My rental home was just bought by Tricon American Homes a little while ago
On September 30th 2017, I opened a maintenance request because there was a leak under my kitchen sinkI was never contacted by Tricon, but instead I had about different companies come in and out of my home, still with no communication from TriconOn October 4th a company hired by Tricon came in to my home and ripped out my full kitchenWhen doing this, they unplugged my refrigerator and turned off my water to my entire homeDoing this they left myself and my three children with no water and rubies over $worth of food! I called the maintence department letting them know that hat I had no water and was told I would be called back, but NEVER received -a call from themBecause of this I had to take my kids and go to a hotel for days!! With no word from anyone! I finally contacted the only live person that I knew at Tricon, *** *** and let her know what was going onAt this time I was told t

Tricon properties recently purchased Silverbay Property Management who has inaccurately reported negative information to my credit reportI do not have any contracts or lease agreements with them and have disputes the charges they are accusing me ofI do not owe these charges and have paid everything up to dateThis has caused a negative effect on my credit report ehen these issues were resolvedThese charges are erroneous and I correct Silver bay was a horrible company and has accused previous tenants of erroneous charges as wellThese charges are coming from a home in Columbus, Ohio that was once managed by silberbay property management

Employees continully harassed me I was a tenant in one of their propertiesI moved in August and I am now getting collections callsThey are trying to claim I owe in damagesI was told week before my yearly renewal that they were not going to renew my leaseThe employee *** *** is disrespectful and very unfriendlyThey wouldnt cut my grass for months in than claimed I had to but the lease stated that it was included*** said I was to cut it even though I lived in an apartment building with other tenants When I pursued to get the grass cut in August *** gave me a very hard time I had to contact *** *** to get the grass cut but *** was never punished for the way she treated me so than a year lady she waited on purpose until july to call me and tell me she wouldnt be renewing my lease ( *** gets the leases signed by tenants)I moved out not only did they keep my deposit but they claim not that I owe them Horrible compa

Tricon American Homes is garbageNot only does their maintenance team not do their job, but the people who work for Tricon like the property managers or whatever they are called are unresponsive, unprofessional, and have the worst customer service in the worldMy family and I were told to switch homes due to chimney damage from the hurricane, because for some reason they couldn't just put us in a hotel for a week to fix it or let us stay there and just fix it when the lease was upWe never used it anywaysSo we were rushed out to move into another home within a week spanThe company was supposed to reimburse us for hotel and move expenses to apply to rent, and I've been consistently reaching out to Amanda D*** and her boss Mary Z*** with no responseWe moved in almost two weeks ago, and now, at the rate they are going, I'm going to have to pay October and Novembers rent at the same timeThis entire experience has been the worst, and the company has not even tried to make it anywhere near easyWhen I tried to share my experiences and give that feedback to Mary who's a boss for Tricon, she sent me to voicemail and didn't return my callsSo now I will tell the world insteadI can't wait for my lease to be up

I moved out of my rental property days ago, after living there for years and monthsI paid my rent in full and on time every monthI gave a written notice of intent to vacateI turned in all my keys and left the property cleaner than I received itI supplied my carpet cleaning receiptI did everything by the bookTricon can't seem to do the sameCalifornia law's Civil Code Secsays that Tricon American has days after I turned in my keys to return my security deposit or mail receipts to account for my moneyI have received neitherI have tried contacting them via phone calls/messages, and emails, but have got nowhere with them since Ms*** ***, Portfolio Manager, is NEVER available, yet responsible for writing these checks or communicating with meThis company is lacking in communication and integrity

refund previously mailed out. It appears Ms*** listed “*** *** ** *** *** ** ***” as her home address on the application and as such the refund check was mailed out to this location. I will ask my accounting team to re-issue a $refund check and mail it to the address provided in this complaint (*** *** *** ** ** *** ** ***). We contacted Tricon American Homes to rent a home in Columbia, SC after relocating from IndianaAfter speaking with *** and explaining the situation that we had only been here for a couple of weeks (my husband had been on his job for only weeks, but we had a substantial amount saved) she assured us that it was no problem and that we should continue with the application process so we did right away to take advantage of their "free" months rentWe downloaded all of the information they asked for and received a call the next day saying they needed another pay stub which I explained to her that my husband wouldn't receive until FridayShe said she would contact the lady processing the application (which we were made to believe she was processing the application) and let us knowWe never heard a word back from ***days later I had a missed call from whoever was processing our application (in Charlotte, NC) asking for me to return her call so I didI called and left her at

