in the amount of $2377 (two separate contracts for $1377 and $1000 each). Each time Mr. purchased our marketing, before we could accept his fees, contracts were signed. The contracts included the fact there is a ten-day cancellation timeframe and as with all clients, we also conducted a Quality Control call right after the purchase in which he completely acknowledged his understanding of our terms and conditions. If there was not a complete acknowledgement of our terms and conditions in the Quality Control call or he did not understand what he purchased, a refund would have been processed.

In the correspondence prepared by Mr., he indicates that he believes that our services were misrepresented and that we extorted more money from him. In response, Timeshares By Owner ensures that a contract is signed in advance of purchase and we conduct quality control calls after each purchase. If the client does not accept our policies or does not understand the marketing purchase in the quality control call, a full refund is issued. We are also very good at what we do and we do generate over $3 million in transmitted offers on a monthly basis. We also close on transactions almost daily. With that said and to resolve matters, on behalf of Timeshares By Owner, I am going to go ahead and fully refund the marketing fee paid by Mr. on June 30 in the amount of $2377. Furthermore, I am taking further action in reference to Mr.' marketing. First of all, he has been placed on the "do not solicit" list so that he is never contacted again to purchase additional marketing. Second, I will provide additional marketing in the Elite Plus program with another Timeshare Trader Magazine and the exclusive Elite Plus Magazine at no cost. Thirdly, I'll place his timeshares into our Autumn Showcase, which is an email blast going out to clients interested in timeshares like his. Finally, the Concierge Department will immediately go to work on finding any offers that meet the criteria of his property, and I will personally oversee his marketing to ensure that we are doing everything we can to provide Mr. with a successful offer.

Unlike other timeshare resale marketing companies, Timeshares By Owner provides the marketing that is contracted and promised. We advertise in the *** as well as major city newspapers, billboards, TV (***), direct mail marketing, internet, and other forms of media. We also attend trade shows on a regular basis in which we display client ads, we distribute the Timeshare Trader publication on a monthly basis to the top vacation areas, and we sponsor our own podcast; "Vacation Time" broadcast every week live from the studios of the Timeshares By Owner corporate office. That is just a little of what we do. We have the tools to rent and/or sell a client's timeshare and have been successful at doing just that since 1998.

Again, a refund of $2377 will be issued back to*** and he is also placed on our "do not solicit" list. I was told that after paying a fee my time share would be sold with then 6 months. I have requested that since time share not sold to refund my monies.
Instead they want me to pay 600.00 more to sell condo..

Desired Outcome

Refund If they can't sell time share liked they promises then refund all monies. I'm retired a. I don't have this kind of funds to throw around.

Our records indicate that Ms. has been a client of Timeshares By Owner since May 2, 2018 with marketing for her Westgate Towers timeshare in central Florida. Ms. purchased marketing from Timeshares By Owner in the amount of $325 to advertise her timeshare on our website and in our walk-in offices. When Ms. purchased our marketing, before we could accept her fee, a contract was signed. The contract included the fact there is a ten-day cancellation timeframe and as with all clients, we also conducted a Quality Control call right after the purchase in which she completely acknowledged her understanding of our terms and conditions. If there was not a complete acknowledgement of our terms and conditions in the Quality Control call or she did not understand what she purchased, a refund would have been processed.

In the correspondence prepared by Ms., she indicates that she was informed by the representative that sold her our services that her timeshare would be sold within six months and if the timeshare cannot be sold within that timeframe, she expects a refund of her marketing fees. In response, Timeshares By Owner cannot provide any guarantee of a rental or sale of a timeshare within a specific timeframe and that is why such information is provided in the contract and must be signed in advance of purchase--and it's why we conduct the Quality Control call. We are very good at what we do and we do generate over $10 million in transmitted offers on a monthly basis. We advertise in the USA Today as well as major city newspapers, billboards, TV (***), direct mail marketing, internet, and other forms of media. We also attend trade shows on a regular basis in which we display client ads, we distribute the Timeshare Trader publication on a monthly basis to the top vacation areas, and we sponsor our own podcast; "Vacation Time" broadcast every week live from the studios of the Timeshares By Owner corporate office. That is just a little of what we do. We have the tools to rent and/or sell a client's timeshare and have been successful at doing just that since 1998.

Again, a full refund of $325 will be issued back to *** and she is also placed on our "do not solicit" list. I was told that after paying a fee my time share would be sold with then 6 months. I have requested that since time share not sold to refund my monies.
Instead they want me to pay 600.00 more to sell condo..

Desired Outcome

Refund If they can't sell time share liked they promises then refund all monies. I'm retired a. I don't have this kind of funds to throw around.

I am in receipt of the recent complaint filed with your office by ***. Our records indicate that Ms. has been a client of Timeshares By Owner since May 2, 2018 with marketing for her Westgate Towers timeshare in central Florida. Ms. purchased marketing from Timeshares By Owner in the amount of $325 to advertise her timeshare on our website and in our walk-in offices. When Ms. purchased our marketing, before we could accept her fee, a contract was signed. The contract included the fact there is a ten-day cancellation timeframe and as with all clients, we also conducted a Quality Control call right after the purchase in which she completely acknowledged her understanding of our terms and conditions. If there was not a complete acknowledgement of our terms and conditions in the Quality Control call or she did not understand what she purchased, a refund would have been processed.

In the correspondence prepared by Ms., she indicates that she was informed by the representative that sold her our services that her timeshare would be sold within six months and if the timeshare cannot be sold within that timeframe, she expects a refund of her marketing fees. In response, Timeshares By Owner cannot provide any guarantee of a rental or sale of a timeshare within a specific timeframe and that is why such information is provided in the contract and must be signed in advance of purchase--and it's why we conduct the Quality Control call. We are very good at what we do and we do generate over $10 million in transmitted offers on a monthly basis. I have been working with Timesharesbyowner for over two years. They have been very honest with me as to advertising and renting my timeshare properties. Just recently, I have been working with their concierge department and I can truthfully say "Things are going well." In fact, they have completed 5 rental contracts for me in the last 3 days. WOW! All to my monetary benefit. Who are these people within the concierge department? One of their top members is Peter H. He is a great asset to the Time Shares by Owner Company. He is diligent in working to obtain the best situation for his clients, bar none. I would be remiss if I did not also mention three other people who do the same job: Arnie K,Yisely B and Brandi P. All of them are superb in what they do. From my position as one of their clients, I greatly appreciate their efforts. Keep up the good work.
