My sisters and I, one of whom is a rabid Beatrix Potter fan (she named her country property "Hilltop") had a most enjoyable tour of the Beatrix Potter sites and the Lake District with Andrew [redacted] of ToursbyLocals. He was a fountain of knowledge about Potter's legacy in the district and the district itself. He is a very pleasant and instantly likable fellow with a relaxed manner and had a gentle but firm way of keeping us on schedule. Our van was spacious and impeccably clean. I wouldn't hesitate to engage him for another tour.

The Cossacks Outpost was a great experience, and I highly recommend it. First, Yuri is a great guy. He's also well educated, fluent in English, and he lived through the turbulent times from the from the end of the USSR through today. Yuri tailored our tour specifically according to our requests. The highlight his small ranch near Yahotyn, for a slice of Ukrainian village life. Our day included home cooking and horseback riding. Yuri also took us to many unique sights Southeast of Kiev. Unforgettable!
WOW!!! AMAZING!! Dara was the most fantastic guide. He is friendly, knowledgable & helpful! He is good at showing you all the best spots for photo's & the best times to see the sites. We saw everything we wanted to, as well as being given interesting information. Dara's English is very good & he explains things very well. Without Dara we would not have seen Siem Reap the way we did & we would have missed a lot of things. THANK YOU to Dara for the most amazing time ever! I HIGHLY recommend him!!
Tomie was wonderful! Friendly, knowledgeable, good English skills. Walks very fast! :) The tour is comprehensive with a lot to see in just 8 hours. Good overview of Tokyo, and she will help you learn the subway lines. Glad we booked with Tomie!

It was a great idea to book the tour based on the good reviews. Even after 15-hours flight, being tired, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Vinod showed us the most interesting places in Abu Dhabi, answered all our questions, demonstrated very good knowledge of all aspects of the city and the sights we were interested in. He was very courteous. Also, his car was spacious, very clean, he even had cold drinks for us. We're extremely satisfied. Strongly recommend to others!
As a party of four we wanted a personalised tour of Alberobello in early September from our cruise ship in Bari, Italy. We had special needs since my husband has mobility difficulties. Although our booking was rather late, we received immediate, very considerate and efficient help from our tour organiser, Caron M. She responded compassionately and organised a wonderful tour and a very kind and knowledgable driver for us. We were able to customise our tour to our precise needs, were met punctually and greeted very warmly by Caron herself and our tour guide, whom she had selected very carefully to fit our needs. In summary, we were highly delighted with our excursion and would recommend Caron and Tours by Locals very strongly. The whole experience was far better, more personal and more economical than taking a group shore excursion organised by the cruise line.
This was the second back to back days of touring with Scott while aboard a cruise of the Hawaiian Islands. Firstly in Hilo and now following us around to Kona. The highlight today was a tour of Greenwell Farms Coffee Plantation, but Scott included so much more! He listened to what our interests were and make this our tour. Having our own private guide was perfect and I will definitely look up Tours by Locals for our next tour!

Walda is an amazing tour guide! I ordered a tour of the sold out Bosch exhibition for my parents who were visiting from NY. (She was able to get tickets to the climb of St. Jan's Cathedral that was sold out as well!) Her knowledge as an art historian was incredible. She added in so many personal details on Bosch's life and town that we wouldn't have gotten anywhere else, showing us where he lived and worked. She is a lovely, easy going tour guide with invaluable expertise that I would recommend to anyone!

I had requested a custom made temples tour and Sophy [redacted] put together one with visits to many temples at Pri Ruh, Mebon, Banteay samre, Banteay Srei, Beng Mealea, and 3 temples at Roulos. Once you let Sophy know your interests, he is ready to arrange a great tour and he is extremely energetic, knowledgeable and adapts to all the needs of the tourists. He was very easy to communicate with while setting up the tour, speaks good English, jovial, and is a wealth of information in general. He is the best.

This is an excellent tour to go around the Northern Laos including KongLor Cave. All of the activities in this tour were very well organized by Chansay. While visiting Puerto Rico, our group of 10 enjoyed a trip to the El Yunque rain forest and also a second tour of Old San Juan. On the day of our tour to the rain forest, our tour guide Héctor's van encountered a mechanical issue. Héctor quickly arranged things so that our tour continued without delay.