I have been a customer since 2016, at this time I am disgruntled about the response concerning my maintenance repair requestCurrently, my air conditioner unit is not working and has not for days I have submitted a maintenance repair request, I called to check the status of the repairIt seems that none of the representatives has a statusI was only told, that they are waiting on a vendor to pithe request and could not tell me how long it would takeThis is unacceptableHere in Georgia our temperatures was degrees over the weekendI have a son that is asthmatic and last night was really hard on him due to the house temperature being 87-degreesHe was having a hard time breathing and which we almost when to the hospitalAlthough we had fans, the heat and humidity was unbearableI have nowhere else to send him to other than the hospitalI am requesting a hotel stay on the expense of Tricon until the unit can be repairedThe lack of air conditioning in the home has become a health hazard

4th leak repair in the ceiling They sent employees over who admitted they didn't know what they were doing as far as repair along with paint Previous painting from previous leak they painted the wrong color over the area This repair they decided to supposedly paint the entire ceiling Not only did they do a botched job with the leak repair, but the paint job for the ceiling areas are missing, big noticeable chunks of paint I have phoned called, etc with all reassuring me that this would be corrected, however for about weeks no one returned my calls I called again yesterdayand finally received a call today but Alexandria stated that she basically will not approve for correction NONE OF THIS IS MY FAULT If I were to move, they would repair the paint, and redo the area where the hole was, I don't see the difference in repairing it now

I've been a resident since June and always treated the property with up most respectRecently my bathroom toilet has been running constantly while on vacation and when I got back I tried days in a row to file a maintenance requestwhen I went online the request page wouldn't load properly but conveniently worked for rent paymentsWhen I would call in there was always a message saying continue holding or leave a messageNo call back was received when I left a message and if I held on the line it would just hang upMy water bill ballooned to over $which is 4Xs the highest its been in a month where my family was gone for a week in a monthI felt that Tricon should issue me a rent credit for the water billKelvin didn't even address that request, he just stated he would put a repair request inSo disappointed over the issue and I wont be referring my new work colleagues relocating to this area

I lost my job on 9/11/2015, sold my house so that I could pay my creditors leased from TAH in Dec I was working as a contractor with a employment agency, and the client was an energy company The employment agency filed bankruptcy in April of 2016, and the energy company was talking of doing the same thingNeedless to say I lost my job The same week I was let go, another company called me and long story short, I was offered the job, but it was in San Antonio., I let TAH know that I was moving and asked if there were homes in San Antonio, that I could lease so I would not have to break this one or transfer to since it was for a job and they said no So I had to break my lease, since there was nothing more I could do
Now I have moved back to houston where my family lives I have a great job that I start on 1/3/and I am homeless because of TAH Because I broke that lease Not one of their representatives have spoken to me, despite the many emails I have sent
How is it ok to leave someone homeless? When cirsumstances were out of that person's control? Its not like I could have stopped the employment agency from filing bankruptcy? Or the client from filing bankruptcy But yet this is all my fault? I understand if circumstances were different where I should be held responsible for breaking the lease, but the circumstances were not different and I had no choice So why is it ok for TAH to make it so that I cannot lease any more until I pay them $3k for breaking the lease? Why is it ok for them to leave me homeless??? How is that right?

If you have a maintenance issue, you can absolutely count on your problem NOT being resolved for days, weeks evenSince we moved in we have had issues with the garage doorsEvery time we call to get it fixed it takes foreverNobody works on the weekends so if you have a job during the week you might as well take the week off, because their going to call you an hour before the tech can come to ask if you’re availableI guess they think we all sit around at home all day waiting for something to breakThen when you call to inquire about your request, please believe that you will be on hold for about 10mins at leastThat’s If they answer and you don’t get a voicemailIt has rained everyday for the past week and we have had to get out of the car during thunderstorms to manually open and close a garage door that’s supposed to work by remoteBut what do they care? It’s not their home

