I truly apologize but this debt has been turned over to a 3rd party agency, we would need the proof of cancellation to be able to assist you further

I do apologize but we do not currently have an active membership for you. Looks like it has been cancelled over a week ago. According to your agreement you have business days to cancel in order to receive a refund in full. Do you have any thing tangible with regards to your club
efforts to cancel? Email, text, etc.?

In response to this yes I did pay the months after the contract was over on March 2016 even when I told them that the CONTRACT was over, I completed the 1 year and then even paid 4 months afterwards because TRUFIT never cancel my account even when I specify told them to cancel since I had already complete the 1 year contract!! Again I paid 4 months after it was canceled because according to them they never said I cancel the membership, this company TurFit is just trying to hold on to members even after the contract is over! Whats the purpose of a contract if they still going to charge you after its over!!

The club has made a few attempts to contact you and resolve this onsite.  In order to refund your cash, we will need to do this at the club level.  Please contact [redacted] at the [redacted] club.

My apologies, this was a timing issue.  Your debit was scheduled to come out on 9/28 the same date of our communication.  The refund has been requested and you should see it in the next few days.

I am rejecting this response because: I canceled my membership a second time in July of 2016 because I noticed that you were still taking money out of my account after I canceled my membership in October 2015.  I have received no refund and you owe me $685. Per the GM Mr. [redacted]  there is 2 accounts on file.  One is my back account and the other is not mine.  If you have been sending this money to that account you might try getting it back because it is not mine.  I believe that it was employee human error that put that other account in my file.  I did what Trufit required.  I gave a copy of the sales contract to (i think his name was [redacted]) sale rep that initial signed me up for Trufit.  I have also gave the same stuff plus bank statements showing all the withdraws that were taking out of my account after I canceled my membership.  As also required I live out side the 25 mile requirement ( I live 26.9 miles).

contract. I did have to go through corporate which is a hassle within itself as there is no phone number. After three different email addresses someone finally responded. Corporate agreed to end the contract in December and the local office refused to do so until the end of February. They also waived the requirement that we must notify them by certified mail. Had we known that we would have to go through all these ridiculous steps we would not have joined this gym. The local handling of this was horrible and we will never recommend this gym to anyone else. Initially we were never informed of an equipment fee and it is obviously not my husband's initials in this box. Additionally we belonged to this gym years ago when it was owned by another company and the equipment has only gone downhill. I had to try five treadmills in a row to find one that worked. There were always notes on machines that they were not operational. The gym is dirty and not maintained. We were told when we signed up there would be a drink and snack service coming in. That never happened. Our card didn't work several different times and each time we were assured it had been taken care of to have it happen again. The trainers who use the gym with their clients take over machines and on several occasions we would be on a machine and they would come over and tell us they needed it to finish a set. They literally "claim" three machines at a time, even though they can't use them all at once. Just a very frustrating experience and we will never return as long as it is owned and managed by the same corporation.

Now I am seeing a $49 charge... what is that for?

My apologies for your concerns, I will do my best to resolve.  I have waived your delinquencies and cancelled your membership.

Thank you for your inquiry and time.  The signed agreement we have on file indicates a 12 month term membership, starting 09.15 and ending 10.16.  Was proof of your medical condition provided to the local club?  We can not locate this info and it is not attached to your membership.

The signed agreement on file is for a 12 month term membership.  According to your agreement you can cancel this if you move 25+ miles from our club, medical reasons or if you cancelled within 3 business days.  You do have the option to pay the remainder of your term membership to cancel and this can be done at the local club.
