[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] They deliberate never put my loan on deferment if they did I would had got an email. I had access to the loan on the website and will provide documentation the loan was never on deferment. Also they have my email address and I never received an email that my loan was out of deferment. My other lender sent me an email and asked me if I need deferment. I reply an received deferment. I will provide documentation to proof my side. I called them, they never called me. I checked my phone logs and there is no calls from them. I already negotiated to pay $extra to get my loan out of collection, which they caused. Something is wrong here when my other lender gave me deferment so easily

The Address changes you listed on 1/27/2016, 4/7/and 4/19/are the incorrect changes that I referred to in my complaintThose were made by your system and should not have occurredI called in November to have my address changed and that is the ONLY address change that should be in your systemI had to call back in February to change my address again after it was somehow changed in your system on 1/27/An error on your part resulted in these incorrect address changes, which are the reason that I never received my bills and had late paymentsI have a 97.5% on-time payment history with UAS, even with those late payments that were caused by your system errorI spoke to two supervisors who said they would make a note of the address change error in my account and told me to file a Transunion dispute to have the late payments removed promptly, because they did not have the authority to do soMy dispute came back and the late payments were not removedI would like UAS to remove all late payments from my credit report in light of their system errorI have spent several hours now trying to deal with this and am very dissatisfied with UAS and their customer service department.

UAS owes me an overpayment to my student loan account that has since been refinanced and transferred to another lender as of mid-January of this year. Account number 360003421851 from lender Century Bank had an overpayment of $1,021.71 that was due back to me at the time the account was transferred.

Have been in touch with UAS several times both by secure messaging and via phone customer support since JANUARY, and was told different things by different people, but the general consensus seems to be that they mailed me a check for the overpayment in early April. This was after I was supposed to wait 45-60 days for the check to be cut and contacted them after 60 days had passed and the check had not been cut!

To make a long story short, we are now in mid-May and I have not received the check. Their customer support claims to have NO WAY TO CONFIRM THAT A CHECK HAS BEEN ISSUED OR CASHED. If they are not lying and a check was mailed, it seems to have gotten lost in the mail and I would like to have a replacement issued. You would think they would want the same thing for the sake of their accounting practices!

I just want my the money that is due to me so I can put it toward the balance of the new loan with my new lender. Thankfully the new lender does not use UAS to service. I just want to be done dealing with this terrible company!

University Accounting Service, LLC (UAS) received the complaint filed by Brenna [redacted] in which she states she has been unable to receive full forbearance with no payments due. Ms. [redacted] has one account serviced by UAS. Account ID [redacted] is an educational line of credit from First Tech...

Federal Credit Union. First Tech Federal Credit Union has granted 44 months of forbearance on the student loan account. This is in excess of the 12 months generally granted. The most recent offer of forbearance sent to Ms. [redacted] on 12/22/2016 for a Zero-Pay Forbearance from 10/20/2016 to 12/20/2016 with a Partial Pay Forbearance at $20 per month from 01/20/2017 to 04/20/2017 is the best that can be offered due to the extended amount of forbearance she has used on her account. To accept the offer of forbearance, Ms. [redacted] should sign and return, as soon as possible, the forbearance agreement previously sent. The $20 activation requirement has been satisfied by a payment of $25 made on 01/06/2017. Sincerely, Debbie [redacted] Regulations Specialist

Student deferment was processed to the account for the period 11/1/2015 - 2/1/2016; this occurred in January 2016. According to the National Student Clearinghouse, the borrower was enrolled less than half time during Fall semester 2016, which is not eligible for deferment. If borrower has documentation of being enrolled at least half time as determined by the school he attended, he should send it to UAS for processing. UAS can't act on a Request for Deferment until we receive it.

The consumer is the cosigner on Account ID [redacted], a student loan from Alliant Credit Union on which [redacted] is the primary borrower. An ACH payment of $7,500 was scheduled for 2/23/2018 from a bank account in [redacted] name. However, the bank account on which the payment was drawn...

was reported as closed on 2/28/2018 when the payment was negotiated. At about the same time, another entry of bank account information was created in the UAS payment system. When an electronic payment is created it is tied to a specific bank account; therefore, the payment was not drawn on the new bank account. The payment was replaced on 3/1/2018. The client agreed to waive all late fees and check return fees. The next payment of $50.00 is due 4/2/2018.

In response to complaint ID [redacted], our records show complainant reached our customer service representative by telephone on June 22, 2015 and resolved the issue. If further assistance is needed, complainant should contact Team Lead [redacted] directly at [redacted]. Office hours are 7 am to 5...

The consumer complains that credit history reported by UAS is incorrect. The consumer has one account serviced by UAS: a Federal Perkins student loan account from Washington University. The borrower submitted paperwork to apply for a partial cancellation of the loan. UAS received the paperwork on...

2/12/2018 and updated the account by processing the partial cancellation on 3/22/2018. The Washington University portfolio is new to UAS, and processing of benefit forms may be delayed for a new portfolio due to the transition process. However, the account already was delinquent when UAS received the form from the consumer. She should have provided paperwork to the previous servicer in June 2017 to receive a partial cancellation at the time. When the consumer's form was not received, the previous servicer granted the appropriate grace period and set the next payment date at 12/29/2017. The consumer did not make the 12/29/2017 payment or the one due on 1/29/2018 before reaching out to UAS for the proper benefits forms on 2/8/2018.When the benefit was applied on 3/22/2018 the account was updated to show no delinquency. The account was reported to credit bureaus as not delinquent with our 4/1/2018 submission and any previous delinquency was updated to show no delinquency. The consumer should allow time for the credit bureaus to update their records.

According to UAS records, complainant’s accounts are in deferment. On January 14, 2016, complainant called UAS to request her accounts be deferred. At that time, complainant’s accounts were considered delinquent by the client and had been placed with Enterprise Recovery Systems for collection. UAS...

advised complainant that for student deferment to be accepted by the client she would need to cover the period 12/1/14-5/1/15 by making a payment or applying for a benefit. The information previously had been communicated to complainant via letter sent on December 16, 2015. Complainant applied for and was granted forbearance for the period of 12/1/14-5/1/15, which allowed UAS to apply the subsequent student deferment for the period 5/1/15-5/1/16 (this includes a post-deferment grace period). Please note that UAS does not receive deferment information from the National Student Loan Data Services (NSLDS). After the forbearance and student deferment were applied, UAS provided the requested account status letter to the borrower; this letter indicated the account was not in default. The accounts were deferred through the Fall 2015 semester, with the post-deferment grace period ending 5/1/2016. If complainant is enrolled for the current, Spring 2016 semester, she needs to provide documentation of enrollment. She will need to provide such documentation for each new term. If complainant has any questions relating to the account status, she may contact UAS Supervisor [redacted] Sincerely, [redacted] Regulations Specialist