I want to say this is by far the most heartless unprofessional company I ever in my life see and had to deal with I lived in the house I rented for four years wit my four kids ages 11,9,and We were happy there loved our home loves the area and took good care of it Back in June I was served wit a day notice to vacate the premises without any reason, hadn't done anything wrong and took very good care of the place, to the point where I made repairs they failed doingI called and tried to reason with them told them I would pay more and do anything to be able to stay in the homeEverytime I had to deal wit these people I always got some kind of attitude and treated really rude everytime I needed something from them it would take weeks unpon weeks and to attempts to get any thing from themWhen I first moved in a diff company was the realtors the 2nd year they moved to tricon well since I moved in the roof had been leaking made several maintance request and never got it fixedMold had been thru the hole ceiling in the room but they did nothingThe town I live in the housing market has sky rocketed so this couldn't be any more of a worse time to be put outFor no reasonThen during my day they sent me a letter saying my lease has been renewed and as of oct any payment late there would be a fee and so on and so fourth, then I was confused cuz here iam wit a day to vacate but get a letter saying my lease has beem renewed, I for some dumb reason got happy again thought they messed up somewhere or something and I could still live there but knew n my heart it was an errorI called to see what it was about and they said it gets sent to all their residents I shud disregard that letter and still go off my day noticeWOW the heart break me and my children went thruHaven't been able to find anything to move into that's a reasonable price wit enough roomI moved out seperated from of my kids for the first time ever heart broken sick from being without them, staying wit people from house to houseAnd the day I move out they have the nereve to tell me that I had to move so they could fix the repairs that needed to b done wit the roof! We have been charged unnecessary late fees more than onceThey received a check from us for rent but returned it then filed eviction against usThey have now restricted our ability to pay our rent online and never informed is that our account was lockedThe rent is due by the 5th but they stated if they don't receive a mailed check in their office on the 5th then it is considered lateI am located in Texas and the mailing address to send checks is CaliforniaThat causes me to have to send out a check on or even before the 1st of the month to ensure that it gets their before the 5th, which is ridiculousTypically the landlords that I have rented with in the past don't consider it late unless the letter is post marked after the due date of the rentThey filed eviction on us way too soon and now are demanding that we pay for the legal fees

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE IN REGARDS TO MAINTENANCE REQUESTS!!
My husband and I have literally been in our home for one month and have had all sorts of issues with the home we are rentingLong hold times when calling in maintenance requestsThey do not get back to you in a timely manner, even with emergenciesNo one calls backThey have sent 3-different contractors to our home to "fix" the problems with sewer/plumbingWe have had ever issue you can think ofFrom plumbing backing up, central a/c not working/cooling, no hot water for days nowNo way to get a hold of anyone to request maintenanceThey are quick to want rent money, but could care less if you are having issues with your homeNever again will we rent with Tricon American homes

I HAVE BLACK MOLD THAT HAS BEEN REPORTED SINCE 8/24/AND NO ONE HAS EVEN TESTED FOR IT TO TREAT IS SINCE BEING REPORTED AND TODAY IS 9/5/!!!!!!!!!!!
Let me start from the BEGINNING - The very first day I met with the TAH Rep at the property to sign the lease (3/21/16), we discovered the toilet running in the guest bathroomA maintenance man came to fix the leak the day after I moved in (4/1/16)The toilet stopped running temporarilyI was in and out of town and barely using the guest bathroom so I didn't pay it much mind for a while, but when I came back one day and realized the toilet was running non-stop 24/7, I reported the running toilet again on 5/18/The toilet was again temporarily fixed on 5/20/On 6/30/I reported the running toilet issue again and it was not resolved until 7/8/(temporary fix)On 7/1/I reported HUGE spiders all over my house, for some reason that request was denied although they probably came out of the HUGE HOLE that TAH left in my kitchen behind the refrigerator, but that's neither here nor thereOn 7/7/I reported the toilets running ONCE AGAINThey supposedly resolved the issue on 7/26/although I was told by one of the Plumbers that the entire toilet and pipes that go with it may need to be replacedI reported HUGE SPIDERS on 7/13/ONCE AGAIN - this time someone came out and sprayed on 7/21/16, but it didn't help because GUESS WHAT - I STILL HAVE HUGE SPIDERS EVERYWHEREWhich brings me to MY LAST report on 8/24/I began to hear a LOUD hissing noise coming from my refrigerator, much different than a refrigerator's natural home (if it were older, for instance)So I pulled the refrigerator back and I see this hole in the wall, with a bottle sticking out, and a sock stuffed in the hole with the bottle, and there is this hose that is coming from the refrigerator and it is going out of this hole with this bottle and this sock, and it is SPRAYING EVERYWHERE!! There is a constant, steady, FORCEFUL leakAlong with that, MOLD, MOLD, MOLD!!! BLACK MOLD!!!!!!!!! WITH A HOLE BIG ENOUGH I CAN SEE THE SUNLIGHT THROUGH IT!! AND GUESS WHAT ELSE - AS SOON AS I LOOKED A LITTLE LONGER - A HUGGGGGEEE BLACK SPIDER CRAWLED OUTWell what do ya knowI have BLACK MOLD, CONSTANT LEAKS, and HUGE SPIDERS in this house and no one will even come to TEST the mold to see if it is the mold that KILLS !!!!!! Well, I take that back, they sent a MrTommy out here to TAKE PICTURESSSSSSSSSSS on 5/26/He did not come to help, he did not come to test the mold, he did not test the air, he did not remove the mold, he told me not to remove the mold either, HE SAID HE WAS ONLY THERE TO TAKE PICTURES.....Ok fineI said go ahead and take the picture thenTHIS MAN apoligized and said his phone was dead and he needed to drive up the street to charge it????????? OKHe left, stayed gone almost an hour, and I had a conference call come up so I called and asked him to come the next day b/c there was no way for me to begin work with my children in the house with STRANGERSHe said he would be back the following MondayHe returned the following Monday 8/29/to take the pictures as promisedHe left and I have not heard a word from anyoneAt first I was facing 49,gallon water bills within a month and THREATS to turn off my water supply which would prevent me from PREPARING MEALS for and BATHING my children (WHICH I AM STILL FACING RIGHT NOW TODAY)But NOW I am ALSO facing possible exposure to a DEADLY mold and I am breathing the poison in daily while TAH drags their feetI am going to have news cast reporters interviewing me in my home very soon as well as contact with the proper authoritiesThis is all very unacceptable and I will let everyone I come in contact know how horrible of a company this is

