Riccardo was an EXCELLENT guide. Personable and kind, he also has established all of the right connections within the tourism industry to make the experience seamless for his customers. He is an expert; his professional and educational background and his status as a local all added to that, and he clearly keeps current with developments in archaeology, history, natural history and other aspects of Sardinian culture. He added a trip to see a wonderful view of Cagliari to our itinerary to end a perfect day.

Not only did we see many Dunedin highlights including the Railway Station, Lanarch Castle, Olveston House, the Botanical Gardens, the Octagon, and the steepest street in the world but we did it all with a very personable and engaging guide. I had an overnight layover in Dubai and went to ToursbyLocals so I could experience the city. I am so glad I did. Our tour guide, Sunil, could not have been more amazing. We enjoyed a lovely day in Hong Kong, enhanced greatly by the information imparted by our tour guide, Frank. He was most knowledgeable about the culture and history of Hong Kong and able to inform us clearly and concisely. He managed our time ashore wisely, allowing us to spend time at each of the places on our itinerary and with a bit of time remaining for optional shopping at a local market. We were on a cruise, and Frank ensured we'd get back to the ship with time to spare.
We plan to use Tours by Locals in the future as we travel to new parts of this amazing world.

We spent the day touring Tauranga and Rotorua with Jan, and it was a perfect day! We hit the highlights in the short time we had available, including the Maori village, geothermal springs, kiwi world, and several other sights. Jan knew we wanted to see as much as possible and still make it to the airport in time for our flight home, and she handled the timing perfectly. We were never rushed or anxious. Because there is so much to see in Rio this is a great tour to go on. Simone was great. She easily accommodated my destination wishes and offered suggestions when I was undecided on where to go next. Her suggestions were much better than my choices. You literally can choose wherever you want to go and Simone will get you there. The arranged transportation worked great.
