Jesus provided an excellent tour of the Tabarnas Desert and the surrounding area, his knowledge and experience of this area and its wildlife was remarkable. He took the time to find out what I was interested in and made sure that all aspects were covered. He very clearly enjoys his work and this was reflected in the tour.
As a female travelling alone I at no time felt uncomfortable.
This tour more than exceeded my expectations and was the highlight of my time in Almeria!
Hanry is an excellent tour guide. His knowledge and sense of humour are an unbeatable combination. He organized our shore excursion from Kusadasi to Ephesus and other nearby historical sites that we had requested. It was an amazing experience to hear his vivid commentary as we explored the sites. It was a rainy day and we were expecting to be disappointed in our tour. Fortunately, we had chosen Elizabeth [redacted] for our guide. She turned what could have been a dismal day into a day of adventure. We actually did much more than we had expected. Elizabeth is knowledgeable and fun. She was adaptable to our needs and the demands of the weather. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and we certainly enjoyed our time with Elizabeth!
We enjoyed the tour very much. The guide was very informative, flexible to adapt to our needs, and made our experience much better. It might be possible to visit the sites at a lower cost but having a private guide makes everything much more relaxing.

I researched private tour guides for tours in Israel. Tours by Local affiliated guides were regularly among the most positively mentioned and reviewed. The guide I contacted was busy but he gave me a great reference to a perfect fit for my interests. I ended up having two full day tours, one with travel some distances, with our guide.
I found this service to very easy to use and a good way to contact well respected and vetted guides and to identify and tailor the trip to one's interest. Once we had the trip agreed to, it was easy to set up and pay. The cost is probably a bit more than for some other guides, but the quality and ability to tailor the experience to one's personal interests was invaluable. Our guide was really exceptional in terms of his knowledge and preparation.
I would highly recommend using Tours by Locals and have found that people using Tours by Local often use it again for different trips for different cities. They also have a means for both a public review and a private commentary/review for the guide after one completes each designed tour. I like that this can be used for constructive guidance for the guide for future consideration.
Peter was super! How could one person know so much about a city the size of historic Boston? Very informative, on time and made sure we saw or visited everything we asked. We would recommend Giorgi's tour outside of Tbilisi wholeheartedly and enthusiastically. The itinerary was well-planned and Uplistsikhe in particular was remarkable. Giorgi himself is very kind and accommodating, an excellent driver, and told us just enough about a sight to help us appreciate it without being overbearing. It is clear Giorgi loves what he does. We felt as though we were being shown around by a friend from the very beginning and that's not something we can expect with bigger tour companies.
Our full-day Food & Wine Tour with Matijas was probably the highlight of our 10-day trip to Croatia. Matijas created a tour that incorporated all our interests (food, wine, and more food), plus more (walks through the hilltop towns,achitecture, gorgeous scenery). We spent close to 10 hours with him but the hours simply flew by because we were having so much fun. You can instantly feel Matijas' passion for Istria and we are very grateful that he shared with us all the many reasons to love Istria. Priceless!