I have made several requests to spay for bugs because of bugs that have entered my home because of a septic tank backupThe company has not contacted me and refused to follow up with meThe bugs are coming out of the drainsThis indicates further sewage problems that need to be addressedI have called left messages, emailed and done over request through the portalThe company refuses to contact me

Tricon American Homes is the worst management company I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with They are never available to assist with issues They is no follow up with maintenance requests When work is actually done, it is usually sub-par (patch work instead of proper fix)
It is nearly impossible to speak with a person to take care of anything The online system is extremely limited and has bugs/glitches There are no means of contacting anyone outside of the automated system which rarely connects to anyone other than a leasing agent

I have had an extensive number of issues in the home I am presentlyrentingSo much that I am seeking to have a home inspector come outI presently have a stove that has no powerI have called so many times that I am sickend at this pointMy first experience was a flood the very first week in the home, which "waste" saturated the floors in the basementThe carpet was NEVER replaced and never professionally cleanedI used every towel and even sheets of my own to soak up sitting water from such a huge back upNext I did not have gas in the home for at least a week due to an incorrectly installed water tankThe gas company said the install was incorrect and hazardousSo they refused to turn it on until Tricon fixed itI had electrical issues in power outlets in the homeAn electrician came out and fixed itHowever at this present time, I am going on almost weeks of having a stove and other power outlets that do not workI reported this first on June and it is almost weeks later and still nothingeverytime I call I have to re-explain the situation as if no one is aware of the problemAlthough I loved the home, the problems have been a real headacheThe amount of money I pay should not resort to this type of treatmentAt this point, I feel like I should be compensated for being offered a home that seems to have a lot of un-identified hazardsIf Tricon will not provide a home inspection, then I will get one and identify the true problems which may have to be reported to the cityThere is no excuse for this behaviorI have been a good tenant up until this point and I do not like to create problems, but this has been total unfair treatment

GARBAGE RENTAL COMPANY!!!! DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!! I have never written a review about anything ever before! This company is so terrible that I need to write something to help out others!!
In SeptHurricane Irma hit FL, Damage to the roof was not fixed for MONTHS! I made maintenance requests over and over...nothingcalled...nothing...posted on their Facebook page....nothingWhen they finally came out they did such a terrible job I would have rather paid for it myself to be fixed!
Jan- FL gets 30-degree weather, I find out our heater doesn't workI many an emergency request, days laternothing! Call and they said oh call the vendor and ask them...seriously?!?! I have never had to go looking for vendors with any other property management companyI finally get a hold of the vendor and Tricon didn't even send them the request until I called!days with no heat, no communication, NOTHING!
Please do not rent from Tricon American Homes! TRUST ME! If anything goes wrong in the house, expect to have to either do it yourself or wait MONTHS to get it fixed
