   When waste management's driver cannot pick up the container because Of bad weather, road repairs or a tenant car parking for the dumpster they charge us for the pick up.  So when the driver comes back when we were on a twice monthly program there would definitely be extra trash. We paid for a pick up but the trash is still there. The property generates the same amount of trash each and every week. For over 10 years we had  pick up every two weeks. We switched to weekly pick up and of course for two weeks in a row for some reason the driver could not pick up the container.  They continue to bill us for trash that they never picked up. This is why they've been overages and then they want to charge us $110 for this overage . I would like them to take all the overage and all the extra fuel charges off the bill completely. Amanda knew we were being overcharged that's why she took all of them off but one but she also left the fuel surcharge on which I believe was around $245 . As I stated before for over 10 years I pick up every two weeks was satisfactory. If they missed the pick up two weeks later he would take it of course there be more trash but that driver never charge just for the overage . If they don't pick up the trash how can they bill me and then the next week build me $110 for an overage on top of the normal charge which is only $109 a month for for pick ups. The past due balance resulted in suspension of service for nonpayment and additional finance charges for late payments received.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  They only repeated what I detailed in my original complaint. They offered to continue services through the "subscription period" but I have already secured trash services through another company. Again, this "subscription policy" is reportedly on the bill but when you sign up for paperless billing you log in and you pay your bill and I would bet most people don't actually look at the bill and are completely unaware of this policy. They have resolved nothing. I have still paid them for services they have not provided.

Review: I cancelled my waste pickup service in writing when I received my last bill 3 months ago. They did not accept my written cancellation request and continued to bill me. I called to rectify the situation and was told that I needed to call in the cancellation. I was also told that they were going to charge me $40 to have the containers picked up. There was no information portrayed about the $40 fee to pick up containers. This appears to be a random charge that the customers are not made aware of. Since when is a written cancellation not acceptable?Desired Settlement: I would like my written cancellation (3 months ago) to be accepted and not be charged for additional services by crediting my account. Also should not be charged a $40 container pickup fee since customers are not made aware of this random fee.

Reference is made to the above-mentioned complaint that you filed with the Revdex.com against Waste Management. We would like to provide our response.

We apologize for any inconvenience you inccurred in attempting to cancel your account. You stated that you wrote a note to cancel your account on the last invoice that you submitted. The invoices and payments that are submiitted are sent to a payment processing center. Unfortunately our cancellation department did not receive notification from the payment processing center that you wanted to cancel your account. Our first notification would have been the telephone call that you made on September 9, 2013.

Your account was cancelled effective August 31, 2013. Since you received services in July and August 2013, you re responsible for those charges. Since you had not signed a service agreement with Waste Management, we will not charge you the normal removal fee that is charged when an account is cancelled, as noted on our service agreements. You will revceive a new invoice for July and August 2013 service. Please pay that invoice and your account will be closed with a -0- balance.

We hope that this will provide closure to the issue that you had. should you have any questions or need any additional information, please feel free to contact our ofice at your convenience.
